Got married there this past Saturday. We couldn't have asked for more from the venue. The cost was comparable to similar venues from which we got quotes. We had been to a wedding expo there, and there was something about Fleur de Lis that we kept going back to it during our conversations. Every step of the way, the staff was courteous and thoughtful and it was clear that weddings are their business and they know what they are doing. The venue was beautiful, all our expectations were exceeded. We did not eat from the buffet, but our guests had very positive things to say. We had a personal assistant who got us everywhere we needed to be with as little stress as possible. If I had a complaint, it would be that 3 1/2 hours was simply not enough time. I felt as though, by the time we finished all the wedding tasks, the reception was wrapping up. The courtyard was nice and made for good pictures, but could have used more shade for a daytime wedding. The staff packed our car for us and even sent us home with plenty of leftovers. read more

The Fleur De Lis Event Center in Mandeville, LA, was the most beautiful and gorgeous venue center I have ever been to. They truly made my daughters wedding a dream come true. This event center truly does all the work for you, above and beyond any expectations you have. They provided everything from table toppers, DJ, open bar, decorations and food. The food was great the atmosphere was wonderful. The owner Mr. Chad was so nice and welcoming. Ms. Kendra( Lead Wedding Coordinator) was so helpful and nice and put up with my daughter 1,000 phone calls and question. Ms. Heather and Ms. Annelise were angels from heaven. It was so wonderful to have these two young ladies guiding us through our wedding day event. They were so caring and took care of all our needs. Held a 60th Anniversary party for my parents at the private restaurant of the Fleur de Lis Event Center. And it was amazing. It is so tastefully decorated we really only added a few personal touches, which just made everything so easy and took the stress off of us. The food was delicious. And the event coordinator, Ms. Becky, was just fantastic. She made everything run so smoothly and took care of my parents from start to finish. She made them (and us) feel so special and made sure we all left with some of the left over food and packaged up the extra cake for us. Where do we even begin?! First a pandemic then tropical storm! Our wedding was previously scheduled at fleur de lis event center for July 2020. We decided to postpone to June 2021. Mr. Chad and his team were so supportive and accommodating, no questions asked and we were able to reschedule. I am so glad we decided to postpone, because our wedding was everything we had ever dreamed of. Kendra was a rockstar! She was on top of every single detail the whole day, she has a ton of experience and it shows! She made sure everything went off without a hitch! We didn't have to worry about anything but showing up. Last minute they quickly changed the ceremony to outside because the weather cleared up! We were so impressed with how quickly they got it done! I had my wedding here yesterday, and it was nothin short of perfect and amazing! This is a beautiful place, and they offer a full package for a decent price. As it got closer to the day, I had a million questions and wanted to figure out a million different little things. The bridal Coordinator worked endlessly in the days leading up to the wedding and at the wedding to make sure that we did not have to worry about anything, and she answered every question, dealt with every detail, and did not brush off any request. The owner takes great pride in his business space and model, and works hard to ensure that they provide a magical experience for the couple. We had a wonderful time at our daughter's reception at FDL . The facility was nice and the food was great but the best part was the bridal team and staff. Everyone was professional and did their jobs well. Everything was organized well and executed in a manner that flowed well. All of our questions and any needs that arose were promptly addressed. This venue was recommended to me by a friend from high school. She raved about the good food, great communication beforehand, and attention to detail. I'm not a totally picky person, but I can get pretty anxious about wanting to control everything and "run the show." From the beginning, Chad and the event center staff were very communicative in the process of quotes, contracts, and booking. We were able to have a wonderful wedding at a completely reasonable price, which is nearly impossible in the area. All-inclusive is the way to go! Did not have to worry about a thing. The only extras we had to pay for were cake, photographer, flowers, and smaller things that we wanted like guestbook. The day-of wedding staff was AMAZING. I do not give compliments lightly. I grew up in theatre and they were like the most perfect stage managers any cast or director could ask for. I did not have to worry about a THING. Even the things that I forgot, I just asked if they could do (like I decided not to change for my send-off because I was having too much fun), and they did it with the most efficiency and grace. I cannot say enough good things about them for day-of coordination. Planning a wedding was still stressful (obviously), but there were so few things I had to worry about before because of their comprehensive bridal packet. During, I literally felt like my most trusted companions were taking care of everything with the same care I would give. The food was incredible. Guests were raving about the food and drinks. We requested steak and different sides, and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals of my life. Then, they packed up the leftovers for us and we got to enjoy them all over again the next day! The owner has Disney event training, and it truly shows. They have weddings down to a formula without everyone feeling like they followed a formula. Our wedding felt unique and our own. Been here in 2 occasions. Prom, Brothers Wedding. Prom was alright, nothing special. It was too small for the event I believe and food was awful. At my brothers wedding I did not agree with the the booking of this place to begin with but he said it was budget friendly. While at the wedding I arrived early to help my brother and niece. I watched as they