Typical lying, shady mechanics. They damaged not one but TWO brand new steering pumps while installing them in my Dodge. The owner tried telling me both pumps I provided were bad pumps instead of admitting they damaged both of them. I now still have a broken power steering pump after going to their shop a second time and they still didn't fix the issue. They also installed a rack and pinion incorrectly, and if my fiancé hadn't looked under the car and noticed then that brand new part would of been destroyed and needed replaced. The owner admitted to that not being installed incorrectly but then tried to tell me it wasn't a big deal.

You are always happy with a business, until you're not. Have…read morehad a couple repairs here without issue. Then, when something goes wrong, they are not so quick to service you. A/C went out last summer, late. Top notch got me cool to the tune $300.+. Early this summer, as you know we had a heat wave. A/c wouldn't work. Living over an hour from repair, it is not always easy with work schedule to accommodate a trip to Omak. (they do not want to make an appointment) Went in, an hour later, back on the road with a service charge, and all was well again. Now to the crux of the review...Three days later on the way to Spokane, it only got kinda cool. Two days after that on the way to Wenatchee, no a/c. Turned around, went to Top Notch, expecting the service I have had prior. Wait in line, hours, before it can be assessed. Been there done that and it isn't fixed! Absolutely wouldn't even look to see if it was another quick fix. Where were we supposed to wait, two hours, in 101 degree heat? We were on our way to a destination. We were a customer that already paid, and the fix didn't work...get out here and look at it! I guess they will make warrantying their work difficult enough you just leave, which was done. It needed coolant, we both knew it, and knew it would take ten minutes to get us on our way. He wasn't hearing it. Go wait in line. Nope, you have to be friendly and helpful even if it meant not making any money cause you were refixing the problem.

While we don't handle major body repairs or tire services, our skilled technicians are here to keep your vehicle running smoothly. Labor rate: $125/hour. Closed from 12-1 for lunch.

Visiting from Seattle and had just had our car serviced by our neighborhood mechanic. Noticed a…read morestrong burning smell coming from our car and was worried a break down would derail our much overdue weekend away...I called as soon as they opened at 9am and they said to bring our car in. Kyle came out right away, listened to my concerns and my (very innacurrate) guess about what was wrong. We were invited into their office, a quick diagnosis was made and a simple fix was done--our local mechanic hadn't fully tightened the oil filter which led to a small oil leak and the burning smell. Kyle even came in to talk with us and helped entertain our kids (both under age 4) while they finished up the repair and we were back on the road in under 30 minutes. Very thankful for their help!

My car broke down on Highway 20 heading home from camping. I called a few repair shops in the…read morevalley and was referred to North Star Automotive Repair. They gave me the name of a reputable towing company and said I could have my vehicle towed to their shop even though they were booked with appointments through the end of the month. Shan came and picked me up in the next town over, Twisp, and even helped me find a fairly inexpensive hotel room for the night until someone could come pick me up the next day. Even though they were extremely busy they said they would try to take a look at it in the next few days. I was expecting to wait a week or more before hearing anything, but I received a call the following day letting me know they had taken a look at my Volkswagen and determined the heater core had failed. The folks at North Star were able to bypass the system and get it running that day! I can't begin to express how much I appreciate all the help and care they provided. If I lived in the Okanagan valley this would definitely be my go to repair shop. Thanks for everything!
