So after visiting all our other favorite restaurants in Orlando this visit, we decided to go somewhere new. I was craving middle eastern/ persian cuisine. Sure enough, I searched on yelp and found this. Thanks yelp for being the best search engine for food :) Flame kabob honored a free appetizer when we checked in, which was a nice touch. We got the hummus with little warm pieces of bread. I loved the bread, it was so fresh. For my entree I got shish tawik with chicken. It was basically marinated chicken skewers with tomato, onion, peppers. It was very nice. The rice with bits of noodles were delicious. Their entrees are $15-20. I liked the quick and efficient service. We knew exactly want we wanted to order and the server assisted us right away when we were ready. I definitely would come here again when I'm in Orlando.~ read more

Wow what a great find. Very clean near Eastern restaurant that is run with great pride by all that work there. Chef came out to speak with us and to answer any question about the food or preparation. Very nice young man that is from Palestine. Food was plentiful and delicious. I'm a big fan of fried chicken liver and their offerings included onion and green peppers delicious! Very reasonably priced. Only knock is no beer or wine. Recommended! read more

Was craving falafel for dinner and this place popped up on Yelp so figured I'd give it a try. It is located in a pretty busy shopping plaza next to some other restaurants and Publix. There is plenty of parking is available. The restaurant has some outdoor seating available. I ended up ordering a falafel sandwich to go, which was pretty decent. The falafel wasn't dry, which is always my biggest issue with falafels. It was plenty flavorful and the pita was super soft. My only complaint was that there wasn't a lot of sauce so when I got to the latter half of my sandwich I had barely any left. Overall, would go back to try their veggie platter which I've heard good things about. read more

This was a fantastic experience. We ordered hummus, stuffed grapes leaves, combo kabob + gyros. Everything tasted great. For dessert baklava and pistachio lady fingers that were just a wonderful treat to end the meal with. Food came quickly and dessert was fresh made and hot. First rate, we will come back and highly recommend to others. We did not plan, stumbled upon late evening and they welcomed us and did not rush us even as we sat outside and enjoyed the pleasant evening a bit past closing. read more

I'm always in the search for good Middle Eastern food, especially Lebanese-style cuisine, and Flame Kabob is an excellent choice for the area. As far as I can tell, the food is authentic, and prepared with very fresh ingredients. In my experience so far, the food is wonderfully seasoned, fresh tasting, and delightful all around. The Chicken Shawarma rolled in pita bread is absolutely perfect. The Toum garlic sauce is a gift from heaven bestowed upon us mere mortals in this corner of Dr. Phillips. Seriously. Get two (or more) sides of this sauce because if you're anything like me, you will run out because you put it on everything with careless disregard to how much you had remaining. I have not yet eaten at the restaurant, but I've been inside to pick up my lunch order (twice now) and while small, it seems accommodating, clean, and pleasant enough. The main problem that I've encountered here is not with my order, but those of my co-workers. Our orders have not been consistent with the menu. For example, someone did not get their fries with their pita, someone else got their fries, but not the Toum sauce, and things of that nature. Service has been very pleasant, but just not consistent. In short, this is a fantastic restaurant in the area and I really love coming here for the excellence of the food. If you're looking for great Lebanese food, this place is worth your visit. read more

With a name like flame kabob , you would think there was several options of kabob's. No! I ordered a mixed wrap. The plating and presentation was delivered in tinfoil. No side dish was offered. I also ordered the hummus because of this. The food was okay but not worth the $32.00 spent. The iced tea was old and rancid. My family of 5 had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The servings were huge, and the taste and temperature of the food were perfect. The best baba dip and tabouli I have ever eaten. First things first: I'm not an expert on Middle Eastern food. I don't eat it often, and have little point of reference as to how it should be. That being said, I REALLY enjoyed my meal at Flame Kabob. I started with the fried Kibbeh as an appetizer. It came out darker than other pictures I've seen online, but to my surprise it was very tasty. Best not to judge a book by its cover. For an entree I ordered lamb chops, medium well. The chops came out overcooked to the point of being stiff and fibrous. They also gave me rice instead of the fries listed in the menu. I informed my server, and (with no drama and a smile) she took it back to have it corrected. To be on the safe side, I requested the chops be cooked medium; they came back well done. *sigh* Maybe I should have asked for medium rare. Luckily the chops still tasted good; I would have been nervous to send them back again. It didn't hurt that the hummus and pita were very good too. I look forward to trying them again. This would have been a 5-star review if not for the consistent overcooking. read more

