This review is long overdue but I really did want to wait until my anniversary, which was yesterday 10/27/19. Anyway, I don't really like to eat cakes because the ones I've tasted are either too dry or too sweet. Sometimes, I just don't like the flavor. Originally, I wanted to just have a 2-tier cake and cupcakes for my wedding just to fulfill the tradition of having a wedding cake and for the pictures. However, my whole thought process of having a cake changed when I went to taste test the different cake flavors with Tiffany at Fizz Bakery... I was blown away after my first bite! Fizz bakery offers more than 10 flavor combinations and their cakes have the right amount of sweetness. The cakes are not too dry and not too soggy either. As Goldilocks would say, "it's just right!" I brought my sister with me during the cake test and even she enjoyed the experience. Lol I ended up choosing a variety of flavors for my cupcakes, all with the same simple decoration. As for my 2-tier cake, I was very specific at how I wanted my cake to look. I showed Tiffany different pictures of different cakes, hoping she could create something I had already pictured in my head. I was super excited when I saw my cake at my venue because she made my wedding cake exactly how I pictured it!! I couldn't be more happier! My guests loved the cake and the cupcakes too! This bakery is beyond amazing!!! The staff are amazing and so friendly. I came in back in March, to order a cake for my nieces 1st birthday party. The theme was Finding Dory, which is her absolute favorite movie. They designed a cake that was far beyond what I could've imagined, and it was delicious... And also affordable (worth every dollar)!!! They even made a little smash cake for my niece. I got so many compliments on the design and the taste of the cake!!! Ok now I finally I got sugar fix here. I ordered my 50th birthday cake which was a naked strawberry shortcake. It had tasty cookies and chocolate dip strawberries that were super good. I also have smores cupcakes which my guess raved about, lemon cupcakes and red velvet. I only had the birthday cake. The cupcakes came up missing in all my guests tummies. For some reason the pretzel sticks who has put under the table. I gave them out at the end of the party and they were really tasty too. I was able to give Tiffany my vision along with photos through Yelp messages and she did exactly what I asked for. Once I get the photos back from the photographer I will post some. Where do I start... first off thank you Tiffany! She was very professional and nice during the whole cake purchasing process. This was my first time ever purchasing a nice cake and it was for my mom's 50th surprise bday party... I had no clue where to start. I originally started to go to Frosted Flour in Lodi but when I went I was totally brushed off by the OWNER who was not very helpful at all and to be honest left a little discouraged but then a good friend of mine recommended to go to fizz bakery. Tiffany was very helpful! I was nervous and unsure what type of cake to get for my moms special day plus living in Oakland and not being able to try samples left me unsure. I tried to order my father's 50th birthday cake a month in advanced and got ghosted with no explanation in the middle of discussing the order. If I did something incorrectly, I will never know, because they never replied back. This and other attempts to order things from them before that particular instance have been frustrating. When they've been booked in the past, they've offered to do the cake the night before (which worked out for me- the cake remained fresh and nice).
