I would give them a negative 100 if possible! I had called to get pricing for a succulent display. The woman I had talked to was rude and not helpful at all. She had an accent and would not repeat her name, as she had indicated I was told her name at the beginning of our conversation. When one is dealing with a long distance situation, in this case, a memorial, it would be expected that the business people one deals with, would be somewhat patient and understanding. Flowers were the only thing about my wedding I was not pleased with. I felt that I spent quite some time reviewing with Kim and Christie what I wanted. They kept missing it on the contracts. I called in a couple times to make the corrections but nothing got changed. The one thing I specified pretty extremely was I wanted the matrons of honors (2 of them) to be different than the bridesmaids (4 of them). I asked for different colored ribbon and it to be more white with some orange. I wanted tulips and lilies, my girls fav flowers. The bridesmaid to be more orange. Didn't happen, their flowers looked exactly alike, ribbons were the same and about half the lilies had pollen not removed at all. Poor workmanship. Kim and I discussed I wanted color in my bouquet, orange, not peach. The sample Juliette rose is a soft orange was beautiful. Kim firmly explained to me peach would clash with my girls flowers and the centerpieces and the flowers on the cake. So, I agreed more whites and different shades of oranges. On the wedding day, my bouquet was white and peach. What the f? They didn't even get the centerpieces right. They said the orchids were not cooperating and they had to make changes, well, thanks for not calling me and letting me know. I know part of the problem is we had some of the flowers supplied by a family friend, which, I asked them if there would be a significant savings and was told there would be. I told Kim from the beginning if it was only going to save me a couple hundred dollars, it didn't make sense and I'd get all my flowers with her but she said it'd be worth it. Well, it only saved me like $100. Exactly what I told her I didn't want. The service up until the wedding was pretty good and the flowers and centerpieces did look pretty, just not what I wanted so I gave them 3 stars originally. I called and let Christie know that I wasn't too happy, not asking for anything, just wanted an explanation of what happened. Didn't really get one. I thought Kim would call back but she never did. I guess since they got paid, they don't care about me anymore. Minus one star for that. So, 2 stars total. I'd only use her if you have common flower colors like pink or red. read more

Fleurs du Soleil was the single vendor I was most impressed with, on my wedding day. I am a terrible client. Probably their worst type of client. No, really. I had no bridal party, no wedding colors, and no favorite flowers. And somehow (with an extremely limited budget no less) I ended up with the absolutely, unquestionably, most amazing floral design for my wedding. And, well, people who know me would certainly describe me as "hard to please". From the very beginning, I was extremely frustrated with florists. No florist will even DISCUSS your wedding with you until you give them your budget. This is an incredible catch 22 (which, amazingly, they are all oblivious to) because you have no idea what to set your budget at without knowing ballpark figures of what things cost (i.e. bridal bouquet, boutonnieres, centerpieces, altar arrangements, aisle petals, etc.) Kim, Siobhan (whom I believe is no longer there) and Christie were A M A Z I N G. From the very beginning, when I told them I didn't really have any money to spend on floral, didn't really care what it looked like, etc... they were more than willing to work with me! I can't even imagine how they were able to design floral for my wedding for the price I came up with. But even more wonderful than that-- they were willing to go through iteration after iteration of my ideas, cost complaints, desires, and so on-- without being seeming the slightest bit annoyed and a new estimate was created for me after every whimsical change and re-specification. I gave them a budget, made my priorities clear (1. bridal bouquet, 2. boutonnieres, 3. centerpieces, 4. decor) and mentioned vaguely some colors and flowers I kind of liked... and I ended up with the most spectacular result that was SO much better than anything I could have dreamed of. Along the way, I kept questioning the cost of every little thing... and the truth is, it IS expensive, but YOU WILL BE HAPPY!! So, so, so happy. read more

From the time I sent my RFP in, it took over a month for Kim to get back to me to set a first phone appointment. That was already an indication of what type of service I was going to be getting, but being that it is summer wedding season, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and continued with the phone appointment and even set up a follow on in-person appointment a week later. I knew that Kim's prices were already going to be much higher compared to what I have researched, but I was impressed with her website compared to the other florists. To my disappointment, meeting her for our in-person appointment, it just confirmed that the quality of service that she was going to give me aligned with the unresponsiveness from the beginning. From our phone appointment, she provided estimates for a low and high end, she also set expectations with me that for the in-person appt. I should come with what I want for the order given the estimates she provided and be ready to contract and provide a deposit. During the meeting, I provided all the items I wanted with her estimates and asked for services fee and taxes to be provided. She refused to provide the service fees and tax information even though we had already gone through the entire floral order with her estimates. I reminded her that I thought we were supposed to contract and provide a deposit today for this meeting but I would need an estimate for the entire order with service fees and tax, but she insisted that can't provide that now and had to get back to me. If it already took her a month to get back to me initially, how long is it going for her to get back to me after this in-person meeting? Even during the meeting, she was too busy, unfocused with the appt., easily interrupted, even rudely asking us if we parked in some space in the parking lot when we were not parked in that parking lot at all. Her website may have fooled me at first, but it was a good lesson learned meeting her in person since it just confirmed the type of bad service I would be getting if she was the florist I hired for my wedding. read more

I've been looking for a florist for my wedding next summer. I contacted this florist to find out more information, and they suggested I come down to meet with them. However, there was a sudden change after I submitted my "proposal request" and they insisted that I make a phone appointment instead of coming down in person. The only thing I can contribute it to was the "estimated" budget portion of my proposal request being lower than they wanted. However, I'd be purchasing more than the average non-wedding customer, so I wonder why my business was no longer appreciated. Beats me, but I'm glad that I found out from the beginning that they were not a company that I'd like to go with. read more

One Saturday I was invited to a memorial service. The deceased had passed away quite suddenly and the daughter wanted to have the service as soon as possible. I needed some flowers right quick and Kim England was able to make me a very nice seasonal arrangement in about an hour. The price was a little bit more than I was hoping, however it was a lovely arrangement and the fact there were able to fit me in with two hours notice on a Saturday when they are not open definitely got them points in my book! read more

Words can not begin to describe how grateful I am for Kim England. The evening of my dearest friends wedding, her bouquet of flowers did not arrive (don't order from Etsy... lesson learned). The next morning (Saturday in October in Carmel, CA which is the most popular destination for a wedding), in an absolute panic, we as Siri to help us find the closest florist shop. We stumble upon Fleurs Du Soleil in Monterey, and while we are leaving a voice mail - Kim E. answers the phone. As she is literally loading up the van for another huge wedding happening later that day - Kim stops, and spends time running around the shop picking flowers that help match my friends original bouquet she had ordered, and nails it. Kim had also made the handle of the bouquet have an extra string of ribbon to tie on the brides deceased fathers wedding ring, which was so dear to the bride.