Unassuming from the outside in a plaza with a lot of restaurants, but the food and service were excellent! We had the lentil and beef soup, and split the kabob combo which had one kabob each of chicken shishtawok, one steak kabob (perfect medium rare) and one kibbeh, one of the best I've had. Served over very savory flavorful rice and a little salad with tasty dressing. Arabic music playing and decor. Definitely try this one! read more

HIRE MORE USEFUL STAFF, PLEASE! I truly wanted to give this place a 2 star review, but only it to 3 because the food was good. We literally sat there for 15 minutes without anyone waiting on us. When the waitress finally came up, it was another 10 minutes for our waters. There was only three other tables filled, Saturday at 2pm... In my opinion the prices are a little high, but as I stated the good food made up slightly for the horrible service. read more

Came in recently for a small lunch. I had the Shish Tawook chicken and vegetable skewers. The chicken was moist and well-seasoned, and was served with plenty of rice, two sauces (tzatziki and a nice mustardy sauce) and a green salad. Looked for a middle eastern, affordable, value, and non-chain lunch stop, Flame Kabob showed up as real option on the Yelp list. Upon arrival, my wife and I would describe the exterior of the small restaurant is very humble in appearance (with the exception of the large letters for the their sign on the south side of the building) and located at the end of a storefronts in the Dr. Phillips Marketplace. We were greeted warmly and were able to seat ourselves in a booth. Overall seating is maybe 35-40, depending on how many sit in the available booths. Small tables also are available. After we placed our order, we were served a basket filled with fresh, warm pita and a small bowl laden with about 5 green olives, 1 kalamata olive, and 5 homemade pickle slices. The owners, from Jordan, bake the pita at their only other location, close to Disney, and the freshness was evident. For dipping the pita, each table is set with two bottles of olive oil - one plain and the other with herbs and spices. We both tried the seasoned olive oil and to our palate's delight, found that lemon juice was also present. For our lunch, we chose the vegetarian platter ($10), complete with 2 falafels, baba ganoush, 3 stuffed grape leaves, tabouleh, and hummus, and, the shish kabob with grilled lamb wrap ($7). Both dishes were seasoned well and we were impressed and thrilled with the food and flavors: Vegetarian Platter - the vinegar and parsley-based tabouleh was fresh, the stuffed grape leaves were a combo of chewy and tangy (lemon) that suited it well (I've found other restaurants' take on stuffed grape leaves usually bland and limp), baba ganoush on point, falafels had a bit of a spice finish, and the hummus was smooth with an okay flavor. Shish Kabob wrap - the mixture of seasoned lamb with tahini and other spices complemented the dish with shredded iceberg lettuce and small pieces of roasted tomatoes finishing off the ingredient list. The service was friendly and accurate; the interior is modest in decor. However, check out the interesting wood door with signage at the back of the place. A definite return for lunch would be in order if/when we are in the area again. read more

I was in the mood for falafel and this place came up nearby with excellent reviews! Ordered the wrap and an appetizer of chilled cucumber yogurt. When you check in on yelp, the appetizer is complementary. This is a very simple but pretty decorated place with an outdoor area for seating also. Close to shopping like Publix and CVS. Food was excellent, staff was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend and return soon! read more

I have been wanting to come here since I moved to Orlando and I always seem to forget. My bad, I have been missing out on delicious pleasure. Food is super tasty, and their lunch menu is awesome! I plan to come here more often. The server Zacharia was so friendly, and the restaurant is very clean. Definitely recommend if you are having the urge for Mediterranean cuisine. Today I was in a rush and stopped by at this place to get a quick sandwich and asked them how it would take and I was told it takes 10 to 15 min! I thanked them and said I'm in a rush and I need to get my food in 5 min! The guy who greeted me said, you need to go McDonald to get a 5 min food in a very sarcastic wayseriously?!!!!!I would never ever recommend the place when they get mad at their customers! This place needs to show more respectful manners! read more

