I have been trying to go to the Fixaphone for several days. Every single day I get there they are always closed atleast 20 minutes early. I get so frustrated when they do this since I can only go at a specific time, and that's later in the day. Also I read plenty of other reviews that say this place is absolutely terrible. This place is a complete rip off. They charged my daughter over $300 to fix her phone. The touch screen lasted about 3 weeks. Went back to have it fixed again, it's under warranty, they said it's cracked. It is cracked on the inside not the outside. They checked it for impact and could not determine if it had a hard impact. They want another $130 to replace the screen again because the warranty doesn't cover a cracked screen. The screen is cracked on the inside. I said it must have been damaged when they installed the new screen but the goof said that was impossible. How does a screen get cracked on the inside? I told this so called technician, that I've seen screens completely broken and still work. I'm going to report them to the better business bureau. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS REPAIR SHOP! read more

They got me for 100.00 dollars first and last time I'll ever go there. called and asked if they could Fix my sons switch. they said yes and gave it back to me a week later still broken and charged me. So I took it back they said they would fix kept it for over 6 months told me it was fixed after multiple conversations with owner. Said it was a problem on the Nintendo side of thing and they sent him a new mother board. Called told me to come and get it. My sister in law was referred to this place to fix her laptop in Feb 2023. She doesn't drive so i took her to drop it off. We are over an hour each way to drive so he said he would ship it back to us for around 20.00. after 4 months of phone calls every few days and his lies that the factory sent the wrong parts even though he let it slip he was etching the connectors which wouldn't need a part from the manufacturer, he said he had shipped it. we call after several days and he says it came back as wrong address. he said he would try again. same thing. My wife drove her to pick it up and it still wasn't fixed. He is a liar and a thief. I have never seen a business act like this and I see we aren't the only people he does this to. DO NOT GO HERE. Fix A Fone? $53 for a battery change? IPhone still didn't work. Why so expensive. I asked Trevor.. Because "batteries often get mangled when they are replaced". Um, ok. Still didn't boot. I took my granddaughters tablet into the fix-a-phone Chillicothe Ohio on Oct 4th 2021. To have the charging port replaced. Had to wait on parts. When they did get the part they fried the table. I have been given the run around for 6 MONTHS. They finally gave me back the original tablet. Which is no good. Said they credited me a refund of the $85.79. Which I never received. Filing small claims. Don't know how people sleep at night with the lies. read more

If I could give less than a 1 star rating, I would.' This is the worse business that I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They had my phone for nearly 9 mos. Took it in for a charging issue...After several weeks, I was told that it needed a new battery and Ryan Guaranteed that was the problem, which it wasn't. After 3 mos I was told phone kept failing and Ryan offered to replace the phone, which after 3 supposed attempts, never happened. I then asked to be reimbursed for the phone instead of replacing it and I was told that was approved, but that never happened either. I asked for proof that it was approved for reimbursement and could never even get that by mail or in person. I eventually contacted BBB and Attorney General's office because I could not keep listening to the lies. He told the Attorney General's office that I abandoned the phone. I asked why he told that to the Atty Gen Office and he said because it's been here for 8 mos, as if I had just left the phone there and dozens and dozens of phone calls had not been made. Only then did he give my phone back. He certainly didn't seem to care that I didn't have a cell phone was beyond inconvenient and frustrating. If you couldn't fix the phone, why not just give it back to me in the beginning and be upfront with me instead of repeatedly lying? He says all the things that you want to hear but never follows through on anything. I've never had someone from a business lie as much as Ryan. Please do your research before you bring your phone or other device to this store. I brought in an iPhone 7+ to have a cracked screen replaced - it cost $175 wow! - and in the process they broke my proxy, which means all calls can only be by speaker phone. About every 48 hours I've talked to someone promising the repair part is "going to be here" and now after 9 days the part is still on "back order". No fix or ETA in sight. Feeling very powerless. I don't know how common this poor service is but my experience with Fix-a-Phone has been terrible. read more

