After properly terminating my lease and moving out, I received a notice from FPL informing me that my account was being closed because a new tenant had already moved into the unit--approximately two weeks after my move-out date. Despite this clear confirmation that the apartment was re-occupied, Springs at Westport is still attempting to charge me thousands of dollars in fees. A few days later, Springs at Westport contacted me again and stated they would be sending this balance to collections, even though the unit had already been leased to someone else. This situation is extremely concerning and unfair, as I am being billed for time I did not live in the apartment and for a unit that was already generating income from another renter. This experience has been stressful, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. I hope management takes accountability and resolves this issue so that no future resident has to deal with the same treatment.

Since moving in last month I have enjoyed meeting my neighbors and working with the staff here there has been no problems except blown breaker which was fixed immediately . I plan on staying here a long time and enjoy the people that work here as they are helping me to transition from a homeowner to an apartment renter after 40 years . It is still off after reporting the problem and repeatedly requesting maintenance for seven days. There is still no response just maintenance saying someone will come to fix it, but no one comes and tonight it will be very cold about 38 degrees F. I am 80 years old and I can tell you I am very disappointed in the staff not taking care of this issue in a timely manner. This is a new over 55 apartments. This shouldn't be happening.

Just because they can since there's little inventory in the area... They also recently texted everyone to say that internet is going up by $15/mo and valet trash another $10/mo starting next month. This place is helping to contribute to the lack of housing affordability for working people in the area. In the past month we've had multiple short notices about them being in our unit for "inspections". I'm sure the notices technically comply with the notification laws, but rather annoying. Not sure what that's all about because communication here is abysmal. So, if you value privacy - look elsewhere. We will not miss this place.

As far as the apartment goes, there was a roach issue. I also found fleas in my apartment, and when I contacted the office to let them know that the carpets needed to be cleaned, they completely I had to hire a professional carpet cleaning company. They either were from the previous tenants or From out in the grass. Constantly, the lawn service was neglected, most of the time the grasp being dry and crusty as they were not watering. I was there one year and this was consistently my experience: The pet area was hardly ever manicured, so it gets infested with flees easily (they'll blame the dogs digging). The gates malfunction basically weekly so you're either trapped in/out or they're just left open. Same with the pedestrian gates. The water feature in the lake stopped working for months (was still broken when I left) so the water just sat there rotting and started to smell. People stopped picking up after their dogs in several areas and nothing was done about it. This past summer the pool was open regardless of several health and safety violations, so the FD showed up midday to shut it down (suspiciously opened like a day later). The amount of bugs I had in my apartment on the THIRD floor was puzzling. Forget 24 hours notice for entering your apartment, several (at least 3 I know of) tenants experienced maintenance men using their key and just walking into their homes while they were home! I was completely disappointed in every aspect of this apartment complex, and they couldn't even separate gracefully. I don't love being 'that person' to leave a negative review, but after I received my bill today (10/27/25) less than one month from move out from COLLECTIONS no less (they didn't even send an original to me?? I have perfect credit?? In this economy?! Plz.) I genuinely feel the need to protect people from this place. There are WAY better less expensive places than this establishment. Absolutely disappointed and happy to be out of there!
