A bad shoulder, Scoliosis, neck pain and occasional lower back pain were the main problems. When my husband and I met with Dr. Graham for my initial consult, we were very impressed with his knowledge, how professional he was and how he was eager to help. He also has a sense of humor, which we loved. He also will tell you whether he thinks he can help you or not. We were impressed with his honesty. It also meant a lot to me that Dr. Graham was willing to let my husband in on the consult and other follow-up consults and improvements. This helps my husband to understand what the issues are and the ability to see the improvements going forward. My husband is very supportive and this is important to me. My initial X-Rays, showed that my neck was misaligned and that my scoliosis was quite prominent. My spine had a definite U in it. Yes, it was shocking for me to see that. After the first month of adjustments, my husband noticed that when I now walk or stand, my shoulders are even. He said that, one shoulder used to be higher than the other. I had no idea that was the case. Wow! It was nice to hear that some improvement had begun. Dr. Graham took another set of X-Rays about 4 months later. This set of X-Rays showed big improvements in both my neck and spine. My spine was what wowed me. It was more or a C curve versus a U curve. I understand that my spine may not ever be perfectly straight again, but any improvements are good. However, it may continue to improve over time. Not in my wildest dreams did I think my spine could be improved, especially at my age. What's not to like? My shoulder is a lot better and flexible. My lower back pain is just about gone. I use my neck block every day to speed up the alignment in my neck. Even when we are on vacation. I have been getting my adjustments religiously. I have been to other Chiropractors in the past. There is no comparison between the way they perform their practice and the unique way Crossroads Chiropractic performs theirs. I will be forever be grateful for having the pleasure of coming here and having met Dr. Graham and seeing all the good he does. Leah has been accommodating, friendly and professional. Once upon a time, I had major hip problems- it was so bad I could barely walk some days. Coach Kyle and the SLNH team not only got my hip back in shape, but I'm healthier and stronger than ever before. Coach Kyle's nutrition guidance (and general lifestyle guidance) got me back on a healthy track. I LOVE the customized programs, and even though there are other folks in the gym at the same time as me, I never feel awkward or pressured, only encouraged. The gym has changing rooms, a shower on site, and is super clean. Coach Kyle's dog Roma is always there to greet you with a wagging tail :). I work out with athletes from a variety of sports, people recovering from surgeries, young adults, fitness nuts, the average Joe, etc.- and they have all become like family. My ortho told me we could try PT but due to the damage he couldn't guarantee it would prevent what he felt was an impending full knee replacement. The staff of CPTE got me in so quickly and worked incredibly hard with me. I started with Cameron in the pool and the occasional land appointment. He was patient with me and pretended to like my corny jokes. The pool was the perfect place to start while I got some stability and strength back. Liz, Danica, Kathryn and Tess worked with me on land appointments and gently increased the difficulty. They were great motivators and always held me accountable. On top of this, literally everyone is super nice. They're relatable and easy to talk with which makes each appointment more fun. I am moving cross country in a week or else I would go as long as my insurance would let me. The best part? My ortho doctor no longer thinks I need regular cortisone shots and has taken surgery off of the table for the time being. Please do yourself a favor and choose CPTE. That was all I had gone in for, and I requested no adjustments to my neck as I both had spinal surgery (fusion, C5-7) 3 years prior, had no pain or problems there since, and wanted to keep it that way. She respected my wishes, and we never had a problem. When Dr. Mary moved out of state, I moved over to Dr. Chris, who had a good reputation. Someone in my family had gone to him for years and had nothing but positives to say. My first two or three times were fine. I had also explained to him my spinal surgery and my request for no neck adjustments. I then noticed a distinct lack of professionalism the next time or two, as he primarily complained about his workload and how long his days were. Odd, but fine. Unfortunately the last straw for me was my last appointment 6 weeks ago. He performed a neck adjustment without asking. I immediately felt pain in the same spot I had my surgery and was very concerned. I hoped it would reside later, but it did not. I called back the office and came back in for x-rays. He said that he had forgotten about my medical record and request. Thankfully, the hardware was not damaged. I discussed options and what might be wrong with Dr. Chris, who apologized. I then requested he send me the notes on what we had discussed, to which he responded that there would be no way he would remember what we discussed later in the day and he was very busy with patients. I said I understood his position, but requested he understand mine that if he would not recall, how would I as a layperson recall his descriptions and medical terminology? He then jotted some notes and said he would follow-up. I waited a couple of days and called the office as he had not followed up as he said. When I still did not receive an email a couple of days later, I called again, after which Dr. Chris did email me with a summary of notes as we had discussed. The pain has persisted which has prompted a return to my surgeon's office to confirm no further damage was done. While I understand people make mistakes, forgetting your patient had significant spinal surgery and specific request to avoid this area is unacceptable. I am also concerned about the level of unprofessionalism surrounding these experiences. Further, as I had not had a day of pain since my surgery until this mistake, I am certain I will not return.

