While the venue appears a bit older, if does seem to be well maintained overall. They also have a good size weights/fitness area, something I haven't seen, or better, than in the few other Chula Vista rec centers I've been to.

I think at the time, 2003 or so, I was a sophomore and I was catching up on those community service hours (on top of it, I know). I remember I had to do a lot of trash pick up and cleaning up graffiti. Aside from that, in these last couple of years, I frequent the recreation center to play basketball (indoor). Their basket ball gym is so cool! First of all, its air conditioned. Second, they always music playing. And, finally, they have a total of 6 hoops. Two main ones and two on each side. However, sometimes they might have only a few down. It just depends. There's definitely regulars here who come in the afternoon to play five on five. Te best times to come are usually the first three hours after its opened. Its dead during the first couple of hours. Honestly, I love this place to shoot around, practice, relax and get away for a bit from everything. The following information below derives entirely and directly from the Chula Vista web site under recreation services. Built in 2000, the Otay Recreation Center includes a gymnasium, game room, patio, and a fitness center. The programs offered at the Otay Recreation Center accommodates a wide array of participants, ranging from toddlers to youth to senior citizens. The center contains a wide-spectrum of activities as well. The fitness center, which requires a membership, contains a variety of state-of-the-art equipment, including cardio machines, free weights, and weight lifting machines. The game room is open during our normal hours of operation for drop in play and consists of pool tables, foosball tables, a ping-pong table, and more. The gymnasium is available for open recreational play each night, for more information on the schedule, please calls the center or click on the link above. The Otay Recreation Center also offers a wide variety of recreational classes. These classes consist of many preschool classes, Ready, Set, Learn, Bumble Bee Sports, Apples to Zebras, Ballet, and more. Other classes offered at the center include, ballet, zumba and belly dancing. The gymnasium, game room, classroom, and patio are available for rentals. For more information, please call the center or click on the link above.

While the selection itself was alright, the sizes are not really together and you have to really search for the properly sized items. Overall, they have a lot to choose from. From clothing to furniture and all in between. The associates are also very nice and helpful.

I packed up a whole truck load of retail clothing racks after spending days moving my business to another location. I get there and I get an immediate attitude and said "we don't take bed frames" I said these aren't bed frames they are multiple racks worth $$$$ and he said hold on my boss wants to "look at them" I didn't call and pack up a whole truck worth of racks to just be looked at. That's why I called in the first place. She didn't want them because they had slight wear (not even rust) obviously they would have some wear. Everyone was rude and didn't even take in to account our time loading these when they said to bring them and they accept them. Honestly so disappointed and I definitely won't be donating there ever again. Which I feel is disappointing for them because I donate so much vintage/collectibles. Will be going to veterans from now on!

While some were out of my budget or would have required alterations I wasn't willing to do, I ended up finding the perfect dress--already my size, needing little to no alterations, and within my budget. We were honestly amazed. I also really appreciated that they offer to hold a dress for a short period of time (either a few hours or up to a day). When you're making a big purchase decision--especially since the dresses are final sale--it's refreshing and reassuring to see a business that encourages you not to rush. It felt honest and thoughtful, not like they were just trying to make a quick sale. The only downside was the fitting room lighting. It isn't very flattering and doesn't show well on camera, which makes it hard if you're FaceTiming family or friends for a second opinion. I'd recommend stepping toward the front of the store near the window for better lighting. As a suggestion to the store, improving the fitting room lighting would make a huge difference and would also allow customers to feel more comfortable without having to walk to the front of the shop or be visible from outside. Overall, though, it was truly a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend this store.

They also force breastfeeding when I've already seen a lactation consultant regarding breastfeeding and formula supplementation. I don't know what qualifications they have to be "counselors" but they don't seem to be licensed counselors or medical professionals to be taking any kind of weight or measurement on a person let alone give medical advice as to what I should and should not do for myself or my child. This office is also filthy. For a place that's supposed to help women and infants, there was not a clean place to change my baby. They also obviously don't care about your schedule either bc my "counselor" wrote a follow up appointment on my card handed it to me and walked me out of her office without even asking if that date works for me. Save us all the trouble of trying to reschedule. Will not be continuing with this office. Extremely disappointed.
