Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and you can tell there's real thought put into the food and presentation. We ended up staying for well over two hours just enjoying the whole experience -- the vibes, the music, the drinks, and the overall atmosphere were just so good. It felt cozy, lively, and welcoming all at the same time. The drinks were beautifully made and paired perfectly with the food, and the staff and crowd made the space feel fun and relaxed. It's one of those places you randomly find and then immediately want to gatekeep (but also tell everyone about). Truly such a great experience from start to finish. Can't wait to go back!

The ambiance is about half of what this place is all about. It's very Trader Sam's, including a lot of neat Disney memorabilia on the shelves on the walls behind the bar. Dark and stormy tiki bar vibes. The service was super friendly, and the food and bev came out very timely. The drinks were great, and they had a really nice mocktail menu. You can come and enjoy a nice drink without getting alcohol. We also ordered a burger from their limited food menu. It was very good. Not in competition for best burger in Orlando or anything, but the flavors were on point, and bun was nice and soft, and the furikake dusted crinkle cut fries were the perfect side item. Overall, this place was very cool, and if you haven't come here yet, you need to.

Usually something small, with a good flavor, and somewhat sweet. Acid's, Tatiana, and my personal favorite Al Capone cognac dipped sweets have never let me down. I recently found Tabak Maduro Belicoso and Maduro Cuadrado, and Deadwood's Sweet Jane and Fat Bottom Betty, which I enjoy when I plan to stay for a while. The last couple of times I've stopped in Erica has been our server and she is great. I know if Erica is working, we are in good hands. All of the staff have been helpful in helping me find the right cigar and provide the hookup when I need a light. Although drink specials are rare, they do offer a half price discount on your second double if you purchase a double. Definitely plan to stay a while if you do that deal. There is a large selection of whiskey, scotch, and bourbon available, and they do have hand-crafted signature cocktails to choose from. Cigar and drink prices rage from average to breaking the bank. If you want to spend $75+ on a fancy cigar or $15,000 on the Ron Bacardi Superior you can do it here, and that's up to you, but I will stick to my $8-$10 cigars and $14 double Crown Royals. The ventilation system here is very good, and I like that you can just wander around with a lit cigar and a rocks glass full of whiskey while you shop. For the non-smoker who is pulled along to the stinky cigar bar, note that there is an outside seating area; regardless, it is near impossible to escape the smell or smoke when it's just not your thing. Also note that after leaving, plan on stripping your clothes at the door when you get home, cause mama ain't gonna have none of that stank in the house, lol! All-in-all, this is a great place to meet with friends, enjoy a great cigar, and fine drink. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area.

This place is seriously impressive... the humidor feels like walking through a cigar-themed grocery store. So many brands, sizes, and blends that it actually made choosing kind of tough... in a good way. It was definitely busy when we arrived, and finding a spot for our group wasn't easy at first. Luckily, our waitress took good care of us, and we managed to settle in for some cocktails and quality conversation with a few Brothers. The energy inside was lively but not overwhelming... just a steady, friendly roar of folks enjoying themselves. Everyone we met was cool, the drinks were well-made, and the vibe was relaxed even with the crowd. We would've loved to sit outside, but Florida had other plans with the rain. Still, the inside lounge was a great backup, and I'd definitely come back... especially when the weather cools down and the patio's in play.

She explained everything to us, which was good, because they don't have a website. The owners are from NY, which surprised me, because the place has a Miami Latin Vibe. I love that and it's something different in Sanford. They have different things going on different days: Sunday is brunch with regular and breakfast pizzas. Monday- Tuesdays they are closed. Wednesdays they have Wine Down Wednesdays. Thursday is R & B night. Friday and Saturday are their busiest nights with a DJ. They do take reservations for their VIP areas lounge areas outside for a fee. They are hoping to get the outside area covered. Ok let's talk about their pizza... I was expecting more NY Style, but this was a small scale kind of NY style pizza. They offer 12" pizza which was great for sharing for 2 people. Hubby and I had the meatball ricotta pizza. It was very good! We also had their handmade drinks. I had a passion fruit mojito and hubby had an old fashioned. They were both very tasty. I should mention they stay open till 2pm. That almost seems rare these days. So enjoy!

