I'm so grateful that Yelp led us here! This deli is located inside of BonTemps gas station right off of Hwy20 and is definitely NOT your average gas station food! They have a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, wrap & po'boys to choose from along with sides. They also have a counter with some house made ready to go food. I even saw a big pot of gumbo. I got a TURKEY BLT with no cheese. It comes on a fresh jalapeño cheddar bread that was not spicy - just very good. The turkey was shaved turkey with a healthy topping of bacon & lettuce. The BLT spread seems like a mayo spread with chopped bacon, tomato, & herbs. It was really light and good. My husband loved his SHRIMP PO BOY. He said the breading on the shrimp was delicious & bread was good. Our only regret was not getting fries or onion rings to try. There are several tables to eat i side and a couple right out front. There appeared to be several locals coming in to pick up food while I was waiting about 10-15 minutes for our food. I would highly recommend stopping here to eat vs your average gas station or fast food. read more

In town for a week and decided to try this place next door to my hotel due to the Yelp reviews. Kitchen is inside the Valero which I was hesitant to try but didn't want to drive anywhere. I ordered the Great American Burger on the Jalapeño Cheese Bread. I have to say that this burger was really tasty. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a pic. Will definitely go back. Not sure if we will ever go back. The girl taking our order was very soft spoken we could barely make out what she was saying. A young man from the register came by and answered our questions but he didn't know all the answers to simple questions about the menu. We got the receipt went to pay and noticed that they charged us $2.78 for a tea. We asked about this because we both ordered the combo. He told us that drinks were extra. That only the burger and fries were on the combo. They also charged us different prices for the same combo. In all it came out to almost $27 for our order. We told them to forget about it and walked out. We heard the food was good but for the lousy service and expensive price it wasn't worth it to us. read more

This place is heaven in Minden. Never had a bad meal. Only place that I will get gumbo in North Louisiana. Their French bread is amazing and burgers on Monday are the best priced you will get for the size of the burgers! read more

The Cajun shrimp wrap was delicious and the staff were super friendly. Even joked around with our son. The Cajun fries were good. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants in Dallas and this was yummy. May be in a gas station but I'd make that a regular stop on our way to and from Destin. read more

I am not one to eat at gas stations, but when we stopped for gas, The Hubster and I were starving... we had already been on the road for 5 hours... and were pulled in by the delicious smell when we walked in. The menu that is posted here is slightly different from their current menu, but many of the items were the same. I chose the Double Porker. It had pulled pork and sausage, pickles and yummy BBQ sauce. The bread was so tender and yummy and this was one of the best sandwiches I have eaten. The Hubster chose the E's Bacon Burger. It was served on a jalapeno bun with secret sauce... HOLY MOLY! It was freakin' delicious!!! If you have to stop for gas, go here and then head inside for some of the best burgers this side of the Mississippi!! read more

I was so impressed by this place. The sign outside on the building says Bon Temps, so it may have changed names, but I will definitely go back! We were in Minden for an appointment and decided to eat supper there before driving home. I saw this place reviewed on Yelp, so we decided to try it. As we were trying to decide what to order, the girl who was taking our order was extremely helpful. She recommended the chicken wrap (you can get fried or grilled chicken in it) and when she told us how big it is, my daughter and I decided to split the wrap and get Cajun fries (which she also recommended). Oh my word! The wrap and fries were both delicious!! We had a huge amount of food, and both enjoyed it tremendously. We plan to go back next time we are in Minden! read more

For a gas station burger, this place is easily 5 star. We came in for a drink and snack on road trip. Taking the advice of the cashier, we opted for a burger and fries instead of a quick snack. First timers get $5 burgers. We ate Mr. E's burger. The bread was delicious. The meat and toppings were good and fresh. No skimping on the meat. I came here looking for some late night dinner. I ordered a burger with some fries to go. The burger patty itself is pretty thick and I think hand made fresh. It tasted like it anyways. The bun tasted sweet and I don't remember what exactly it was but it was tasty just not my style of bun for a burger. The ingredients were all fresh and well proportioned. As other reviewers mentioned, this is inside a nice Valero station. The hamburger was indeed very good, especially on the jalapeño-cheese bun! My husband had the gumbo and boudin, and enjoyed them very much. The kids' grilled cheese were pretty standard, but with getting to pick among 6 flavors of Icees, they were fine.... As first-time customers, they gave us $5 discounts on both adult meals, which was really great. Friendly folks who did well with our toddler & preschooler.
