They're rambunctious, receive special services, and are fully supported by Pine Forest's nurturing environment. I've seen some reviews mention that Pine Forest's curriculum isn't as competitive as other public schools, but I completely disagree. Pine Forest follows the same Arizona state standards as every other public school. The difference lies in how those lessons are taught--through developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences that help children truly understand what they're learning. Waldorf education is deeply connected to nature and largely screen-free. I have a master's degree in educational technology and I love this balance. Waldorf's emphasis on creativity and curiosity builds the essential foundations for success in technology and beyond. Children at Pine Forest aren't falling behind because of less screen time; they're developing the focus, imagination, and problem-solving skills needed to use technology responsibly and meaningfully when the time is right.

I have sent 4 children to Montessori Schools of Flagstaff Pre-K - 8th grade…read more I would HIGHLY recommend this group. I cannot say enough great things about my experience with their teachers, staff, parents and students. Absolute top-notch, one of the MAIN reasons my family and I stayed in Flagstaff for over 15 years! S

I cannot give enough praise to this school! The Montessori Middle School is the greatest school I…read morehave ever been to. I went to preschool and kindergarten at the Sunnyside campus, elementary school at the Switzer Mesa campus, and I just graduated from this school. I know I am fully prepared for high school, my fist job, and many other challenges in life. I was a CFO of the pizza business, "Ellie's Pizza Party", in which we sold pizza to the Switzer campus to raise money for our annual San Juan River Trip, which taught me how to manage a business. We went on community connections to help our community, going-outs for fun, and immersions, to bond. And finally, we went on the end-of-year River Trip, where we bonded for four days and three nights on the river. My favorite part of this school, though, is that the teachers and students always allow you to be yourself, and will always accept you for who you are. -Madison, age 13

My daughter is in her second year as a middle school student here and it has turned her life around…read morein such a positive way. She came from a public school in Sedona but it was not challenging enough. Even though it's a one hour drive, we are delighted to take her here to Flagstaff because she has discovered the love of learning again. She loves Latin, and Physics, and Advanced Geometry. Whereas in her old school they just offered "science " class. She now passionately knows what she wants to do as a profession ( although that could change). She is self motivated to learn study and get good grades now, because she has already picked out the Ivy League school that is best in her chosen field of Paleontology , and she knows it won't be easy to get in. She has a great group of friends who are all good influences on her, and she loves volleyball when the school offers it for girls.

During this time, a piece of ice struck my son on the back of the head, forcing his head forward into his forehead and breaking his glasses. The teacher attempted to fix his glasses but did not seek medical attention for him or notify me. CPS/DCS personnel were present at the school and also failed to ensure he received care or that I was informed. I only learned of the incident later that evening when my son told me what happened. A few days later, he developed a high fever that required medical attention. I asked if it could be related to a possible concussion from the impact, but no diagnosis was made. Fortunately, antibiotics were given to prevent infection. This shows a complete lack of common sense and duty of care.

What an amazing little school. My daughter has attended the montessori schools of Flagstaff…read moreWestside campus for 2 years (pre school and kinder). The teachers and staff are fantastic. They really take the time to get to know your child and your family. Which I appreciated very much. Academically, I couldn't be happier. My daughter learned how to read, write, math (addition, multiplications, subtraction and even division!). They also have NAU professors come and teach the children about insects, bones, the weather... they also expose the children to essential practical life skills. They also learn about geography, different cultures around the world and their traditions. Fun field trips. Cooking lessons. This was the perfect start to my daughter's journey in education. I highly recommend it! We will miss this school.

The church sits on top of a hill all by itself. Do not recall this church being here during our last visit to Flagstaff a couple of years ago. The layout of the church looks great.
