My spouse's beer battered cod was equally gruesome. The cat voted "no" on it, too. Her French fries were also icky, but my asparagus was fine. For $18, I didn't think the six asparagus stalks made up for the terrible walleye. Both of our side salads passed muster, but the little loaf of wheat bread was nearly microwaved to death and the whipped "butter" was another low note. This ranch did not disappoint. Each room is decorated so cute, the beds were very comfortable and having a private bathroom for each room was a defendant plus. The breakfast was homemade and very delicious! The owner made sure each room was clean and even asked us if the breakfast time was good for us. You won't get this kind of service at a hotel. The surrounding ranch was beautiful. Sitting on the large deck overlooking the horse ranch with coffee in hand was so calming. I wanted to stay longer. I would recommend staying here for as long as your vacation allows. You may even bring your horse or book to ride their horse. Fortunately I was the only guest that night (I just missed a family with seven children), so I took over the upstairs bathroom to wash and dry myself and my gear. Sure, a hotel room would also have served, but I felt so much cheerier in a cozy, friendly home after that long day. They are very nice and down-to-earth folks. They'll have breakfast ready when you want it (just tell her the night before) and will have you feeling like you're part of their family. During breakfast I learned about what several of their 19 grandchildren are up to, and a visiting great-granddaughter joined us too. This place is an incredible value at $60.00 per night, and I will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area. Note: This is their home, so don't expect it to be like a hotel. I don't think they have wifi, and only one bedroom has a TV. Spend some time sharing stories with them instead. Note 2: Call at least a day ahead to be sure they have a room available for you. They are often unable to accommodate drop-ins.

We accidentally left some cash in the room and were an hour away when we realized. We texted the hotel and they were amazing enough to refund it to us. Above and beyond service. We had to decorate a suite for over 30 visitors staying with us. The house cleaning staff was perfection. They made us feel very welcome. They were kind. They went out of their way to be sure to ask if we needed anything at all. That was great service. Rooms were comfortable and clean. But I don't think they were worth $350. Especially with the construction happening. It felt like we were losing a bit of the experience. Even the gift shop was closed. It was interesting to me because we are coming to see Rod Stewart in September. It was a preview to us and how things might be. I understand construction can take time and it's necessary. But nobody should pay a premium and get half of the experience. The casino was beautiful, but confusing. And confusing is not a good way to gamble your money.
