This place is nuts. Take that darn name seriously -- this is a flag store. I'm not sure what I expected from this place. I don't have much need for flags, but if I did, this is where I would head. They've got American flags, of course, in a near-absurd number of sizes, prices and qualities. State flags, international flags, military flags, sports teams' flags and decorative flags all find floor space here as well. This wouldn't be too shabby of a place to pick up an OSU banner, if that's you're sort of thing. Heck, the Flag Lady even has flag pins. Get that lapel ready. Handling many types of banners, from the triangular state symbol to the historical Gladsden Flag, the Flag Lady does her craft in a charming little store on High Street just north of Henderson Road. There is no parking on the High but there is a gravel lot in back. I came to spy the options they have for my parents who are hunting for a proper Buckeye banner to wave on their flagpole. ( Although with Saturdays result and the number of spoiled, fair weather fans in this town it may be worth it to check the various dumpsters up High Street for a free one.) Boy does this place have options; they have many different designs and styles to chose from. You can also suggest your own designs, they have the proper licensing being the place Brutus gets his flag with which he leads the football squad into the stadium. Though some designs have to be ok by the school. ( It can set the mind to wonder just what kind of ideas people come up with.) They have a program were you can bring faded flags ( American or Buckeye) and get 10-percent off; they know all the proper procedures to dispose of Old Glory. They also have on-line ordering. The Buckeye flags are American made with American materials; and they try their best to purchase American made goods for the other kinds of flags. There is so many styles of flags here that you should find what you need. The staff is really knowledgeable, friendly, and will help you out. The downside is price; where a box store would sell a prefab flag for 20- bucks, here a printed flag will run about $35, and a sewn flag around $45 for standard, and up to $45-$110 for even higher quality or designs. And it so goes the external battle of price versus quality. My advice is to find out which of those you favor beforehand. read more

Used to enjoy this place, my wife has been buying our flags here for years. Don't know what has happened but the prices are horrible compared to other places. and also customer service now sucks, it's nothing like it used to be 10 years ago when the old lady ran it. Flag Lady's is true to their namesake. It's a store of all things 'flag'. So if you happen to need a 'Welcome' flag, a flag with flowers on it, a Bennington flag, or perhaps a flag of Uzbekistan... Then this might be your place. The place overall feels old and patriotic. Unfortunately, the old and patriotic also means they can be old in their ways. I wouldn't come in here expecting to purchase a gay pride flag, which is slightly unfortunate as Columbus has one of the nations largest gay communities.. At least in the midwest. I love the Flag Lady Flag Store's concept I always have! I have never been in the brick and mortar store on High St. , I'm just not a shopper! Point and click is good for me. I do try to patronize LOCAL businesses when I can so this year when ordering my BLUE LINE flag replacement I thought of the Flag LadyUSA.com. I ordered a good sewn stripes/embroidered stars thin blue line flag and also ordered a nylon sewn stripes/ embroidered stars Betsy Ross flag. I also ordered a couple of blue line window stickers. I thought cool I'm spending my money locally , I only live maybe 10 miles at the most from the store It'll be great ! I ordered the stuff on 5/06/2021 ,my credit card was charged so I thought in 3-5 days my package will show up. Fast forward to 5/18/2021 - no flags, no emails, no nothing. I called the store and was told that because they didn't have the nylon version of the Betsy Ross flag ; the order was held up. The guy on the phone who acted like he hated his job; offered me a cotton version which I declined. I; the customer had to suggest that he ship the rest of the order and ship the BR flag when available. He agreed and said I should have it in a couple days. One point of this review is: How long would I have waited had I not called to check on the order? Point 2: Why was I not emailed with a status update on the order? Point 3- Other companies don't charge a customer's credit card until the order ships, FlagLadyUSA.com held my money for 12 days before I even called them. The owner of the store should note - if you are going to offer online shopping (like the big boys) then you must treat every order as a top priority! Ordered two USA flags kits with extra attachments, not all the parts came but could not get a response from the company. I've flown the flag for over a year and the flag has fringes at the end from the wind, (my other i had for 10 years without fringes), and the mechanism to prevent the flag from spinning at getting hung up doesn't work any better that any other flag pole, won't get a painted pole again because this pole has much of the paint scraped off at the holder end. i do take my flags in when stormy weather is expected or on very windy days but will generally keep my flag flying every day that i can. read more

