We had Aspen Creek design and install a specialized equestrian irrigation system. The system was…read moresupposed to be protected from freezing but the lines were not pitched properly so several lines did not drain back out as designed. Obviously the water froze and broke several lines. After several phone calls and promises to come out with an irrigation service person, no one ever showed up or called back. Since there was no stated "warranty" on the work, I have no recourse but to hire someone else to fix this. As I've unfortunately read too late in many of these other reviews, this seems to be common.

We hired Aspen Creek for a full landscaping revision. While some aspects were positive - the yard…read moredesign is improved and the installation crew was hard-working - there were many frustrations, primarily with poor communication and follow through. We asked for hardscaping ideas and they had nothing to offer. Our Rainbird irrigation system leaves bone dry patches and flooded areas so plants die. Aspen Creek replanted the same plants only to die again. We have waited a year for the final design plan and plant list that has never come despite continued promises. Our sod is dying because the soil grade isn't correct. If you want good customer service, timely follow and clear communication, consider other landscaping companies. For what we paid, I would expect far better treatment. We have reached out many, many times, even trying to reach this business owner.

June 9, 2026 Over the past six years we've utilized Preferred Landscape Services (PLS) for…read moremultiple projects and have always been pleased with the final product. They installed our beautiful paver patio with a french drain 5 yrs and did an awesome job!! We had no hesitation when scheduling PLS to power wash the patio and replace the polymeric sand. I asked Dave what the power washers PSI was, he indicated it would be a 3,500 PSI. We'd always used a battery operated 450 PSI power washer so I researched the appropriate PSI for washing pavers. Everything I read recommended a 1,000 to 1,500 PSI which caused concern. Given PLS installed the patio and our comfort with their services we trusted PLS and dismissed our concerns. A 4,200 PLS power was used to power washed the patio which severely damaged the edge of multiple pavers. Dave offered to look at the results. His response was "they did exactly what they were suppose to, to clean out all old sand. When he asked "what resolution would satisfy us"? My response was, I wish I would've selected someone else to complete the work. Short of that I wanted PSI to replace the pavers. Dave's response was, "they don't make that color any more". I'd file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau however PLS isn't accredited with the BBB. I also couldn't find PLS on the OR Landscape Contractor Board. We definitely won't be utilizing PLS in the future.

Dave was very responsive to my email asking about doing some hard escaping around my yard, and he…read morescheduled a meeting to come out and look at my space. I explained to him that, due to the size of my yard, I'd probably need to do my projects in phases, and he gave me some good input into the order of things should happen. He followed up with a proposal that night, with each area separated so that I could see the price in phases. His guys came out a couple weeks later to install a fence. They were courteous and hardworking, but what I really loved is how they would hold each board up, and then flip it to see which side looked and fit better. They did a great job, and I also liked that they were here at nine, took a lunch break, and left by 3:30 to be back to the office by 5 each day. Since I already knew what I was paying, I wasn't worried about them racking up an hourly wage or anything, and to me this showed that the company cares that their workers get to have a life and they're not just rushed through each job, slapping up boards as fast as they can go. The results speak for themselves! I love my new fence! I can't wait for the other projects I've sign them up for.

Will Byrd was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in addressing our concerns. The primary project involved installing a 7-strand steel support cable in a large Western Red Cedar that we particularly wanted to preserve. Will also removed several large dead branches from another cedar, with only one additional hour of labor charged. He reduced the quoted price for an aerial inspection of our Giant Sequoia to $500, and his crew even cut several large ivy vines from another mature cedar in our forested area at no additional charge. The crew was professional, cleaned up thoroughly afterward, and took great care around our property. Considering the size of these trees and the work involved, we felt the pricing was very reasonable. We especially appreciated Will's emphasis on preserving our mature trees whenever possible rather than recommending unnecessary removals. We would not hesitate to use Arborists of America again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for knowledgeable, professional tree care.
