PINE FOREST CHARTER SCHOOL.. Excellence in every way....!!!…read moreBoth my children graduated from this school and thrived due to the wonderful education they received. They both went on to be business owners....artists that were/are popular with their talent they received from this their academics here: the list can go on. Ms. Roe and Ms. Smith are wonderful principals too. You won't go wrong if you choose this school. I'm an educator and Waldorf education is the best education out there.

As a former teacher with ten years of experience, I couldn't imagine a more caring and dedicated…read morefaculty for my children. They're rambunctious, receive special services, and are fully supported by Pine Forest's nurturing environment. I've seen some reviews mention that Pine Forest's curriculum isn't as competitive as other public schools, but I completely disagree. Pine Forest follows the same Arizona state standards as every other public school. The difference lies in how those lessons are taught--through developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences that help children truly understand what they're learning. Waldorf education is deeply connected to nature and largely screen-free. I have a master's degree in educational technology and I love this balance. Waldorf's emphasis on creativity and curiosity builds the essential foundations for success in technology and beyond. Children at Pine Forest aren't falling behind because of less screen time; they're developing the focus, imagination, and problem-solving skills needed to use technology responsibly and meaningfully when the time is right.

I only had my child in this facility for 6 days and removed. I was made to feel like my child was…read morean inconvenience for them. Probably because the facility is under staffed daily which leads to having to scramble and accommodate all the kids, constant shifting around. There was never anyone at the front desk at drop off or pick up. I showed up for pick up one day and the door was wide open. Her AM teacher was telling me about a conversation she had with her boss about how my child was gonna have a rough first two weeks adjusting and she said to me "damn" all disappointed, like that was gonna be a bummer for her. The communication is very poor overall or non existent at pick up, unless it's on the app(which not everything is specifically documented)- like that my child didn't eat lunch or why the outfit was changed - came to find out she had the runs and a fever the next day after only being there 3 days. They chose not to tell me, had me questioning if they even gave the lunch I brought... or when I asked the pm director I noticed her outfit was changed did something happen and all I got was a "Yep" for whatever reason. Everything looks perfect on paper though for documentation purposes on their end. My first experience with a daycare was extensively negative and I choose to not lay it all here. It wasn't a good fit for us, not accommodating to our needs nor was my child comfortable here. I would not recommend for a transitioning child's first time into daycare. Don't get sold on the pitch like I did, nothing was what I was told. I feel bad for the few very sweet teachers who care, actually show up everyday and have to deal with the chaos. Kudos to them. *Edit, Update: 10/3 Just got a tip from someone who worked there that says they have a registered sex offender working there that has there children there and a teacher. BEWARE AND BE CARFULE!

As a former employee, I can say that the…read moreenvironment is the place that you would want your child to be and it also creates a sense of community within the parents and teachers. & if you are looking for employment you are opening yourself to supportive management and owners and coworkers that are truly there for the right reason - to teach young minds. It is a preschool that encompasses Reggio style learning. All of the children will come in running with a smile on their face, that's how you know they feel safe, cared for, welcomed, and ready to learn. Owners are very supportive and caring and the pay was great. I was very sad to leave HHH but I did leave on a positive note! I would definitely come back to HHH if I ever find myself back in flagstaff.

Huge thank you's to Tynkertopia's creator, because what she has made, will leave such a legacy in so many kids, and families lives!!! It was our first time in, and will not be our last. My little boy had so much fun crafting with free run of endless loose materials. Something about the place and it's wonderful staff just calms the nervous system, and lets you know you are in a safe space where everyone is encouraged and accepted. The way the staff reacts when your child asks a question, or asks for materials that are not out amongst the thousands that are visibly available is with willingness and kindness. They even went out to the shed to bring in stuffing for the craft my kiddo decided to make as a Christmas present for me. He felt so valued and respected...like his voice mattered inside of Tynkertopia, even though he's a kid. Another thing they do when you walk in the door that was so unique and adds to the feeling that you are welcome there is to give you a tour of where everything is and what's available to do. They introduce you to their fascinating Honey Ant colony, and you can even spot the Queen! Honey Ants are beautiful creatures. Tynkertopia offers nutritious snacks for hungry little tummies. The way they bring you in to this wondrous space makes you feel so at home. This is a non-profit and apparently they just won a couple of awards for (I think it was ) best things to do with kids, and best non-profit and they absolutely deserve both of those. Thank you, thank you for being so kind to us and selling my son the 3D printed spiral fidget for a kids price; because he...is...obsessed with it!!! We had the most fun ever, and are still in disbelief that a magical, yet so humble a space like this, exists. My kiddo says he wishes he could be there every day. To be honest...I could be there every day myself.
