I don't even know where to begin? Owner is a narcissist who thinks he is always right and a victim of circumstance. I took my receiver there to get repaired and didn't do my due diligence about repair costs. He kept it for over 3 weeks to fix and promised me initially he would call me during the process to keep me up to speed (never happened once). Bill comes in the amount of 185.00 for a 200.00 receiver brand new. Ok I can swallow that... After I take the unit home it blows right up after installing it and the owner wants another 175.00 to look at potential problems? Thanks but no thanks! NEVER EVER USE FLEMINGTON ELECTRONICS!! They ripped me off for a TV bulb that costs $99.00. They charged me $567 to install a light bulb in the TV!! I agreed to pay them $353. My experience with them was horrible. I brought a receiver in for repair. Their original two week estimate turned into 3 months. They initially claimed to be very familiar with my particular unit, and said they had seen this same problem before. This story changed drastically after I had made payment, and experienced repeated failures. I had to bring the unit back twice after the initial repair attempt, with the same recurring problem. They actually had the nerve to charge for additional parts the third time around, even though their first two attempts had failed, and the unit was still under their so called "service warranty". I finally got my unit back with additional damage that it did not have when I brought it in. Of course, they denied causing the damage, and tried to suggest that I was responsible for it in some way. Requests for a refund were flatly refused. Over $200 down the drain, and my unit still does not work properly. There are other competent and reputable shops in the area - I suggest using one of them.... read more

Most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. After months of waiting and calling, they were not able to fix my TV, then would not refund my money due to "non-refundable" charges. Ended up only getting some of the payment back. I have never seen business run as poorly as this. After all is said and done they ask me if they could stop by to pick up the remote to my broken TV, after they "aren't sure if they can fix it." So you be the judge. I have no idea if these guys, well just really Steve, can fix anything. It's a long story that started when I suffered a lightening strike that zapped my electronics, 70 inch Sharp TV, $2400 Onkyo receiver, LG Blue Ray player that had a built in hard drive to store music, movies and photographs and my Directv DVR. Insurance wanted an estimate on feasibility of repairs for each item. Steve came fairly quickly, charged $525, $100 for house call, $100 for each item to be assessed, plus tax. He never even touched the Directv box, just said he doesn't work on them, still charged the $100 none the less. He took the Blue Ray player with him and did some turning on and connecting the remaining items to diagnose issues. A few days later we received the email estimate. All good with this part. We chose to have the Onkyo item fixed by the only authorized repair place for that item as well as the TV,so those items were off the table. Now here is where it gets funky bad. While trying to deal with the insurance we informed Steve that we had to wait. When we received approval to go forward with repairs the saga of getting parts became unbearable. Steve NEVER returns a phone call. When we called about the BlueRay he kept asking about the TV. I asked about the Blue Ray, he asks about the TV. I was endlessly told the parts were on back order and it was essentially my fault, he was able to get them when this all first started but we took too long. Each week a phone call, back order, no call back. Miraculously 2 months later I was finally told the parts were in! I was also told it might take a week to repair since they were busy with a big installation but would call when to come pick it up. 2 weeks later I called again and Steve told me the parts never came in and so I blew up on the phone. He actually got snotty with me for being upset. After all he's overwhelmed with his business, short handed and it's not his fault. I then went back to the insurance who then told me they would just give me a replacement. I still wanted my broken unit so I called and told Flemington Electronics I would be in the next day to pick it up...when I arrived at noon Steve seemed shocked to see me. My unit was not put together and he told me the parts might actually be shipping today. Not holding my breath. I finally got the Blue Ray in one piece but God knows what's inside. Unreal! read more

While these guys are obviously competent, they are GROSSLY overpriced and take every opportunity to try to sell you something, even if you tell them you don't need or want it. I had a $70 DVD player go bad and ended up paying them nearly $300 for the player, installation, etc. They tried to charge me another $50 "house call" fee but waived it when I refused. My advice--be sure you shop around and compare prices before you use them, question their service charges carefully, and be very specific about what you DON'T want. read more

They did a wonderful job on working on my vintage Technics receiver. The unit was having some issues and rather than toss the unit I brought it to them. They were very upfront on what the charges were and would check out the unit and let me know what was needed. They repaired the unit and I am very happy with the results. I would definitely check them out if you have a vintage receiver or for that matter anything in electronics. I am a satisfied customer. read more

Flemington Electronics- Steve Scalza-Chief Tech Specialist/President August 13, 2014 I initiated a relationship in the Fall of 2013 with F/E and Steve to replace my aging 2nd Floor roof top TV antenna and improve my HDTV reception. At this juncture, I can honestly say, and seriously advise potential customers, that it was one of our worst experiences working with a local business. FE came highly recommended through another antenna service. I trusted that referral and "Shame on Us", I did not conduct a due diligence of their past work and service. From the beginning, after paying upfront for the proposal, materials and in Good Faith trusting Steve's recommendations, it became apparent he was somehow figuring out our roof -top installation, connectivity and TV reception results as he was going along. I provided assistance to Steve in the antenna installation, with labor, extension ladder, lights and tools. The process took about 3 months, because of the bad winter weather, and we understood that fact. Now we are reminded daily of just how poor the installation, service and the current reception is compared to our old antenna hookup. When it became apparent that reception was a serious issue, Steve suggested I, the customer, go to a website to learn about our local digital reception and stations, I assume he had not done this beforehand. In my last conversation with Steve he "suggested modifications" to possibly improve service and those charges would be billed to me, hourly. The only aspect of Steve's service that is "fairly consistent"; He may potentially bill you for everything, even for modifications and advice to make his own troubleshooting and installation work properly. My experiences of FE and Steve will be the missed phone calls, late and cancelled appointments, lack of follow through, failure to bring tools with him on occasion, getting lost on his "3rd visit to our home", excessive pricing and now distorted inconsistent TV reception. I enjoy making referrals to support local businesses and will continue to do so, however in this case, Consumers; PLEASE conduct a thorough review of FE before conducting antenna install business with them.