I'm sharing my experience so no one else has to go through the same. Below is detailed story: My evaluation app was at 6:00pm. I got there by 5:50pm. It was full of people there, no one wearing a mask even though the cases of Covid were very high at that time... I waited for 45 minute to hear she needed to go home but Ashley would take me. Ashley was very sweet and professional. We did the evaluation and I was supposed to get splints done. I asked them about the prices for each session, for the splint and how it would work which they dismissed and told me to not worry. I insisted and found that 1 session is $250. No one told me anything about how was it supposed to work or what was the plan for my therapy. 1st session: I was scheduled for 11am, and I arrived at 10:45. Got there and there were 4 other patients in the room. I waited for 35 minutes unsupervised until someone checked on me. She finally came to me, never introduce herself and though I was a different patient. I had to mention everything from my evaluation again ( like it never happened). She got up, and went to get something. After 20 minutes she comes back the splint. It was already 12pm and I had no treatment. I asked her, what is going on, when am I going to do my treatment or exercise. She said, oh do you want some exercise? I can give you some.... I had to leave to go back to work. Why was she having 3 people at the same time when this was supposed to be a one on one therapy? Why she didn't explain my treatment plan or how was it going to help me? Why did she do my splint at the time of my treatment? I called them to confront on this and asked If I was going to be charged for a treatment I didn't have and the split as well. She told me to not worry that everything would be better and I was not going to be charged by something I didn't get...... On session 2 my app was at 12:00 pm and I needed to be out at 1pm. This time I only waited 15 minutes till she came to me. And of course she was working with another patient as well. (I was never told it was group therapy). She asked me if I wanted to get the other splint, and I was confused again since I was supposed to get 2 splints. I told her I needed both but I wanted my treatment! She started to say, unfortunately you can't have both, I only have 1 hour with you and the splint takes 25 minutes. I asked why don't you do my splint after my appointment? Or before? I came here for a treatment. The answer was your splint is part of your treatment. (Can you believe this??????) Imagine going to a restaurant and instead of paying for the food, you pay the hours of the chef and pay also for each ingredient he is using to make the food?..... also, why was I not informed of this? I would never EVER go to a place that does that. She kept saying that my next treatment would be the real one, to work on my hands.... So why am I paying for it when I'm not getting it???? I tried arguing but she kept saying the same thing. I did not want to be rude so I went home. I checked the same splint online that she did, with measurements and all and guess the price?..... $10 for each. I waited 2 weeks to hear back and nothing, they never scheduled another session. They billed me for $200, which basically they only gave me 2 splints. Now I'm even having trouble with the same splints.... This is ridiculous. I'm really disappointed. My hands are still in pain. I had NO therapy and had to pay for what I didn't get. I got no explanation for my treatment. I had other people with me when I'm supposed to get my therapy and NO transparency from this place. And honestly the only thing I could do is report this to the board of health because this is bad practice and is unethical!

When I first was recommended therapy by my PCP I was given no guidance at all as to where to go for OT. I happened upon Shepard Hand Therapy. And I'm glad I did. I had such stiffness and pain and inflammation when I first was seeing Kelley Shepard and Ashley for treatment. I've been able to regain strength and a range of motion I don't want to lose before surgery. I will be going back to them after my surgery as I trust Kelley to do the best job possible. I love the staff and the interns that flock to Kelley's clinic. Somehow, she is able to maintain a warm and caring environment that breeds an air of positivity. She has so many repeat patients and patients who recommend other patients to come to her and not one of her patients are unkind, uncaring, etc. there's an openness to this clinic and an innovative way that they handle treatment. The only thing I'd say is to update the address on Yelp! Because it's 49 Main Street now. And they don't work fridays but they're there late two nights a week. Hopefully I have no other issues with my body in the future but, if I do, Kelley is the first person I'm reaching out to. She has networked so well over the years and worked with so many doctors and alternative medicines in the area, she could recommend trustworthy healthcare professionals to help you with not just your hand. They also sometimes have snacks, which is lovely. Where else can you go to receive medical treatment and have snacks? Nowhere.
