Not only did he complete my taxes right in front of me within about an hour he got me a $4,200 return. I haven't gotten a tax return in probably 12-13 years. Being a new client to H&R Block they offer a service where they can go over your last 2 years of your returns to see if there was any mistakes made. He briefly glanced at mine and already saw a couple of mistakes. He's gonna scrub them this week and let me know when he finds. I would highly recommend H&R Block, especially if your taxes are complicated and if you can request Brian, I would do so, he's legit.

I could not and would not ever recommend Hawks & Associates CPAs…read more Hawks CPAs is a dishonest organization. We made a Big mistake providing them a retainer for assistance. We were charged 980.00 dollars for nothing more then bad advice and weeks of wasted time. If you are even remotely thinking getting involved with Hawks and Associates, you should invest the time to read our recent experience (December-2025). First, they would not even talk to me until I gave them a 2000.00-dollar retainer. After doing so, they did not provide any receipt and I had to ask, insist for one, which I received a few days later. This got me a hand written invoice that looked exactly like the type of invoice I provided to customers I did gutter cleaning for when I was a teenager about 40 years ago. In short, Hawks charged me for bad tax advice, corroborated by our banking manager and lawyer. The tax advice they gave me could not even be acted on, as both our banking manager and lawyer said we could not move forward with what they advised. Only after I told Hawks CPAs the advice, they gave me was incorrect and could not be acted on did they contact my banking manager that told them exactly that. I provided all of our information, copy of trust, all associated documents and contact information for our banking manager, lawyer and clearly stated, contact them for any needed information... They never contacted them before telling me how to move forward and I clearly believe they never even looked at any the trust and accompanying documentation or banking information I provided, before giving me bad info and charging me 980.00 dollars for their waste of my time and money; Morons. Hawks and Associates CPAs sent me an invoice for 980.00 that only stated General Services and 2025 Tax planning. I asked if they could please send me a more detailed invoice as to what the 980.00 fee involved. Hawks said no, they do not provide detailed invoices. After this I had more than enough of their BS and fired them, immediately terminated any further services with them and insisted they return any remaining funds provided for their retainer. I gave Hawks CPAs the exact spelling that was needed for the check to be deposited back into the Trust funds and asked them to please make the check out to the trust name, of course they did not follow this simple request and made the check out to me and my wife... I also asked them to please return all documents I provided and to provide the tax forms they indicated they had already been working on. They returned nothing to me and keep stating they already returned all documents and completed tax forms to me. Additionally, I also received a letter from Robert Hawks stating, "they returned all documents, materials and tax documents they worked on" and "they will no longer provide any services to me and I will need to find another service provider for assistance with tax, bookkeeping and accounting services effective immediately". To date I have only received a check endorsed to the wrong entity and their repeated statement of they do not have any documentation in my file. Read my mind!

We did not find that the duties performed where anything different then what many reasonable acting cpa or qualified tax prep persons would do and yet they charged at least 3 time more for their work. We will not use them again. They charged us $1200.00... mind you they did not tally one receipt. This was appalling and where caught by surprise. None the less we have paid our bill and will write it off next year with a different tax preparer.