Picked this place to have my phone repaired because they said they could have it repaired the very next day- it needed a new screen from dropping and cracking the glass. They were double the price of everywhere else I called (and an hour and a half away) but for having it done a day quicker than all other repair shops could was worth the money since I cannot work without having my phone (I do not have a backup phone to put my sim card in either.) The phone also had sentimental things on it that were not yet backed up so paying more for a repair than I paid for the phone brand new nearly 2 years ago was worth it to me rather than just buying a new phone. Went in the next evening as discussed (another 3 hour trip) to pick up the phone and they hadn't even started on it. Waited while he rushed to repair it and then he brought it to me. I go home and briefly saw the screen looked fine but the battery was at 2% so I put it on the charger and went to bed very happy to have my phone with a new screen! Next morning, I'm getting ready for work and go to log into my work account and the fingerprint security feature was completely gone. I do not mean it just wasn't working, it literally was showing it wasn't even a feature on my phone anymore. So, I dial the number for fixaphone and guess what? Nobody can hear me. I make other calls hoping it was just their phone... Nope! So, I drive another 3 hour round trip again to Chillicothe- he says it was a defective screen and he already ordered another (and made it very clear he paid so much to have it overnighted even though they did the same the night before without mentioning it was "super expensive") it would be in the next morning. Pick it up again the next day (another 3 hour trip) and it is the same screen (what happened to that "very expensive" new screen??) but I see the fingerprint sensor is different (I can tell because it is very blue now when it used to be black matching my all black phone before.) So this time, I make a phone call before leaving the store even though the guy said he already made a test call just like the first time and surprise! Still nobody can hear me. So, he now says they will look at it first thing Monday- another 2 more days. Picked it up Monday evening (yet another 3 hour round trip!) and everything was working finally. They ended up having my phone for 6 days instead of 2 and I couldn't work the entire time. Apparently, if you do not take the back of this phone off carefully, you will ruin the fingerprint sensor (nothing at all to do with the screen!) Makes sense that since he rushed so much the first day to fix it after it was supposed to be ready, he wasn't careful enough causing 2 other things to break. Not sure what happened with the speaker issue but why lie and blame a defective screen when I will see it is the same original replacement screen and the other parts are now new? I understand things happen- I really do. When people lie though, that I have zero sympathy for. They lied and blamed a defective screen while trying to make me feel bad about how he spent soooo much money having another screen overnighted, and the screen is clearly fine as I am using it right this second. Also, I made clear to them the speaker problem and the fingerprint problem. Why would you not check those 2 issues before trying to send a phone back with a customer (2 more times!) claiming that you already checked it and it worked??? I would not go back here again nor would I ever recommend to anybody to go there. When people are that blatantly dishonest, it is hard to tell what all could happen to customers. Fortunately for me, my phone was repaired back to working order after a stressful, expensive week. Others might not be that "lucky". Honestly goes a long way. I've essentially given Fixaphone of Chillicothe a 7-month interest-free loan to only be given back my phone (non-working) and a USB drive without my files that I paid over $200 for. I've rearranged my schedule and wasted many trips driving into Chillicothe specifically to pick this up. I've wasted a lot of time and energy reaching out to them when they should've been communicating with me about the status of things instead of promising it would be done then leaving me hanging. I feel like I have been patient and understanding with COVID and different excuses that have been given as to why I have been so disregarded and inconvenienced but things like this can only happen so much before a person believes that they are being abused by a business they have hired to perform a service for them. Nearly every week (sometimes multiple times within a week) I'm given promises of having things ready only to be either A). put off because of some excuse; or B). ignored and all communication dropped completely until the following week. This is not professional, considerate, or honest. I would NEVER recommend Fixaphone. read more

In June of 2017, I dropped an essentially new Google Pixel XL (purchased straight from Google for $825 in February of 2017) off at this place for a repair of a damaged charging port. The manager said it would be about two or three days until it was fixed, only because they had to order a new charging port, which they didn't have in store. I took my Samsung s4 in just before thanksgiving (nov, 2018) because the I'd broken the screen and couldn't use the phone. I had important files on there, which was the only reason we were wiling to pay $160 to fix it. I was given an estimate of a few days, saying it would be done before thanksgiving. I gave them my boyfriends cell, my email, and eventually the number to my new cell phone to contact me. not once have we received any communications whatsoever. I went in person every week or two and called asking for updates, and always got the same response. Eventually I forgot I ever even gave them the damn phone, it had been SOOOOOOO long ago with not a peep from their end. Took my phone in to get the screen replaced. YES they did fix the screen! There was what appeared to be a burnt out pixel. I told one of the owners and he stated that it was my battery and it would eventually pop my screen back off. He said if they did it when it was apart it would have been $30 and they he is trying to teach them that they need to inform the customer of this issue before putting it back together. Anyway a long with having to eventually taking it apart again to fix an issue that should have already been taking care of. siri doesn't work and my speaker phone wont work either. seems like I shouldn't have kept the crack in my screen and my phone would have been working like it was supposed to do.The employees are super nice and professional but other than a couple problems I had with my service. read more

The following was sent via email. April 4, 2018 My IPad has been in for repair at Chillicothe, Ohio FixAPhone since March 5 2018. I have talked numerous times with the Store Manager Ryan. The IPad would not charge was the issue. I have been getting excuses after excuses for 30 days. I was told the IPad was put in the safe and then the safe would not open so a locksmith was coming to open the safe to get the IPad out. I was told the IPad was repaired 2 days prior to the safe incident and Ryan thought that I had been called that it was fixed. I was not called. 2 weeks later My IPad was out of the safe however the repair is not complete. I do not want to have to deal with Ryan the Store Manager anymore. I asked for his supervisors name and phone number and he advised to send an email to support@fixaphone.com and Mike would respond. Sent the email and still waiting to hear from someone. I called another store and the lady took my name and phone number and said she would give it to her boss, telling them I wanted to talk to someone in Corporate. I would like for someone to contact me and help me resolve this issue. I have concerns that the repairs tried may have damaged my IPad. UPDATE: April 5, 2018 The IPad is charged to about 80% when checked 10 minutes ago. Is being charged on 5 watt charge instead of the usual 15 watt fast charge since repair work was done to the charging system. So the frustration continues. Have not been contacted by anyone from Support@fixaphone.com nor Owners@fixaphone.com regarding my emails. The stores I called are not associated with the Chillicothe store and WOULD not provide me with someone to call to voice my complaint nor assist in this matter. read more
