Day's Ace deserves the best review I can ever write…read more It's hard for me to accurately capture a more positive business than the people behind the scenes: all of the many employees in getting valuable components for the home and even the work environment; in the truly beginnings, the store was located in close quarters to the Flagship Kroger grocery store, located at Carroll Blvd., and usually the friendly staff tended to a feline, who roamed around the store. It's since moved to the other extreme end of the large parking lot, near the Denton Movie Tavern; the friendliness must have been "Baked in," because going to Day's Ace is like going back into the good old days, when physical problems around the home could easily be resolved by making a quick run to Denton Center. LOVE LOVE LOVE Haliburton Salvage…read more This is one of our favorite places to go to find fabulous high end unique New Windows, New Doors, Architecture Salvage, construction materials/building materials etc., We have purchased so many things over the last few years for all 3 of our cottages. We purchased a New very large Window for the dining room/sitting room area of cottage #1 here. It lets in just the right amount of light & is perfect for sittin a chair next to it to read & view the Gorgeous rolling hills of North Texas wine country. Fabulous. We also purchased a New craftsman style Anderson solid OAK inside, aluminum outside window for the guest room of cottage #1 that is stunningly beautiful. My absolute favorite window I purchased here is the speciality giant 48x72 Horizontal sliding (side to side) "cottage style window" that was installed in the master suite of Cottage #1 (in front of the clawfoot tub) so you can view the sunset over rolling hills of the North Texas wine country from the bath in the evening. Just lovely. We even installed solid wood Horizontal sliding (side to side) "shutters" inside to close off the "cottage style window" for privacy. I custom made those. I also purchased 4 sets of 14 light French doors that went into cottage #1, 2 in cottage #2 and 4th set will go into cottage #3 we are just breaking ground on, so they will all match. We have found so many building materials here also that we have used. It's good to keep checking as inventory comes in all the time. If you are looking for a certain size window or door, you can call them to check to see they have it in stock. They also have a 2nd location, you can ask them to check that location as well if you do not mind driving there to pick it up. We custom build. And this is our #1 place we enjoy going. Highly highly recommend.

For example,one that stands out was my need for certain types of wood boring drill bits. I purchased a set that ended up so dull they wouldn't cut through wet cardboard. However,that didn't discourage me from using them as a valuable resource. Recently I was taking down a new pool filter that I'd never cleaned before. The drain was a large 4" PVC cap that I had nothing in the tool box that would open it . Initially I headed for Home Depot when it occured to me,Harbor Freight may have a more cost effective solution. Bingo! Not only did the " oil filter" wrench for $9.99 do the trick but,it was invaluable when I reassembled the filter housing and needed a certain leverage on the clamp. This gives me confidence that if you shop smart with an idea of the outcome you need, Harbor Freight is likely to have a low priced solution.

When we call them up, they refuse to do anything about it because 90 days has been past. I wouldn't buy any generator or anything valuable from Harbor Freight ever again. Their product is not high quality and broken down only after 4 months. Expect to be ignored after 90 days or your warranty has been expired and you left alone with an expensive piece of junk.
