M'Lea was very professional, confirming the appointment via text, with address, phone number, time and her accepted methods of payment (cash/check/Venmo). When I came into the salon, it was well decorated, comfortable and I was offered a drink when I came in. She took the time to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted done, and then explained her plan to treat my hair and why certain techniques would work better on my type of hair. She is clearly well educated and took the time to explain each step of the updo, so I knew what was happening just as well as she did. I'm sensitive to airborne product, and after just one long exhale, she opened a window and made sure I was comfortable, minimizing the use of spray while also making sure that my hair got the necessary product in it. My super flat, super straight hair now has tons of volume and lift for my brother's wedding, without feeling crunchy or overdone! Thank you so much M'Lea! Update: I asked her to make sure it would hold all evening, IT HELD FOR 4 DAYS Y'ALL! Still looked great, still not crunchy, still smelled good.

I had just moved to the area and was fortunate to have found Laurie Cain as my curl specialist. It…read moretook a while to schedule my first appointment, but it was worth the wait. She's a curly girl herself and is very personable and knowledgeable about curls. She educates you on curly hair, explains the techniques she uses & how to take care of your curls at home, and tries different curl products herself to make recommendations and share with you what would work for your hair but doesn't push any particular product or service. In the curls class she offers, she goes into more detail about the curl world, has a client demonstration where you can see the techniques in action, answers any questions you have, and sends you home with a few free samples. I enjoyed having that opportunity, so I highly recommend taking the class when it's available. She recently moved to a new location, and the new salon is more spacious, comfortable, and welcoming, not intimidating at all like some salons can be. She is also very responsive to emails, messages, and texts, which I appreciate when you have an emergency or need to reschedule or just have a quick question. I've been getting curly-cuts since 2014, so I highly recommend Laurie Cain and her skills as a curl specialist.

I am so glad I found her and have been along her journey as she continues to learn more about curls and teaches me!

My experience with Ella David Salon is so heart breaking. I went there because of the…read morereviews....now I'm wondering if they are fabricated. I am a cancer survivor. My hair is course and brittle. I have to take really good care of my hair. It took years after radiation to grow my hair back. We moved here because my husband got a job with Fedex. I've been around the US and experienced many hair salons. I went to see Gracie. She is super sweet. I told her the issues with my hair and she promised to take care of me. I got a couple of rows of highlights and then low lights over the rest of my hair. She gave me a "collagen treatment" that was supposed to help keep my hair from breaking. I paid $280 for all the "special treatments" to keep my hair in good condition. I've never paid that much for my hair....even living in CA. Gracie straightened my naturally curly hair, and I went home and washed my hair a couple days later. To my horror, I noticed a TON of breakage ALL OVER MY HAIR. I started crying and called Ella David Salon. They promised to have Gracie call me. Gracie text me back and I sent her pictures of what happened. She felt bad and was very nice. But there was nothing she could do but offer another "hair treatment". I didn't want my hair further ruined so I declined. I called again to talk to the owner about what happened. I left 3 messages. Finally I got upset and told the salon I needed the owner to call me back ASAP. Finally after a week, the owner got back to me. I explained the situation to her and explained how her products ruined my hair. The owner was SO apathetic and rude. She did not care AT ALL that her products ruined my hair I worked years to grow after cancer. She said they could "cut my hair and give my a free conditioner". ARE YOU KIDDING??? I paid $280 for you to ruin my hair and you tell me to get a hair cut??? I was crying on the phone to the owner and she blatantly told me there was nothing she could do and it wasn't her fault. Please be wary of this salon. The owner does not care....the reviews are deceiving. They will outrageously charge you and then ignore you. I posted a before damage and after damage photo
