Where in Utah is Lee today?!…read more The Smoked Salsa Guy traded the smoker for the motorcycle today. Sometimes you just need a little wind therapy. Today's ride took me north on Highway 89, past Ephraim, with a side trip to Spring City. If you've never been there, it's one of Utah's hidden gems--friendly people, small-town charm, and an artsy vibe that's worth exploring. Some of the best places in Utah aren't on the interstate... they're just a few miles off Highway 89. Lunch stop? Roots 89 Grill. Today's picks: Malibu Chicken Sandwich New York Wild Berry Cheesecake ice cream First bite? The Malibu Chicken Sandwich was hot, fresh, juicy, and topped with their famous Bird Sauce. Now I'm curious... What do you think is in Bird Sauce? It was simple, delicious, and exactly what I was hoping for. Then came dessert... a scoop of New York Wild Berry Cheesecake ice cream that was the perfect finish to a hot summer ride. Lee's Local Verdict: Is Roots 89 Grill worth the side trip to Spring City? Absolutely. Fast, friendly service, delicious food, and full street parking that tells you everything you need to know. If you're traveling Highway 89 north of Ephraim, take the short detour to Spring City and give Roots 89 Grill a try. I think you'll be glad you did. And if you stop by, tell them the "Where in Utah is Lee?" guy sent you! Ride safe... I'll see you somewhere in Utah. #WhereInUtahIsLee #SpringCityUtah #Roots89Grill #UtahEats #WorthTheRide #LiveToRide #RideToLive #MotorcycleLife #SmallTownUtah #WhereToNext

Hey this place is awesome. Great food, adequate portions, great service all at a very fair price…read more Our waitress kept my glass full and brought our food out promptly. The inside is nothing fancy but the seating is adequate and comfortable. The menu has a decent amount of variation so should be able to make anyone happy. I had the chicken tenders and they were really good. I am somewhat of an afficionado of the tender, and these were crispy, and flat, which is the best shape for a chicken tender. My wife had the Poboy and the shrimp were crispy, tender, and the bread was light, fluffy and a light, crispy crust. When we're back in Ephraim, we're coming here, so should you.

I don't recommend this butcher…read more First the lady at the desk is very rude. Talks with a harsh tone and down to you. This was my first time going to this butcher for my cow and I will never return. Online it says $.80lb for cut and wrap for hang weight and when I showed up they charged me $.96lb. When I acknowledged it's more than they said it's not our fault this is what we charge. Then when I requested my organs to my cow they said we just have to add the weight to the hang weight because it's not included and add the pounds. When I showed up they had a completely different price. A few almost $6 a pound. They said they get to keep the organs and sell them back to us at wholesale price. They claimed it's a law. I'm not sure if it is or not, though I don't understand why when I bought a full cow you take my cows organs and sell them back to me at a higher price. Also, I asked for 2lb packages of ground beef and the first two I ate both weighed 1.72lbs. I have bought many cows but never the size of this cow. The cow they cut for me was 40lbs heavier then my other cows cut by a different butcher and when I stocked my freezer it was significantly less meat then when I got a smaller cow. Usually I am sharing the meat with family because I have no more storage space. Doesn't make any sense. I have space for another 60-70lb of meat. They told me my cow would be ready in 3 weeks maybe 3.5 weeks. 2 days shy of a month I had to call to ask where my meat is and they said it will be ready in a day. A lot of inconsistencies with this butcher, no accountability to their miscommunication and inconsistency, don't quote accurate timing and I feel they stole some of my beef. I attached a screen record video of their site showing the info and my calendar on my phone showing you today's date. Also a copy of my invoice I paid for complete transparency.
