They have learned so much since they started at the school in January, and they are both eager to see their instructors each week. I haven't yet had the pleasure of hearing Terry play, but my daughter said he is one of the best musicians she has ever heard. It is wonderful to be at a school where my daughters receive such devoted attention. Thank you, Terry, Bonnie and Joe. Our family has had a great amount of music instruction over the years, and the Flagstaff School of Music is definitely one of the best.

This is a decent community college that offers a variety of classes and certificates. The variety of classes is decent, the cost per credit is pretty good, and the quality of the teachers is also notable. There is a small cafe on the campus which is ok. I never went to the bookstore though because it was out of my way. There's not much to say other than that. I think the perception of the college is very individual to one's needs. I only came here to take a few courses in person and online, and I found the process of attending to be easy and had a good experience overall.

Great find. The student massage clinic is on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons. I thought the student I…read morehad was wonderful. She was very professional. At the beginning of the appointment, you fill out an intake form that allows you to put the areas that give you the most trouble. My student was able to get all my problems addressed. She constantly was asking if the pressure was okay. I never had an issue. She wasn't too soft, or too hard. It was on pat with what you would find at other places, but way cheaper. The reason I gave 4 stars was because the massage "rooms" are curtained off sections in a large room. It felt private, but what I did not like is that there was a lot of chatter. It disrupted my ability to fully relax. Other than that, I would give it 5 stars.

Instead of just choosing the location nearest me, I did some due diligence and called and spoke with the teachers, after a short conversation with Jason I confirmed that he knew what he was doing and was someone I could see spending the next 90 hours with. Now on my fourth and final week I'm feeling confident about what I've learned and the ability to pass the state test. Bonus to the course is that Jason is a experienced real estate person so he adds anecdotal real-life experiences that really help break up the monotony of the required material. He is also bilingual so sometimes he slipped some Spanish doesn't even know it, which is usually pretty funny. Since the massive drop in enrollment (3k) for Fall 2026 and the 250+ person layoff (Summer 2026),…read morethe university is really struggling. It's not just philosophically; it's everything. Instead of laying off administrators, they've laid off actual boots-on-the-ground workers. The president just got a 20% raise. Two percent per year is standard, not 20. Overall, I think the university is hypocritical. Your experience, unfortunately, heavily depends upon your professor, major, supervisor, or manager. Experience is inconsistent across the the board. Their parking and transit is failing. Special events are unsupported. Maintenance and custodial staff are overworked and falling behind. Residence hall staff are overworked. Budgets are being slashed. Morale is really low. If you're a potential student, you'll need to do a lot of independent research to see if attending NAU is a good choice not just for your MAJOR but also OVERALL. Conditions are getting tough. Flagstaff is getting more expensive, ironically. God knows, DO NOT LIVE IN McCONNELL HALL. It's a mess! The electrical system, plumbing, WiFi, hot water, and smoke alarm system are all a cluster. It's also very noisy since they removed the carpeting. Further, the building layout is confusing, the lights obnoxious, and the colors are ugly. It's kind of depressing. So, if you're affected by your environment, I would live off campus rather than McConnell Hall.
