I called the Ann Arbor clinic first thing Monday morning after suffering a long weekend of jow pain, and tooth sensitivity. The staff got me in the same day as an emergency. I am deathly afraid of the dentist because of my sensitive teeth. I cannot tell you how high my anxiety was, with only sharing a little of that with the staff. I think the staff caught on how afraid I was to be there. The girls were so nice, their confidence in their practice and Dr Racek made me feel so much better. Everything they told me was true. The tooth was massively infected at that time, and I'm sure technically difficult for the dentist who performed the procedure, but it held for all that time... until it didn't The tooth flared up and started causing severe pain. The dentist who performed the original root canal had since retired, so I was referred to Dr. Aminlari at A2. After a CT scan of my jaw, he recommended an apicoectomy. This is a procedure that trims the infected roots from the previously treated tooth and removes the infected areas of bone (replacing them with bone graft) so the infection does not recur. Dr. Aminlari showed me the imaging of my tooth and explained the procedure thoroughly, making sure I had a good understanding of the pre-operative prep, the procedure itself, and what aftercare, recovery, and follow-up would look like. The procedure itself was a breeze. I received a LOT of local anesthetic, and Dr. Aminlari and his assistant checked on me frequently to make sure I was OK- positioned comfortably and feeling no pain from the procedure. I could tell they had been working together for awhile because their interaction during the procedure was so smooth and intuitive. Afterwards, I was given a written set of aftercare instructions, which the staff reviewed with me again. I paid for the procedure (which honestly was less than I'd expected to pay!). I should add that I had been contacted in advance with the amount I'd be responsible for out of pocket- the staff wanted to make sure there would be no surprises I just returned from my 1 week follow-up and again was treated so well by everyone from the front office staff to the assistant to Dr. Aminlari himself. We called Dr Palte's office after 5:00 pm and the next morning, Michelle called from the office and got us an appointment for the next morning. Dr Palte and his staff were very kind, understanding, and compassionate. preliminary exam performed and Dr Palte sat down and explained the procedure in complete detail. unfortunately due to the condition of the tooth Dr explained options of repair and removal. I decided based on Dr Palte's opinion that the best alternative was to remove the tooth and plan for either a bridge or an implant. The tooth was removed and prep started for the implant. My experience with this office was outstanding. Dr Palte took the time to totally explain the procedures and my options and I am very confident in my treatment plan. His staff is outstanding and made the procedure as comfortable as possible. His staff also gave me documentation of the procedure and completed all the insurance forms for the visit. They were able to get me an appointment within a couple of days of the referral. My first interaction was with Michelle who I immediately loved. She was very kind, welcoming and explained in detail what to expect from my visit. I was evaluated by Dr. Kimball, and when I say she is a real gem, that is an understatement. Her passion for dentistry exudes from her like a ray of sunshine. She was very sympathetic to my situation, and immediately after the evaluation began the first phase of the root canal. Her assistant Crystal, and her work together like pancakes and syrup. There interaction with each other is both professional and comedic, and definitely takes the edge off from undergoing a dental procedure. I made an appointment with dr Healy because I was in SO much pain it was unbearable. Despite being terrified of the procedure and dentists in general I slowly made my way into the office. Dr Healy was amazing. He was very confident that he would not only take away my pain but make sure the procedure was painless as well. There were some rough spots but it was to be expected. I was in bad shape to begin with. I'm glad I made the decision to see him and he even called me the next day to see how I was doing and to remind me to make sure I take ibuprofen and my penicillin around the clock. Hopefully I'll never need another root canal again but if I do I know who I'm coming to see!!

Who likes going to the dentist? Certainly not me! Well, I started going to see Scott after a bad experience with a previous dentist caused me to avoid going for quite some time. Embarrassed, I showed up at Dr. Doman's and got a cleaning and a general check-out. The hygienist and all the staff are super nice. It took two visits to do my first cleaning because it had been so long. (Very sad). They did a great job! I think I had to have an old filing repaired at that time too. Scott was super kind and attentive in every way, and very patient - especially for a scardey-cat like me. That was a couple of years ago. More recently I needed a crown. Scott fitted a temporary crown while we waited for the permanent one to come in. Well, it was late on a Saturday night, and quite out of the blue, my temporary crown broke for no apparent reason. (Because that's what they do, they wait for the most inopportune time to fail!) Panic! What do I do now? I had to fly out on a business trip the next day (Sunday). What on earth was I going to do? I decided to email Scott's office just in case they could direct me somewhere. Well, about a half-hour later, I received an email back from Scott asking me if I would be willing to come into his office the next day - Sunday morning at 8:15 AM. Can you believe it? I was almost crying! What a great guy! Sure enough next morning rolls around and there we are just the two of us in his office, which he opened just for me! He puts on the new temporary crown and I am all good to go for my new job. Fantastic! I ask you? Where can you find anyone who gives service like that? Scott is kind and gentle with a personable touch. He is highly skilled as a dentist, my new crown is perfect! He takes the time to get to know you and his staff are super awesome too.
