My daughter is in her second year as a middle school student here and it has turned her life around…read morein such a positive way. She came from a public school in Sedona but it was not challenging enough. Even though it's a one hour drive, we are delighted to take her here to Flagstaff because she has discovered the love of learning again. She loves Latin, and Physics, and Advanced Geometry. Whereas in her old school they just offered "science " class. She now passionately knows what she wants to do as a profession ( although that could change). She is self motivated to learn study and get good grades now, because she has already picked out the Ivy League school that is best in her chosen field of Paleontology , and she knows it won't be easy to get in. She has a great group of friends who are all good influences on her, and she loves volleyball when the school offers it for girls.

After a snowstorm, school staff allowed the children to play on a playground covered in snow and…read moreice. During this time, a piece of ice struck my son on the back of the head, forcing his head forward into his forehead and breaking his glasses. The teacher attempted to fix his glasses but did not seek medical attention for him or notify me. CPS/DCS personnel were present at the school and also failed to ensure he received care or that I was informed. I only learned of the incident later that evening when my son told me what happened. A few days later, he developed a high fever that required medical attention. I asked if it could be related to a possible concussion from the impact, but no diagnosis was made. Fortunately, antibiotics were given to prevent infection. This shows a complete lack of common sense and duty of care.

Horrible interactions. Administration failed to reply to this email and concern…read more Vada Visockis, It has come to my attention that last week, during finals, my daughter was provided an option to remove a vanity license plate from my car or be suspended (picture of AZ sunset and letters DRRUSTFCKITS, because it spent 3 winters in Chicogo and every non aluminum item rusted). Vanity plates or tag lines are cognitively intended to convey playful intelligence. If they trigger a person, it is possible that they fail to comprehend the intent of playful intelligence. Your reaction strikes me as a demonstration of intelligence like that portrayed by the characters Lloyd and Harry, or Beavis and Butt-Head, or the cute yellow Minions when Mr. Ramsbottom said his own name and they laughed like pre-school children. ... You see, I have attended an NPA volleyball match, a basketball game, and a soccer game. I was aghast at the lyrics played over the speakers. Music to rally up and get the fans and students engaged and excited. Words that are racist and star with 'N' that I dare not even type blaring over NPA speakers..... But, my vanity plate is your trigger. Lyrics that clearly state a guy wants to bend a woman over and then follows again with words I dare not type but detailing licking and sticking, etc..... But my vanity plate is the trigger..... I can also reminisce about the published school dress code. Then I realize I need to keep my head down and look at the ground when on campus because the visual seems to be the role play of the songs played at sporting events. Maybe I have entered an establishment that requires I be 18 or 21 to enter. There are gluteal sulcus's on clear display and walking all over... but my vanity plate is your trigger. Curious, if you have the time and energy to demand the removal of my vanity plate, because you find the letters that are close to a vulgar word offensive, what would you do if I share some words that have a full foul word in them? Would we need to remove those from textbooks at NPA so as to not trigger those lacking playful intelligence? What if I ordered a cocktail? Was acting crass, asked Joe to cut the grass, played a brass instrument, studied Scunthorpe problems (has the word cunt in it....), went to an assembly, had an assist in basketball, was researching meltwater as a software package or water collected in lakes after snow melt. Let me help you with that one as well, it was the word twat in it. ....Maybe I went to the lake and caught some bass. What if I had a vanity plate that said, 'Nice Bass'? No bad words at all but the playful intelligence of many would tell you they are referring to a person's ass.....We could also study space and investigate Uranus, but lets not go there. My point here, while a little tongue and cheek if you will, is to make a point. I doubt you are tramp-ing on all these words or the 1st amendment across all of NPA. That is however an assumption..... and we know what that can mean. So, if you are too scared to enforce the dress code out of fear of offending or admitting you were looking at a students body, and not tramping on the 1st amendment, and not filtering music at NPA sponsored events, but you are demanding my daughter remove a vanity license plate..... I think you are a coward and a bully and acted as such toward a person who you felt would not retaliate. A person for whom you could make an example of that you suspected would simply oblige. The clear signs of harassment and a bias. Yes, the bully, the emblazoned bad person who should not hold a position of authority over others that are subject to behaviors of a bully that are often intended to be mean, belittling, or to demonstrate a power differential. Bully's have no place in our schools. I have CC'd the Superintendent and Principal. I am demanding a public apology from you to my daughter or your quiet resignation. Given the seriousness of this, and that its Memorial Day weekend I will allow you till 5 pm on Thursday May 30th to postulate and render your response and answer. A concerned parent and pillar of the community

There are many fights and I would not say I felt especially safe here. I made several reports about the bulling, slurs, and my things being stolen due to other students not liking my hobbies, nothing was done about it and I continued to get bullied. Me and my friends get barked at regularly due to us dressing differently. The bathrooms are awful and more often than not to there will be people vaping in there. The teachers aren't amazing, one refused to use a student's preferred pronouns, when asked he stated "I can call you whatever I want". Another teacher managed to not notice a student having a panic attack in her class. All in all I would not recommend this school, I have experienced lots of discrimination and have been slammed into walls due to the inconvenient layout of the hallways and the rush of poeple crossing the school, trying to get ti classes very far away in less than 4 minutes.

They're rambunctious, receive special services, and are fully supported by Pine Forest's nurturing environment. I've seen some reviews mention that Pine Forest's curriculum isn't as competitive as other public schools, but I completely disagree. Pine Forest follows the same Arizona state standards as every other public school. The difference lies in how those lessons are taught--through developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences that help children truly understand what they're learning. Waldorf education is deeply connected to nature and largely screen-free. I have a master's degree in educational technology and I love this balance. Waldorf's emphasis on creativity and curiosity builds the essential foundations for success in technology and beyond. Children at Pine Forest aren't falling behind because of less screen time; they're developing the focus, imagination, and problem-solving skills needed to use technology responsibly and meaningfully when the time is right.
