My husband and I have been looking for to seeing a dentist after years of absence. We were very well taken care of by the team at Flat Rock Dental. I was able to get x-rays and cleaning done and rescheduled my husband's to come back for further deep, cleaning. the receptionist was warm and welcoming kind and there were plenty of reminders sent via text and email. The Office was clean and comfortable. The dental hygienist was kind and gentle. Thank you so much to the team. We also signed up for a dental insurance type program to save on costs and it already has paid for itself saving fifty percent off our visit. Right off the River before a Meijer trip. I would NOT recommend this dentist or the Romulus family dentist. They told me what my co-pay would be for the service needed. After they completed the service. I receive a bill in the mail and by email. Saying I need to pay an additional amount for service. They had my insurance information and I paid what they told me I owed before the service. Now they want more money for their inefficiencies and poor practice working with insurance company. read more

I don't know what has happened to dentists in the area, but this is just one example of bad customer service now. I think they have found someone who can run the front of the office very well, which is great considering the one gal that worked there for a while (I guess she was the dentist's GF) was horribly rude and acted like she was doing you a favor by taking your call. New lady has been very nice and helpful, so kudos for hiring Jasmine. If they're cleaning house, I hope they will get rid of the old white haired lady who has the worst attitude and bedside manner I have ever encountered. She is so rough and careless with what she does, if you're not in pain when you sit down, you will be by the time she is done with you. Sometimes people just need to retire or find a different job because they are miserable with what they are doing and just can't do the job justice any longer. The dentist is okay, tbh, I preferred the previous dentist in the practice and she was great. New dentist is friendly but always on the lookout to upsell services. I don't know about you, but I don't want someone to help me part with my money. If my teeth are fine, why are you offering services I don't need? The hygienists are fine and do a good job, but as part of the business, they too are going to upsell you on services. I wish I could find a dental practice that was transparent about costs and respectful of pain levels. I can't tell you how many times friends and family have told me that they were in terrible pain after a procedure regardless of the procedure and pain management. This place honestly deserves Negative stars and should be out of business. They do not care about their patients whatsoever, it's all about the $ to them. I got my wisdom teeth taken out a few years ago by them, and I had paid for the anesthesia, upon arriving to my appointment, they were just going to give me medication to "knock me out". I have a high medication tolerance and told them the mg % they gave me wouldn't work, so they said oh we will wait a little bit and you'll be fine. Maybe 15 minutes pass and they come back and say oh you're still conscious and aware, I told them again the mig % that they gave me wasn't going to be effective, so they wait until 5 minutes before the surgeon comes in to give me another medication pill. And then they say okay we're going to start, they cut my gums open and took my wisdom teeth out as I was crying and screaming and all I got was "you're fine you're fine." I have never ever had a problem with the dentist until then, after that l've been very Leary about coming back, l've returned there maybe twice since getting my wisdom teeth removed, and again nothing but horrible experiences. Now flash-forward, my brother got a crown and root canal, done a year ago and just a few days ago his tooth had just broke off completely!! so he scheduled an appointment to get it fixed, come to find out, they never fully cleared his tooth and just put a crown over it decaying, and so his tooth rotted and broke off, they had to go ahead and completely pull the tooth out! They even told him while prepping that "oh it looks like the tooth became unstable due to the decay" AND THEN they wanted to say it will be $2000, for THEIR mistake in not properly doing their job. This place is such a joke. Do not go here. All they care about is a paycheck. They do not care about their clients whatsoever! Do not give them your service. Not to mention the staff isn't helpful whatsoever, very unprofessional setting and should not be in business. read more

Okay went here beginning of this year they did a X-ray said I need like 9 crowns I overheard the unprofessional ladies up front saying I don't take care of my teeth is why I have issues (which is not true I've been told by a I don't it's it's my genetics) okay so they do a few cavities despite my pain that they couldn't truly care about or address that's the dentist himself I needed a root canal I had that done by dr.kakaris someone that knows what they are doing obviously and was done perfect now because my insurace issues I had go back flat rock dental and get another cavity so he did it Feb 11th he drilled to my nerve and needless to say I woke up In pain every nite whole week on pain meds .i called them they got me in looked at me said I do complain and he said to me ya you been here before complained after a cavaity(which is a lie) no X-ray taken at all all the gals at front desk I heard the gossip going on again oh gosh she's back again what now ohh it's prolly her bite needless to say he drilled my tooth no numb done and had me out in 2 min soo I just went back to dr.kakaris in Woodhaven she fixed my tooth it needed a root canal done the job was done pain is gone flatrock dental maxed out my ins 400$ for a cavity he f up on I been in pain 2 mos since Jan needed these 2 root canal that another dentist did take care of in Woodhaven Thank God and her office staff in Woodhaven very professional as well No gossiping or anything like that the bills at flatrock dental is rude and very unprofessional as well I will never go back there again and do not recommend that soap opera dental group I feel like the young male dentis is attractive and the gals he hires it's just a unprofessional situation I don't know what's going on behind the closed that place I'm a married woman don't give a damn I just wanted no more pain and treated with knowledge and respect as they are lacking both at this office .stay away I think he is incompetent read more

They answer the phone very nicely there. They put you on hold, and then never come back to the phone. I tried this 3 times with the same result on different days. Online they tell you to call the office to schedule, and when I do, that's what I get. read more

Beware they are RIP offs. Have a bunch of hidden fees that's with my insurance want to charge almost 200 dollars for 2 fillings with insurance. Recently went to my original dentist and only had to pay 40 dollars for both fillings do not go here. Payed for my xrays because they said insurance doesnt cover them then get a bill in the mail for what I already payed for. I was in search for a new Dentist in the area and was happy with my first visit. Like most, I'm not a fan of the dentist and have always had issues with my teeth so visits are not usually pleasant. The staff was kind and courteous. I had an appointment and didn't have a long waits. My dental hygienist was very sweet and patient. The Dentist came in and talked to me for a bit, took her time with me and I didn't feel any pressure to move forward with any extra, unnecessary dental work. The place was happy to take my money. But once I called and told them I didn't like the prescription. She wanted me to take another day off or at least a half day.
