So this Zoning option upsold by the so called Comfort specialist Marco was a complete money grab and it was like throwing down money down the drain and into the coffers of John Adams. The extra work and the delay in installation was because of change in furnace a decision made by Adams based on non availability of the agreed upon unit at the time of install and the lack of accurate measurements by their comfort specialist - Marco-- all of which was their fault. They could have pre ordered the agreed upon unit or measured the attic space correctly. Somehow Adams takes pride in extra work they did which was a direct result of their own incompetence and lack of due diligence before the installation. I was never happy with the delay and was livid during installation and had expressed my frustration to Marco and installation team and even spoke with the service manager and expressed my displeasure the day of the installation as we had to sleep in the home without a functioning AC . So Adams and their installation team could not fit the unit in the attic space since they didn't know how much space was required for the unit and who was responsible for measuring the Attic space prior to install - one MARCO FERREIRA !! This is like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand was doing.. If Marco had measured the Attic space correctly than the delay would have not happened and also there was no need to reconfigure the attic space and extra work Adams seems to take a misplaced sense of pride.. So you don't do the due diligence and prep work and that causes the delay and result in doing the extra work and customer not having a functioning AC overnight and somehow the business takes pride in this botched installation.. Bravo !! So Marco or team who is responding to the review conveniently leaves out the detail about not measuring correctly the attic space and prep work that could have prevented the extra work and delay all of which was their own fault and doing... They also overcharge way more than average price for their service contracts and find certain parts such as Air Switches etc that needs to be replaced and overcharge for the installation. I will not recommend this business to anyone in Charlotte as there are plenty of honest HVAC providers out there.

Two weeks or so ago, my water heater went out. I have a home warranty through HWA, who paired me with CPM to diagnose my problem. Unfortunately, the appt. was scheduled for a week out from when the water heater went out. I called CPM and was greeted warmly by a rep. I inquired if there was an earlier time available, she checked and stated my current appt. date was the earliest, but she would follow-up and call me back. She kept her word and contacted me to confirm that unfortunately it was the earliest. In addition, the next day, I received another call form a rep at CPM who stated they tried to see what they could move around to assist me earlier, but unfortunately, my current appt. time was the earliest they could come out. I was impressed that they tried although it didn't work in my favor. On the day of my appt, John, one of their plumbers, came out and represented the company very well. He was knowledgeable, took the time to answer all my questions, and gave me advice. Above all, he was friendly, compassionate, and empathetic towards my situation. He submitted his report to HWA in a timely manner and within an hour on the same day, we had an approval for a water heater replacement. Less than 48 hours later, I had an appt. set for the install. Due to this positive experience, I kept my fingers crossed he would be assigned again for my replacement. Thankfully, he was, and my install went smoothly without incident. Based off this experience, CPM will be the first company I recommend to those who need plumbing services. When you have an incident in your home that affects your quality of life, it creates a high level of stress. CPM helped to ease the frustration by providing exemplary customer service.

When I asked for more details, he couldn't 1) identify the specific permits, 2) estimate how much they would cost, or 3) promise to provide these permit documents after they were purchased. Said they installed multiple dampers and changed the duct runs on at least three of the runs. Said he would came back next week if necessary to tweak things. Paid him in full via check. Said he would email me a receipt. No receipt. Won't return phone calls or texts. Dampers don't appear to have been installed as air is still gushing out (others have told me that dampers could not be placed on those ducts), and the airflow to the far side of the house has gotten worse. Checked NC website to verify his HVAC license; can't find anything. Checked to verify the business name/LLC, can't find anything.

He was unable to explain and instead dismissed my questions by saying the washer was old. I followed up by calling the company directly and asked how the same part for a 2004 washer could be found online for around $200. The supervisor responded that they purchase parts from a "reputable website." When I explained that the part I found was an OEM part from a reputable source, no explanation was given for the significant price difference. I then requested to speak with a manager, owner, or someone higher up, but was repeatedly told that no one was available. At no point was a clear diagnosis, justification, or cost breakdown provided. This experience gave the impression that the company assigns inflated, arbitrary prices without being able to clearly explain the root cause of the issue or justify their diagnosis--yet expects customers to blindly trust them. After reading other reviews, I noticed a consistent pattern of similar complaints. At this point, it's clear the issue is not the customers.