When I lived in Clintonville, I always told myself I wanted to stop in here to see what was to offer as far as Ohio State Flags, but I never made! Two years later.... I made it in this past weekend and very pleased with the experience! My husband and I went it since it was game day and we decided we really needed to purchase that OSU flag we have been wanting and it needed to be nice. As we walked in we were immediately greeted. We spoke with the woman (Her name escapes me) the entire time we were in the store, it was great! She shared that they make all the Flags for Ohio State, etc. She talked to us about the most commonly purchased OSU flags and provided us with a ton of useful information. Also, when you purchase flags there, if they begin to tear, all you need to do is bring it back and they will fix it right up for you for free! It's a great place! I just can't say enough good things about The Flag Lady's Flag Store. I asked them to do a very intricate pattern, on an odd material in a short amount of time. No one else would even consider the project. The flag turned out beyond my imagination. It was perfect. Additionally, they were more responsive than any business I can remember dealing with. Because of the complexity, we needed a lot of communication. Every email I sent received a response within 5-10 minutes. This is the way businesses are supposed to be run. They have a license from Ohio State so if you want a Buckeye themed flag you will find it here. Service is very good when they are not busy but put five people in the store and you can get a full service meal and eat before you can get out their door. I bought my Gadsden flag here after hearing all the commercials on the local AM. I find it funny that this places claims to be so patriotic yet you can't buy a Confederate flag it you want one. It is a historical flag no different than any other, yet like so many other companies they feel they need to cave to these ridiculous and uneducated people and their agenda. They had a lot of stuff I would have liked to look through but unfortunately the woman working (owner?) saw my bumper sticker (dog rescue-related) and felt the need to tell me every horrifically depressing story she had of her time working for a vet. This place is awesome! I wanted to fly a US flag outside of our rented townhouse. I went to Meijer and I bought a 6' pole with a 3x5 flag. Too big and they didnt have smaller options. I went to Home Depot and bought a 2.5'x4' flag and it was still too small and didnt have smaller options. So in my frustration, I returned those and remembered The Flag Lady's Flag Store and her commercials. So I went over there and they had flags of various sizes and flavors. From USA to other countries, sports teams (especially the Buckeyes), police and fire, etc. I explained my issue to the employee and he fixed me up. He got me a 2'x3' flag with a 6' pole (but told me to only use 1/2 of the pole, the last one was too long). He also hooked me up with a plastic eagle for the top and bracket. I was kinda bummed he could not offer me mounting hardware (had to stop at the hardware store for stainless steel screws). When it was all said and done, I was kinda bummed at the price ($45.56 out the door) considering the kit at Meijer was $9.99 and the other flag at Home Depot was $19.00. The other bad thing is the parking lot in the back. It is small and I drive a full-size car. They are limited to 9 parking spaces and its tight. You have to turn down West Weisheimer Road and go down a small alley to park back there. Otherwise, now I have a US flag I can proudly fly in front of my house! Great service!! read more

If you're a rabid member of Buckeye Nation, there is no better place to outfit your garden or homestead with polyester Buckeye goods than at The Flag Lady's. As a matter of fact, the selection of OSU-themed flags might seem maniacal upon first impressions. Being an avid supporter of my alma mater, I decided to briefly entertain the idea of giving my front porch a little flare on gamedays, but after browsing most of the offerings in the store I was saddened when I realized that this was not within my budget. With the exception of a flag no larger than a pillowcase, I didn't see a single thing of worth on display that had a price tag under the $40 mark. The selection of MLB and NFL flags was impressive as well, but it was the same exact deal there as well. Maybe I don't know much about the flag-making industry, but this seemed to be at least twice what one should expect to pay for a piece of polyester with an emblem stitched on to it. Be warned, I suppose. Price aside, you'd be hard pressed to find a better selection of flags in this city. Like you'd ever be seeking that out in the first place. The Flag Lady also does custom flags, which I'm sure aren't cheap, but judging from a few of the examples that were proudly displayed in the annex next to the showroom, this is definitely a craft that they take seriously here. I have to admit I've never been to the store, although if I ever make it out to Columbus, I'll definitely stop in to visit. The organization I work for needed a couple of international flags on a very tight time-frame (within 4 business days - why they waited until last minute is anyone's guess) and Lori (the current owner) bent over backwards trying to make that happen for us. I found the store online and saw that it had both of the flags we needed, but the website said to call to place special request orders so I did and at first I spoke with Patricia who said we would probably need to have the flags overnighted, but then passed me over to Lori. Lori assured me the orders would make in with 2nd day shipping instead and she was right, we got the flags on Friday, the day before our event...with one tiny issue. There was some miscommunication/misunderstanding and we ended up receiving the wrong flag for one of the ones we needed so I panicked and called her back even though it was after business hours on a Friday and I knew she was leaving on vacation soon. Lori called me back that same evening, placed a new order for us, had it shipped overnight Saturday delivery, and we got the correct flag just in time for the event. She is so wonderful to work with and I can't emphasize enough how amazing the customer service is at Flag Lady USA. We will definitely be ordering from this store again the next time we need flags for any event. I can't speak highly enough of Lori and how prompt and helpful she is. I've purchased some hardware items from the Flag Lady over the phone. Agents were friendly and delivery was fairly quick. For those folks wishing to purchase a flag pole topper ornament however, be advised that the bolt attached to the ornament is not removable and you will have your work cut out for you if you need to shorten this bolt. an agent at Flag Lady misadvised me that the bolt was removable. I e-mailed this business explaining the hoops I had to jump through to adapt their product to my needs, and expected some sort of response, but none was given. Was not happy with this. read more

There is no one in the world like Mary and Lori! They love America and so do I! AND they love the Ohio State Buckeyes! My Mother bought our American flag that flew at our home at Mary's store many years ago and it finally fell apart about 10 years ago. I purchased a new one, along with an OSU Alumni flag and pole. I have to admit, I fly the OSU flag most of the time, but we have my father's flag from his funeral (he served in the U.S. Army) displayed in the beautiful triangle box in a prominent place in our home.
