And instead of a $3,500 refund, I am getting 80% less - $700. $500 of which gets paid to Carlson for their fee. NOT HAPPY.

I provided them with all the documentation they needed to complete them. So far I got one done, which took a great deal of patience to deal with, however I can't get them to provide me with my second return. I have contacted them several times asking for updates. Weeks went by and still no response or update. Lots of apologies but no results. When I contacted them directly once again because they did not follow through on their commitment to complete the return the week of 1/5/2025, I asked the receptionist to speak to Evan(Head Guy), which she said he was unavailable to speak to me...again! I got in an argument with the receptionist about the poor quality of service. We both got short with each other. She then put me on hold, then came back on the phone in which she curtly said 'we'll send you all of your documentation, you need to go somewhere else", before abruply ending the call. It is not surprising that a company that is this unprofessional at handling accounting services now takes it out on the customer. They decided to cancel processing my last return and fired me. It seems that I am not the only one they did this to because there is another review with a similar result. Egregious customer service. Leading up to this, they were very unreliable, difficult to work with, and can't seem to meet their commitments. Their processes and services...SUCK. I can't believe this accounting firm is even in business.

My taxes are very complicated lots of investment accounts multiple 401(k)s buying and selling of stocks etc. I met Brian today at the Mono Way, H&R Block and he was incredibly welcoming and seemed very knowledge. Not only did he complete my taxes right in front of me within about an hour he got me a $4,200 return. I haven't gotten a tax return in probably 12-13 years. Being a new client to H&R Block they offer a service where they can go over your last 2 years of your returns to see if there was any mistakes made. He briefly glanced at mine and already saw a couple of mistakes. He's gonna scrub them this week and let me know when he finds. I would highly recommend H&R Block, especially if your taxes are complicated and if you can request Brian, I would do so, he's legit.
