The manager tried to apologize and insisted that I was not denied service because of my nationality but by then, the damage was done. I felt humiliated, disrespected, and unwelcome. I ended up in tears. No one should ever have to feel discriminated against, especially when seeking professional services. Discrimination has no place in business, and I hope this office reflects seriously on how they treat people from different backgrounds. I asked for a follow up phone call so we could chat through the submitted documentation together, knowing something might need more support. Oliver and his associates said a phone call wasn't necessary, and confirmed receipt of all paperwork. They told me we were good to go, and they had everything they needed to proceed with filing. I got a communication from them in early April asking for me to submit the same documentation in an alternative manner because they didn't have the time to go through everything. AKA they wanted me to do their job for them because (1) they hadn't looked through the documents thoroughly enough in January, and (2) waited until the last minute to do file my taxes. They also failed to communicate the amount I owed to the state of New York in 2023 after taxes were filed, which resulted in a levy. These are terrible accountants who can't communicate and will put you in financial trouble. BEWARE AND DO NOT USE.