I've lived in Sanford for 17 years, and while I've only made a handful of trips to Rockin'…read moreRhonda's, each visit has left a lasting impression. Most of my time here has been spent meeting up with riding buddies heading to or from a charity motorcycle run, or supporting local bands. Our most recent visit was this past Saturday to catch our friends' band, Night Wind, play. Unfortunately, the turnout was smaller than expected, likely due to the 11th Annual Mardi Gras celebration happening downtown. We started at the festival, then made our way to Rhonda's to enjoy the band before heading back downtown to wrap up the night. Rockin' Rhonda's is a classic dive bar and a popular pit stop for bikers--this might deter some newcomers, but if you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a drink and a bite. The drink prices are some of the best in town. Well drinks are only $4, and if you order two of the same drink, it's just $6. You really can't beat that price, especially downtown. I usually ask for a double in a 16oz glass, so I don't have to juggle drinks all night. They also offer $12 domestic beer buckets, which are a great deal, and on Saturdays, they discount top-shelf liquors by $2 when you order a double. Food-wise, they have a decent selection of bar-food and it's affordable. A cheese pizza is $10, and only $2 more for a pepperoni version. If you're in the mood for something different, you can grab two corndogs for $6, mozzarella sticks for $5, a cheeseburger or hot dog for $4, or even taquitos for $4. For a casual bite, it's a great deal. If you plan to hang out for a while, there are several high-top tables available for dining. The staff here are friendly, and the place is generally clean and well-kept--inside and outside. If you're looking for something to do, there's no shortage of entertainment. They have several arcade games, two pool tables, multiple dartboards, and JENGA to keep you busy. If you're a bit tight on cash, there's an ATM right inside the main gaming area. When you step outside from the back of the bar, you'll find a cozy seating area next to a clean pond and fountain. Beyond that, there's a large, covered outdoor bar/patio area with more high-top tables facing the stage where our friends played. There's even another outdoor bar and service area to the left of the stage. The outdoor space can accommodate over 60 people (mostly standing) if the crowd is right, making it a great place to hang out on a busy night. We had a fantastic time at Rhonda's, and I'm grateful they provided the space for our friends to perform. The drinks were fantastic, and I appreciate that they pour the old-school way (free-pour), which is a nice touch. Three things to keep in mind: (1) Smoking is allowed inside, so if you're planning to dine-in, you may want to enjoy your meal outside under the covered patio; (2) the parking area and the space between the patio and stage are mostly dirt and sand, so it could be dusty/slippery/or muddy depending on the weather during your visit; and (3) The venue does not providing in-house lighting and sound for the stage, so if your planning on landing a gig here you will need to bring all of this equipment and manage your sound/lighting needs during the show. Overall, Rockin' Rhonda's is a laid-back, local gem that's definitely worth checking out if you're in the Sanford area.

There is a pool table, pinball machines, an old 80's style arcade game, darts, and a dart board. The music was at a great level, although a little pricey to play music, 10 credits for $5.00. It seemed like everyone knew each other there. If I ever go back to Sanford (which is doubtful) I would go here again.

We have some favorite staff there including the always present and hardworking manager, Morse. Kaitlyn is also a fav of ours. Even when she's not our server she always comes over to say hi. The hostess, Tamia, was in the process of cleaning it but still took a moment to acknowledge us and let us know she would be right with us, which I appreciated. While we waited, more parties came in and the line quickly grew toward the door. There were other staff members nearby, but no one stepped in to help seat guests or manage the wait, which made things move slower than expected. Once we were seated, it took a while for our waiter to come to the table. The hostess actually came back to check on us and ask if we had been helped yet, which stood out. When our waiter did arrive, the first thing he mentioned was that last call would be soon since they close at 10. We had arrived around 9, so we went ahead and ordered both drinks and food at the same time. Service throughout the meal was slow. We ordered the trio for the table, and I got the puffy tacos, one beef and one chicken, with black beans and rice. My son ordered a chicken quesadilla, and another person in our party ordered street corn, birria tacos, and a passionfruit margarita. It took a while for the food to come out, and when it did, we didn't have any silverware. Our waiter didn't come back for a while, so we had to flag someone down just to be able to start eating. The trio was the highlight of the meal. The guacamole, salsa, and queso were all really good and definitely something I would order again. The rest of the food was just okay. The chicken taco lacked seasoning, while the beef taco was a bit over seasoned for my taste. The beans had an unusual flavor, and the rice tasted like it had been sitting for a while, which may have been due to the late hour. My son said the quesadilla was good. The birria tacos had a decent amount of meat, but the flavor was closer to roast beef than what you would expect from traditional birria. The passionfruit margarita was just okay and wasn't filled all the way to the top, which was noticeable. For the price, the overall experience didn't quite match the quality of the food and service. Between the slow service and inconsistent dishes, I would likely not return for a full meal. However, I would consider stopping by for takeout of the trio since that was the standout.
