In honesty the place has improved over the last year and there have been quite a few new business opened up and some of the original ones have restructured but there still is something about the place that unlike other shopping centres doesn't entice me to want to stay and browse . In its defence there are a lot of new business opening which might improve the complex but I don't think anything would make me want to give up my precious time and come here for a days shopping .

The prices are very reasonable although some items can be bought elsewhere at cheaper price but that's not to say that you can't find that proverbial wee bargain! The store is big and spacious and there are plenty of parking spaces. It is well laid out and is pleasant enough to browse around and the staff are very helpful. It is worth visiting this store especially if you are looking for those seasonal items as the deals are very competitive .

We stopped off and walked into this huge cave of a place - a mixture of ladies, gents and children's clothing. There were groceries, household products, sports equipment, jewelry and pet store products. I trawled through lots of different clothes, some marked with stickers that say 'This garment was produced for a popular high street store' - I guess they have a small amount of factory seconds but most of the products are too expensive for customers looking for a bargain. I did buy one top for £7.00 so I was happy enough. My sister, who usually loves shops like this, thought it was full of things you could buy in the pound shop for half the price. I won't be back.

The ground floor hosts ladies and kids clothing, accessories and footwear as well as toys and books. Upstairs is home to mens clothing and accessories, luggage and an excellent homeware department. I always find this store to be tidy and the staff are very helpful. There are loads of tills and a returns area so the checkout process is pretty fast. If you are a fan of a rummage check this branch out.

Cotters is really your average cheap 'n' cheerful pound store, selling everything from hardware to confectionery. I've myself a few bargains in here (of the sweetie variety, no less), including four packets of sweets for a pound, five 'Caramel Bunnies' for a pound, and a packet of Riesen...yep, you guessed it, for a pound (which, if you haven't tried, you really should). It's a more old-school discount store, as opposed to the up-and-coming chain stores such as Poundland and Pound Stretcher. Some of the stuff is a load of old junk, but most of it decent enough quality, and you can't go wrong in the food section. It's always my downfall, and you truly get a good few offers in there. Anyway Dunnes Stores eh? What can I say, it is a bit of an institution in Northern Ireland and Ireland, it is kind of the same deal as Primark. Low quality clothes but at an excellent price. For instance I think I have got a few white shirts for various occasions from Dunnes stores. I would say its target audience is the older generation as I do not see too many young people go in and out of Dunnes. But it must be doing okay as it has been in its unit in the Flagship centre for years and years. If you need the basics in terms of clothes and don't want to spend too much money then I would go to Dunnes Stores. The flagship Centre is right in the centre of town and there is on site parking and ATM's galore.

It is a lovely clean and bright store and the layout always stay the same so there is no valuable time wasted trying to find the section you are looking for. I have bought several things from this shop and have always been impressed with the price and the service. The girls behind the counter don't bug you no matter how long you browse. I recently bought a friend of a friend, who's birthday party I was attending two gorgeous rustic candle holders and two scented candles for less than a tenner!! Bargain or what! The best thing is the girls behind the counter will wrap them for you and put them in a nice little bag making the gift look way more expensive than it is. There are three parts to the shop; one area for gifts as I've mentioned, one area for kitchen goods and cookware and an upstairs with children's toys and clothes. Everything is reasonably priced, you can pick up some really unusual kitchen goodies which I have never seen for sale anywhere else. Well worth a visit.

You know those fiddly people in your life who cause you huge issues when it comes to present buying for them? A friend of mine had a milestone birthday approaching, but I don't know her well enough to warrant an absolute plethora of gifts. So, I thought I would play it safe and get her a bracelet. This particular one was a gorgeous pink beaded bracelet with a tiny charm, bearing of the name of the company who made it. The shop assistant was fantastic and provided the loveliest silver pouch for my, I mean, my friend's new piece of jewellery. As she lovingly wrapped the bracelet, I soon realised that I hadn't asked the price...ooops. Slight panic ensued, but as soon as the shop assistant pleasantly asked for £6, my heart started beating again. What a bargain for such a luxurious looking piece of costume jewellery. Happy days. Located at the Bottom of High Street and opposite teen hang out McKee Clock, Rough Stuff is always busy. Why is it so popular you ask? Well it is a little different from everything else in Bangor. It provides rebellious teens and adults alike a different shopping experience. Packed full of Band t-shirts, pin badges, skater chains and posters. You would be forgiven for thinking you had been transported to early 90's Seattle. So if you are shopping for an alternative teen or fancy reliving your youth, pop down to Rough Stuff and have a sift through its unusual dark treasures, who knows you might even come out with a Nirvana T-shirt.

It has a really large fruit and veg section and a good hot food counter - You know what you get when you go to Sainsbury's. It's the middle of the road supermarket although they often have really good offers on. At peak times this Sainsbury's can get incredibly busy so I would recommend going off peak or you'll never get out of the car park.

This place is massive, having recently been extended with a much larger clothes and home section added. This means that there is always something you can pop into get for a present for your parents or your girl/boyfriend. The food section in here is great and I'm a particularly huge fan of the profiteroles. The staff are always friendly and attentive and always on hand to help out. The parking here is amazing with plenty of free spaces. On top of that it is based in Bloomfield Shopping Centre which means it is easy to get to with lots of ATMs and other shops about.
