While my previous two non-family chiropractors adjusted with wonderful results, it seemed they did not perform as many adjustments during my visit. Perhaps despite having the same appointment length, not sure. For example, in one session Dr. Mitchell adjusted my shoulders, neck (spine), lower back (spine) and my fingers due to my symptoms. What were other chiropractors doing during my appointment time that may have resulted in less time for as many adjustments? Well they'd sit at the computer to chart the answers to my questions at the start of the appointment. Then after the adjustments were done (& I'm putting my shoes/glasses/jacket) back on they were completing their required medical charting. I suspect Dr. Mitchell is able to provide more adjustment varieties because he's willing to prioritize the needs over the client. Either he has more efficient charting software than my previous chiropractors, is faster at it since they were newly graduated or he may actually spend a few more minutes than the previous ones (i.e. more than 10-15 min.?). It's also possible that by owning his own one Dr. practice, he is able to more efficiently move clients through check in, updates, treatments and schedluling (my previous were in a large multi-Dr. practice). The set up of the office may further enhance services, as a client can start their check in process while another is receiving hands on treatment and yet another starting or finishing with hands free treatment using medical equipment. The electrical stimulation option for example allows you to finish up an appointment while another client is being served. Meaning: you spend more time participating in treatments with Back in Action Spine of Van Buren Arkansas than waiting to be seen. So while what one individual can benefit from will vary...as my fourth chiropractor I can confidently say he is highly skilled chiropractor. He is both happy to engage in conversation or simply let you enjoy the pain relief that is likely coming your way. My chiropractic history: I came to Dr. Mitchell already having had two or three months of twice a week initial adjustments with my first chiropractor to break up scar tissue in the spine and improve my physical well being with the achieved goal of reducing pain. I had then gone on to monthly 'maintenance' with that previous chiropractor. However, when my insurance changed and I chose to pause my 'maintenance' I knew it was a matter of time until I would experience unnecessarily stronger pain as the spine and joints became misaligned ('subluxated'). Were I diligent in movement, strengthening core and stretching perhaps I would not need to resume adjustments at all. However, I've made some choices that resulted in decreased strength and overdoing it. I am grateful that Van Buren has an holistic practitioner with the ethical drive and ability to provide the full breadth of manual adjustments to align joints and spine...as well as medical technology to assist further. As for electrical stimulation: Dr. Mitchell slowly brings the strength to the level you would like it, easily adjusting up or down. Dr. Mitchell's communication skills and genuine caring for clients allows him to hear all medical challenges and address them promptly. He is focused when you are sharing and retains what you have shared to quickly devise his strategy of healing! What more could you ask for? Best of all: he takes a variety of medical insurance plans which allow people of all income levels to participate in these non-invasive, drug free forms of healthcare. For example: Dr. Mitchell takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, both private and public plans. He surely takes others as well. In contrast, some chiropractors do not insurance, keeping costs down for the Dr. by reducing the time needed to 'file a claim' with an insurance company, however, raising costs for those whose co-pays for treatment would be smaller than the out of pocket costs. Here's Back In Action Chiropractic's website https://www.drcameronmitchell.com/ The office: easy to locate two traffic lights from the exit, clearly marked, plenty of dedicated off street parking, easily accessible south of I-40 in Van Buren (easy to get to from both Alma and Fort Smith). Ground floor: no stairs! Bathroom available. I especially like that Dr. Mitchell offers 8am appointments. This is helpful for those clients working overnights as well as needing to get to a traditional business hours position. Ease of Access Idea: offer onsite weekly (new clients) or monthly maintenance adjustments at regular major employers so employees can plan their break around their regular visit. Use a pre-existing onsite treatment room to eliminate set up time. Have a simple sign up for the following week or month. Thank you for reducing and often eliminating symptoms entirely.

From the owner: Back In Action Chiropractic Care…read more Chiropractic health treatment is spinal manipulation, often called the "adjustment". It may involve gentle pressure, or a quick thrust to restore normal motion to joints that have become restricted or "locked".
