This motel is a definite no go. Do not stay here if your life depends on it. Try the hotel next to walmart. The people here are very finicky. Right when we walked into the office, the arab man seemed very shady. He told us they don't have a queen bedroom but he could put us into a twin bed for a few nights until a queen bed opened up for my husband and I. He also said he would charge us as a queen. We paid $585 and thought we were good for the month. We entered the room and already it had a stale smell but we were tired and figured it would only be two days. Two days later, he said they still didn't have anything, yet we saw another person move in. It was really weird sleeping apart from my husband like that in a double bed. The floors were very dirty even when we entered the room like they were never cleaned. I put fresh socks on everyday and by the end of the day, my socks were always really black and dirty and I would get dirt on the bed if I did not wipe my socks off. Yucky. There was mold growing in the room, we noticed after a day or so. I think it made us sick the whole month we lived there. There were mini bugs in the beds. The last few days we stayed there, my husband and I began sleeping together and could barely get to sleep at night. We were itching and had to sleep in our clothes. Who has to sleep in their clothes when they go to bed for fear of getting to sleep? I thought it was in my head, the tiny bites I felt. By the next day, I looked at my arms and on my back. Yep, I could see the bite marks. Yikes!! On the fourth day, they said they had something. The bed was smaller than the two double beds and the room was much smaller with far less space. We told the woman her husband said there was a queen bed. She told us they didn't have queen beds. Then why did her husband lie and say they had one to lead us on? That really upset us as we said a queen not a twin, smaller than the full bed that we each had in the other room. We told her we would just stay in the other room then. They told us we had to pay an extra $55 to stay in the double bedroom. It upset us that she kinda made it so we had no choice but to choose the other room. Very deceptive in the business world. By the end of our trip, on April 30th they told us we had to pay since we started our monthly rooms on March 30th. We asked them if they could wait for 1 day till we got paid. Most motels will work with you if you are on a fixed, guaranteed income and get paid only once or twice but will give extra interest. We would have been okay with that. They were very rude, saying we could stay the night and we had to leave the next day or change our payment from the $640 to $225 plus tax a week. That came to it would have been $1125 plus tax for the full month of month May instead of $640 just for being 1 day late. I think they also did this because they had an orcan man representative come into our room to put some bug traps out and use a spray. We told him that they had bugs. I think the owner was offended that we would say they had bugs but we had to be truthful. They wanted us out and increased our rent so we wouldn't stay. I am honestly very thankful that we left. We stayed at motel 6 for a few days and now are at The Grand Inn also known as Knight's Inn. I will be reviewing them, too! It has been a much better experience. To those in Greenville, MI do not ever try this motel. The owners are rude, unkempt and filthy. They are cheapskates and do not even have regular house keeping. They live right at the motel and will kick you out for any reason. They even tell you that when you first arrive. Unless, You're a perfect tennant and don't mind being ripped off or scammed, just keep driving. This is the slums and you will be saving yourself money and heart ache by passing up this motel, I promise you!!! read more