set up and during the event. The rehearsal was a joke and no one knew what was going on. The speakers were above the event on a balcony so the music was distorted and not heard well. The bride and party is made to walk down a "fire escape" in the back and stand in the parking lot before going into the courtyard. The coordinator was very rude and especially hard on the kids, which I did not like. For the courtyard wedding the bricks are uneven, very easy to fall. And the whole set up was off to me. For the reception all the guest did not know were to go, and then were escorted through the WRONG door - making the sign in book on the other side, so no one saw it. Then for the bride and groom meal the lady basically sat with them the entire time. My brother said it was really awkward. When I went to go tell the DJ something about an announcement from the groom, a lady popped up and told me never to do that again and treated me like I was 12. Then the cake was way over in the corner so no one saw that either. Plus the lighting and ambiance is more of a club, nothing like a elegant wedding. read more

Do not use the Fleur De Lis Event Center for your wedding. The jerk owner, and that's being polite, threatened to kick me out of my own brother's wedding because his staff of teenagers screwed up & I got upset! Here's everything else that they screwed up: 1. Changed the chairs in the room after contract was signed. 2. Told no access to stairs for photos after owner said they could even if there was another event. 3. Place was not ready when we arrived - still trash from the night before. 4. Bathrooms were dirty, no soap in men's room. 5. Bride's suite was hot - no air circulation at all - floor was dirty. 6. Staff did not inform wedding party, families, or photographer of timeline for dances. 7. Could not hear announcements from dj outside or in dinning area. 8. Senior staff member was very rude to family member & accused her of cursing at employees. 9. Bartender threatened to cut Groom off if he was too intoxicated to hold his glass after someone knocked his glass out of his hand. 10. There was supposed to be limo for the Bride & Groom, but they got a town car instead. 11. Bartenders would not serve Groomsmen before the wedding. Groom's suite was not set up when they arrived like it should've been. 12. Two weddings - no signs directing guests. Several guest went to wrong wedding. 13. You could hear the music from the other reception through the wall while the ceremony was taking place. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. If you have to, get everything in writing - keep a copy & use a recorder when meeting with them in person. ----------------------------------- In response to Chad's reply - I did not curse or yell at his staff. I did raise my voice after he caught an attitude with me because I told his staff they were going to get slammed on Facebook after this. I'm not sure how professional I was supposed to be since I was attending my brother's wedding, not working for him. All of the items listed are true and they really happened. I compiled my list from what I saw first hand and after talking with other family members & members of the bridal party. There is no reason for me to make all this up. What first caught my attention about FDL event center was that starry ceiling! How can you not love it! After a tour and a meeting with Chad we were sold! We knew we had to have our wedding here and we knew it was going to be spectacular. But it was even more than that! Chad, Kendra, and the staff were amazing! Took care of everything before I could even remember that it needed to be done. They were one step ahead the entire time and made absolutely sure that my husband and I had the most incredible day! Amazing!!! We sent Chad and the staff the following letter when we returned from our honeymoon...so thankful! November 6, 2017 To Chad Bordelon, Kendra Cutrer, and staff at Fleur De Lis Center: We just returned from our honeymoon at DisneyWorld and had an amazing time, but not as amazing as the time we had at our wedding. Since the time we left the event center, I have been saying that I have to write a love letter to all of you because I don't think there has ever been a time that I felt so special, and I know my husband feels the same way. After a year and a half of planning, stress, and excitement, we showed up on our wedding day nervous and hoping everything would go well. I know that you all do this for a living and sometimes have more than one event in a day, but we felt as if we were the most important to you on our day. On top of that, we are most appreciative that you made our guests feel that way. I'm not sure where to start... from the personal greetings, the timeline, the friendliness to our vendors, the help in the bridal suite, the food, the personal attention to the parents....words cannot express. I apologize because I do not remember the name of the young lady that helped me out during the reception, but she followed me around with a heavy and very important item (my makeup bag ) throughout the night so that I could reapply my lip gloss. Every time I asked for it, she was so polite that I wanted to have her sit down and join me for a drink! Mrs. Kendra, a personal thank you to you also, for helping me through the planning by always answering my e-mails promptly and especially for saying yes every time I asked if I could add or change something to the ceremony or reception! You are truly good at what you do and made the entire wedding party feel comfortable during the rehearsal and the ceremony. You were also there throughout the night making sure everything went smoothly and we appreciate you so much! We thought we had a zipper and belt crisis in the bridal suite, but you and your staff fixed both of them right away. To Mr. Chad, we have received several compliments on the words spoken during the ceremony. You also made us feel more comfortable as we stood there and said our vows in front of everyone. Absolutely amazing! Everything was perfect; food was delicious, staff was organized, venue was gorgeous, and all the servers catered to our every want. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Kendra was so incredibly helpful with the planning and day of, she's amazing at her job and truly went above and beyond to make my day perfect. Chad was outstanding throughout the whole process.
