With that being said, for what it is, it is a great place for the hunter, camper, fisherman, and outdoorsmen to get all the necessities. They carry clothing and shoes for men, women children that are designed for the outdoor lifestyle. You can find all the basics and also clothes made for colder weather. Living in Montana, that is a must! In addition to clothing, they also carry tents, coolers, camping supplies, fishing supplies, guns, ammunition, knives, and much more. This store is always very well organized and very clean. One downside is that since it's on the smaller side, certain areas of the store, especially apparel, feel very tight and cramped with minimal space to walk. The cashiers are never overly friendly, in fact I have had some who barely said a word. I prefer to shop here over Bob Ward's because Bob Ward's overprices everything in their store, even sale items. Cabela's is much more reasonable and carries the same brands. They also seem to have frequent sales on some of the bigger brands which is a huge plus!

Got back to that counter and the bike guys were like no, you could have done this up there, no reason to haul the rack back here.... Otherwise a solid REI just a very weird social encounter that threw both my wife and I.

You see, I use a laptop and its nice to have a quality bag to carry it around. We happened to be back in Missoula over the winter and I had to check out the shop. He make about four different shaped leather bags and one fits a laptop perfectly. Purchased and happy. The bags are heavy duty, attractive, handmade and every one is different. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE…read more Horrible Customer Service - - Nickel and Dime You - - Owner is Rude I rented a raft to take my family down a local river. The raft came on a trailer. The attendant strapped on the raft with two ratchet straps. When I arrived at the river, one of the straps was gone. We spent the day rafting and had fun... strapped the raft back on the trailer (with the remaining strap) and drove back to turn in the raft. When I arrived at the rental place, the owner grunted at me where to leave the boat and the trailer. I told him about the strap and he grunted again. I then went to pay for the rental and it was $85... $10 more than the posted rate. I asked why, and the attendant said it was because of the lost strap. I said that I didn't think I should have to pay for a strap that he incorrectly installed. He said that I would have to speak to the owner. I went back to the grumpy owner and he was very short and rude with me, stating that I lost his strap so I should pay for it. I explained my reasoning as to why I didn't think I should pay. He turned and picked up the phone and told his attendant to only charge me $75 and put me on the Do Not Rent list. What a jerk. I called a competitor the next time I rented and they were SOOO nice. They said they had heard from several other people what a jerk the owner of Outdoor Supply and Rental is. If this posting convinces even one person to rent from one of the other really nice vendors in town... I've done my job.
