Dr. Lisa Williams and her staff have been providing incredible care for our pets (dogs and cats) for many years now. We recently had to make the very difficult decision to put our 18 year old cat (Rex) to sleep, and it gave me a moment to reflect on the fantastic support that Fleur Pet Hospital provided over the years, especially as more medical care was needed later in his life. As animal guardians, when our pets our healthy, visits to the vet are straightforward. The staff here does a great job - ensuring clear communication with a caring approach - to ensure the routine visits are informative and efficient to minimize stress to our animals. When we boarded Rex over the years, he LOVED staying at the vet (he had a wonderful life at home too). The care and updates provided by staff reassured us that he was doing well, and he was always in the best of spirits when we came to pick him up. As pets age or medical issues appear, we rely on our vet and their staff to inform us and guide us on what the options are as we make often difficult decisions on treatment and care. Over the past few years as Rex started to experience medical challenges, Dr. Williams has consistently been excellent about explaining the conditions and challenges as well as working with us to outline options for plans of care and executing those plans. She works with us to evaluate how the options were working and if we needed to adjust. We always had a team looking out for Rex. Recently, when it became clear that Rex's quality of life required us to evaluate what was best for him, Dr. Williams provided the right balance of compassion and education to help lead us through that very difficult decision. I am truly grateful to them for providing Rex such excellent care and would trust them with any of our beloved family pets. read more

Dr. Williams properly identified, diagnosed & treated my cat to return him to the happy furball I forgot he could be! Although more expensive than I had anticipated, this was not a routine wellness exam with scheduled vaccinations, it was procedures requiring anesthesia. Dr. Williams was very thorough in her explanation of the procedures and the outcome of the procedures. She was transparent about the line items in the estimate, patiently answering ALL my questions. There is no doubt she cares very much for the welfare of the animals she treats. read more

This is my very first time owning a puppy so I was pretty nervous when picking which vet to go to. So I was very much relieved when I went to this particular vet because they were very kind to both me and my puppy!! They gave me useful information to help me become a better mom to my baby :). I plan to be with them a very long time!! 100% recommend read more

Staff is knowledgeable and kind. Top notch service and explanation of treatment for my dogs. Never pushy, gives all facts and recommendations. Treats my dogs as their own and tries to make them feel as comfortable as possible since they are both nervous when going to the vet. read more

TLDR: if you're worried this vet is overcharging, it's because THEY ARE. First of all I want to mention that the receptionists at this place are the sweetest and nicest people. The techs are also amazing. They have consistently told me better and cheaper ways to take care of my dogs and protect their health and I genuinely feel like the vet techs are looking out for the future and we'll being of my dogs. However--regarding the main veterinarian--I have been coming to her pet hospital since I got my dogs 9 months ago. They're elderly dogs that need a lot of care so they see the vet as often as I can afford. In that time I have never met this vet in person nor have I seen her interact with my dogs. Every time I've spoken to her it seems like the conversation was extremely rushed. This vet has a SERIOUS pattern of majorly overcharging. At first because I didn't know to look around for better prices and shop for cheaper services. I was paying easily $200-$300 every other month for veterinary care. I thought this was normal. I was under the impression the vet was doing this because the services were somehow better than I would receive elsewhere. However, once I took one of my dogs in for a general check up about a bump on his lip, they brought him out to me saying my dog was fine and couldn't find the bump. Mind you, my dog is a Pomeranian and extremely small. The bump was large and easy to find. They said they couldn't find it. They then proceeded to hand me a $900 bill to remove the bump they couldn't even see??? This bump has since faded away with no consequence to my dog. When I got my dog back and they said they couldn't find the bump, I picked him up and showed them it. They then said it was fine and normal and that's when they handed me the $900 bill. I had to ask them (the vet tech not the vet as I never saw the vet) if it was dangerous or cancerous or harmful in any way. They just said it was normal. I still don't know what happened or what it was called. Since then I have decided to switch vets. But I needed to take my dog in one last time for a check up on his thyroid. But at the time I couldn't afford it as I lost my job because my boss got Covid. They said they couldn't prescribe the medication for his thyroid until they had had a $150+ checkup. They gracefully gave me another months prescription and then I talked to the vet funding my dogs health who was getting frustrated with me. I asked if there was anything I could do like a payment plan to help me pay for this and she said to "Just get a credit card." Then I finally saw the other reviews on Yelp and Google. This is something that has happened multiple times with her, the overcharging and demanding that her clients get credit cards. She would pressure us to just make it happen, all in the name of my dog's health. At this point I decided to visit another vet hospital. I was overjoyed to see that the employees were peaceful and happy. I asked about their charges for services that would have cost $300 at my old vet and this new vet quoted me $150 for BOTH dogs and a total of 4 services. The first time I walked into this office, I met the vet. I saw her experience and the way she treated her employees and her relationship with clients. This was an entirely different situation. I realized the old vet was truly scamming me and her other clients. I highly recommend going to Starch Pet Hospital. My friend who I respect deeply takes all of her pets there and has for 2 generations of pet ownership. So do her other friends and her family. I'm happier now, but do feel strongly compelled to warn others about this old vet. read more

