I don't know the amount of time, or cost so maybe that's why Lifetouch is who they go with but the amount of money charged to families of the children is substantial enough. This year, when purchasing pictures, I asked my little ones name and grade be added to the pictures. It was a whopping 14.99 to any size packet or even individual picture you purchased. I paid it, guess what? Not there! So, I went through the process of trying to contact. I was able to email them and actually the response was pretty timely. They fixed it by mailing them to the house and actually gave another packet to the student at school- which were not sure why. Lots of pictures and fast response. The only concern is price, and they're not local that I can see. Maybe a local photographer can't do it for less but it seems like they could? Would like to also mention, I sent payment in the envelope provided by check but snapped a picture of both pages sent that included the package I ordered amount and what I sent with the student. I'd suggest strongly if paying this way you do that because initially they told me I didn't pay for it but I had proof by what I ordered that way and I had to email that. Otherwise, I'd be out of luck because they claimed at first I had ordered a different packet. Also, the larger picture is in white lettering, which can barely be seen. Not really a problem but some may not appreciate that. Cost to pick a different background is also more and cost to "touch up" blemishes or redness is also extra. Lots of extras! Not really great for most families, especially if you have a teenager.

True, I have a bias, I recognize that . That aside, the pictures were wonderfully framed, they were so well composed I couldn't pick a favourite. Each one captured the emotion we felt, and did it so elegantly. I wanted to print each and every one! Each one was timeless (to us) and each one was just perfect. Our friends also commented on how beautiful the images were and they were! Putting aside the fact that pictures were just sublime for a moment, what else makes this a 5 star experience. Stephanie was responsive, communicative and thoughtful in our conversation. She was available via email and telephone and replied more swiftly than I would have even expected. She not only came thru with helpful suggestions for the day, but took time to come early and help me figure out what the heck to do when my original plan fell thru for a lack of attentiveness on my part. There is something to be said for the expertise and quick thinking on her part which enabled the day to go thru smoothly. While I would have gladly paid a lot more for the pictures, and it is hard to put a price to such a wonderful moment in our lives, I must say she is very reasonably priced.
