I bought a pair of pants off "we made too much" which are eligable for return for store credit only. The associated wanted to argue with me that they weren't eligable for return despire my order on my phone and my reciept saying different. When I asked for a manager (who eventually did the return for store credit), her attitude wasn't any better. They couldn't care about customer service and both had snarky attitudes for asking them to follow their policy. The other store associated who helped me with my hemming order was fine but disappointing to see the attitude of management in this store. I'll stick on online shopping from now on.

It's located at The Streets at Southpoint mall in Durham. lululemon is located on the west side of the mall and has an outdoor storefront. lululemon recently moved to a new suite at The Streets at Southpoint, suite 835. It's where the Apple Store used to be. lululemon opened in this new, larger space on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. I visited lululemon's old space at Southpoint (suite 935) not long before they moved. This new space is a huge upgrade. It got cramped in the old space. That's not the case anymore. There's actually room to breathe. And it's beautiful. The best place to park for this lululemon store is on the north side of the mall. If you can see the lululemon sign from the parking lot, you're in the right place. On our first visit to this new location within Southpoint, both my wife and I picked up a few items we've been needing, especially me. My old Puma athletic shorts have been worn out for a while so I picked up a pair of lululemon Pace Breaker Short 7" LL (liner-less) in Black ($68). My wife got an Open Tie-Back Short Sleeve shirt in Spiced Chai (regularly $68, but marked down to a final sale price of $49) and an Energy Bra sports bra in Black ($52). We got a 25% Healthcare Workers discount which lululemon has been offering throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you, lululemon. Like the other pieces of lululemon clothing we own, we love our latest purchases. The Pace Breaker shorts fit me perfectly. That's one thing I love about lululemon. I'm a small guy. lululemon clothes fit me perfectly off the rack. Clothes from other brands, even sportswear (e.g. Under Armour), I sometimes have to get altered by a tailor. The Pace Breaker has multiple side pockets, which I prefer, and it has a nifty extra low-profile zip-up pocket too, similar to my other lululemon shorts. They're lightweight, stretchy, and super breathable. I also like lululemon because their stores keep in-stock small sizes that my wife and I wear: small for me and numeric size 4 for my wife. No ordering for us. What we wanted was actually in the store. Maya was the sales associate who helped me. She was fantastic. She could already tell what my style was and what would look good on me. She helped me shop for the right pair of athletic shorts and answered all the questions that I had. She was really friendly. She almost felt like my personal shopper and stylist. I like how the staff writes everyone's name with a dry-erase marker outside their dressing room. Brittany, a PhD student, checked us out. She was also very kind. Based on our interactions with Maya and Brittany, I give this Durham store an A+ in terms of customer service. All customer service responses take 10 days to receive, so nothing gets resolved. Horrible customer service and crappy guarantee!

While I do like Whole Foods and will go there for certain specialty items, I tend to spend a little less at the gigantic Harris Teeter. There's a huge selection of clothing stores, you can get a legit (if pricey) massage at Hand and Stone, get your haircut, see a movie, and grab a great dinner from a wide range of restaurant options. This has been a general trend in America where people have shifted from going to traditional indoor malls to outdoor malls, some integrated with mixed-use developments and/or repurposed sites. Funny thing is Friendly Center has been around since 1957 and Four Seasons 1974. Both have changed over the years, for better or for worse. I came here multiple times with friends and family in 2008 and 2009. With my friends, we'd go to stores like REI, Great Outdoor Provision Co, and Barnes & Noble. It was around these years that I picked up a MacBook for my mom from the Apple Store. She returned several times for One to One trainings on how to use various Apple devices. Since 2018, I've been going to Friendly Center for Schiffman's Jewelers, for the most part. That's because I got my wife's engagement ring and wedding band from Schiffman's and have returned for inspections and cleanings. We returned just a few weeks ago to see Frances, who just celebrated 45 years at Schiffman's. Last month, I accompanied my wife and sister to Sephora and Anthropologie. Other brands that were or still are of interest to me at Friendly Center include Brooks Brothers and lululemon. There are also a Whole Foods Market and Williams-Sonoma. Friendly Center was sort of patchworked together over the years, so the design and routing aren't ideal and getting around can be confusing. It would be nice if there were maps of the property on-site, but we didn't see any during our recent visit. Also, at the time of writing this review, the map on their website is down. We walked and window-shopped and made a few purchases while we were here. Spent a truly enjoyable afternoon browsing and enjoying this mall the way we used to when we were just kids. Hope to visit again the next time we are in Charlotte.