We have always had great experiences here, better than others I have visited in town. Our dog gets nervous going to the vet but has frequent UTIs and is in quite a bit but they love him and treat him like their own. His tail is wagging every time we leave (even when he does get shots). They always call to follow up on how he is doing. Our cat is a piece of work and they are always very compassionate with her even when she hisses at them the whole visit. Upfront with costs, very reasonable and talk through any rebates we may be entitled to. read more

Fleur Pet Hospital, I wish you would have lived up to these reviews. I had been taking my dog to them since she was a 4 month old puppy (she is two now). They were fine as far as just vaccinations, but do not count on them to be honest with you and not scam you or try to scam you out of thousands of dollars. In October of 2019 I took my dog in for her yearly vaccinations, they did the shots and tested for heart worms everything was fine. A week later we got a call that they had 3 positive test results that my dog had heart worms and was going to need treatment. We continued to trust them thinking that they had our dogs best interest at heart. We did the pre treatment medicine, but they didn't give us the right amount of the medication and said that they had done so and called us to check up when they had never done that. So we had to pay for another round of pre treatment medicine, which was not cheap nor did they own the mistake and apologize for the mistake and costing more money. 6 months now after the original diagnosis of her heart worms comes the day of treatment, when dropping her off the price when from $500 at the end of the day to $700 with extra things they felt the need to add. In the 6 month time frame from the initial seeing of my dog to February when it was time to treat her she gained 15 pounds, Fleur pet hospital tried to tell me that her weight gain was so unexpected. The price of the treatment was now to more than $3,000 dollars. They requested payment over the phone. When I was hesitant and skeptical regarding the amount jump they requested I get a credit card through them to be able to pay for her treatment. I am over Fleur pet hospital at this point, I made an appointment with another pet to have my dog seen the next day and receive the very toxic and possibly deadly heart worm treatment. Once that decision was made we learned about the lies that Fleur was telling us. My dog did not and does not have heart worms, they were whiling and eager to treat her when she did not need it. They had only tested her one time to receive the positive result, but told us they tested her 3 times and charged us for 2 tests. I went in to talk to Dr. Williams about this and what had happened, giving them a fair chance to explain this jaw dropping mistake. Not only did she have her receptionist tell me she was too busy as I could hear her tell her to tell me that she never even called. So if you love your pet take them anywhere else. I am not sure if they are just plain stupid or dis organized. Maybe its a little bit of both. The mistake they made was unforgivable. read more

They basically prey on your fear of losing your pet. They nickel & dime you to death. She charges 3x as much for her services than other places. She wanted to charge me 189.00 for lab work for bladder stones. My new vet charged me 33.00 and same exact lab. She told me my dog needed to be on special food for kidney failure. My new vet advised after blood work my dogs kidneys are fine & the special food is actually giving my dog high cholesterol. She will mentally and financially drain you. Really over priced read more

The staff here is so compassionate. As anyone who has a pet knows, vet care is quite expensive. They do a great job explaining what they can do, what they recommend and how much it will cost and let you make the decision of what care you authorize. They are competent from cradle to grave. Our 9 year old diabetic kitty got excellent care but sadly died while being boarded at the vet on SW 9th street. Our 19 year old kitty was made comfortable as she went through the final stages of ageing (liver, kidney and heart problems and finally a stroke or blood clot that left her unable to stand up). Once you have established care with Dr. Lisa Williams she will even come to your house to help your pet pass-on peacefully. Our new puppy, Chewy, is just 5 months old and I feel confident that we will get top notch care for her from all of the staff at Fleur Pet Hospital. This is the third vet that we have tried in the Metro area and we are glad we kept looking until we found them. Thank you Dr. Williams and your entire team. Your love of animals shows in everything you do. read more

Very friendly staff and showed a genuine concern for my dog. Follow up calls and everything after having been treated. Highly Recommended!

What an experience! It is obvious the staff here all love what they do. The receptionist greeted my pup by his name, showed lots of love to him. The tech listened to My concerns and dr Lisa was just awesome. So caring and it shows. I really appreciated the up front price estimate before anything is done. Fleur Pet Hospital is the only vet my fur babies will be seeing! Highly recommend. read more

I took my dog to the groomer at the pet hospital. Although the staff is very friendly and welcoming, I must say that my dog's haircut was TERRIBLE. My five-year-old cousin could've done a better job than the "professional" at the pet hospital. His cut was a mess; he had patches of skin exposed all of his body, and his beard was completely lopsided. Yes, my dog may not be the biggest fan of getting groomed, but even he was depressed after having to live with his awful haircut. He looked rabid. read more

The veterinarian is nice, but you only see her for about 3-4 minutes. Her assistant, however, is is cold and downright rude. She is the one that you have to deal with, and it is unpleasant. My cat likes everyone, but he did not like her. If you want to be treated with dignity and respect, don't go here. read more

Maggie the kitty senior citizen and I went to Fleur Animal Hospital for the first time. It was very clean, very timely and the staff was wonderful for me and they were so sweet to Maggie. They talked to her, petted her, gave her treats at the end and explained every step to me. We have found a new doctor for Maggie and after moving 7 times through, college, grad school, an apartment and buying a house, she was best treated at FAH. read more