My husband and sister n law and I stopped here on our way out of town. It was a great decision. They allowed dogs outside so that was a great plus. We got the hummus chicken swarma appetizer. It was delicious. I got the lamb chops. I'm used to getting it medium rare so it was a bit too overcooked for me but the taste was great. My sister in law got the chicken swarma and husband got the kabob. I got to enjoy them later as leftovers. It was so good! The rice or pasta dish that comes with all the plates was delicious!! read more

Great spot, love the recent service I received. Try the Falafel and the mix grill platter. You will be pleasantly surprised. The chef garlic sauce is a family secrete, lather it on everything you eat. I recommend the outdoor seating specially with covid, they transformed the sidewalk into a little Lebanese garden. read more

Wandered over the other night without giving it much thought. Luckily, they are casual and relaxed about the dress code, but it was still quite classy. Makes for a good family place. As a matter of fact there was a family of five at a nearby table. There were small children in the group and all seemed happy. It would make a great place for a fun date, but perhaps not "dazzle your date with romance" one. Looking over the menu, there was plenty to choose from, but I will admit I went fairly tame... Meat Shawerma (I chose chicken). It was delicious. Quite flavorful, and served over a generous bed of basmati rice along side a house salad. The waitress was quite attentive, keeping my drink topped off and asking several times if I needed anything. After my meal, I was tempted by the rice pudding, served warm and sweet in a little bowl. I will most definitely return here. Food, service, atmosphere, and price... all very good. read more

Great value for lunch. I believe they took their lunch menu away for a while but when I ordered on uber eats it appears to be back. Got the vegetarian platter ($10) amd it came with 3 stuffed grape leaves, 2 falafels, baba ghanoush, hummus, tabouli, and pita. It is a nice assortment and everything tasted fresh. The stuffed grape leave were nice and tangy, as was the tabouli. I tried the lamb shish kabob meal (10$) which came with chunks of seasoned lamb and vegetables skewered on top of rice pilaf. The lamb was seasoned perfectly and it was a generous portion. The meal also came with hummus and a salad. Overal, great value and quality. read more

So I arrived at the restaurant 1 hour after ordering and was told they had no idea when the order would be ready. I finally got my order about 1 hour 45 minutes after placing the order. While I understand they are trying to eliminate staff to take and track orders, the whole process and extra wait makes it worse since there doesn't seem to be any feedback to Clover about extra time required. Once I finally got the food and took it home, we enjoyed every bit of it. The baba and lavas was fantastic and the lahmacun was good. I considered ordering family platters, but did not because they all contained chicken. I ordered lamb based dinners which were also great. A single dinner is enough for 2 adults in our experience. I observed most tables were taking home food. So overall food was great. Ordering and pickup were quite bad.

We also got 2 salgams and they split it into 4 cups for us. This was far too much food for us, all of us overate. Honestly I think we were fine with just the mixed appetizer and the lavos. That being said, know the portions are LARGE. The mozz pide itself needed pepper flakes (which they had so we added) or some sauce or something. It's kinda like cheesy bread, I don't think I'd get it again. The spinach pide however was so good! We got it with the feta cheese and it was so soft and fresh. The mixed appetizer was SO good and I highly recommend it, especially if you're in the bind we were (couldnt decide what dip to get). Theres 5 dips that come in it- Ezme, hummus, tabouli, baba ganoush and cacik. The ezme was my personal favorite- so full of flavor. The garlic really made it pop! The hummus was also really good, definitely one of the best ones I've had! Very creamy and fluffy. The tabouli honestly wasn't super memorable. Not that it was bad- it was good, but compared to the others it just...lacked. The baba ganoush was AMAZING! I've never had one like it before and I liked it so much that I'm attempting to recreate it at home. The baba ganoush is a must try. The cacik was also really good but it's not a thick dip, you could almost just use it as a drizzle. Overall I'd recommend checking out Istanbul grill. The food is phenomenal!
