Highly recommended!…read more I originally brought my bike (with a flat rear tire) to another bike shop in Islands Brygge not knowing if I needed just the tube replaced or both the tire and tube replaced. They quoted me over 350kr without even looking at my bike and sent me away. Turns out, I have a special type of tire that they don't carry so they weren't able to service my bike. I came to Islands Brygge Cykler for a second opinion and what I got was an honest opinion and great service. The gentleman there actually looked at my tire and personally plucked out the tiny shards of glass that were stuck in my wheel and upon his inspection, stated that it didn't need replacement. He installed a new tube for me right then and there. He even showed me some potential problem areas with wear/drying on my tires but assured me that I'd be fine for the time being but would eventually need replacement in the future. I really appreciated his honesty and he was super duper nice as well. I will definitely return to them if I have any more repairs and recommend them to friends/family!

Although they couldn't diagnose the grinding on the spot, they did do a general look over and told me a few things wrong. I had the bike back a few days later, in great shape, and just 165 kr short. Very helpful and friendly staff.

These guys literally saved my Ass on my recent trip to Copenhagen so I am giving them 5 Stars!…read more Here is what happened: Stupid David forgot his padded bike shorts--he didn't actually forget them, he intentionally left them out to save room in his carry-on figuring that he will just be casually riding bikes around the city--not a big 100 mile race/ride. David does not bring his bike shorts to the bike riding capital of the world! How silly ridiculous is that? It's like intentionally leaving the tickets home for a concert. Guess what? Those street bikes they rent you at the hotel and shared street rentals will rip up your Butt in no time at all. I was in pain!! I could not ride the next day--it was ugly like never before. I can't even describe here what was going on. I had to find some shorts ASAP to keep this trip going. So I Googled padded bike shorts and this store came up. It was not too far from the city center so I cycled my hurting sorry ass over here to see if they had the shorts advertised ($400 DKK, $60 US). I enter the store and tell the man my story of how I left the USA without bike shorts to ride bikes all over Copenhagen and my butt is killing me after just one day! I need help! He goes right to the shelf where the shorts are and says I don't see it here anymore the sale may have sold it out. He says let me check the back. He thankfully finds my size in the back in an unopened box and they don't have a try on room so he takes me in a cluttered business office to try them on and closes the door. I sat down on a desk chair to take my shoes off. I wore them out of the store, he had to cut the tag off the back part while I had them on, and it saved my Butt (and me) the rest of the trip. The pad was so thick in these shorts they even helped sitting on the hard chair in the Hop on and Off tour buses, Canal Cruise, and the Metro seats. I chatted for a while with the very knowledgeable salesman/technician who had many years in the bike business and he directed me on the Bike route to Tivoli--my next stop. Life was a lot easier now. OMG I love these guy--they saved my trip.

While waiting you can have something hot to drink or cool water, and use they free WiFi. Beside quality bikes they sell all kinds of equipment for bikes and bikers. It is also possible to borrow tools, if you are up to the repair on your own. They hang just outside the repair shop by the door.

The shown owner has sold his shop. Nevertheless, the business number in the text exists (32 19 12…read more15). This is his private number. It is really great to contact somebody who tells me, that "we (!) have three shops now" and the new owner tells me that he bought the shop from Bernhard and he is out since long time. Networking today is very important. The question is, what can one expect for 100DKK a day as bicycle? I got a bike that was very old (no problem) with not existing bearings in one pedal (no problem, I am a sporty guy) and a overtightened steering wheel bearing (also no problem: It is a bit strange to drive, because there is a latch at several positions. But if you hold your stem and don't drive freehand, you soon get used to it.) So, if you are to demanding, this rental might be nothing for you.

Mohammed is the friendliest bike man around. My trusty black Mustang (never knew the brand before)…read moretook me over town comfortably and reliable, and was outfitted with a lock, head and rear detachable lights for night cruising around Copenhagen, and very comfortable saddle (seat) for which he also provided a removable rain cover, ample and HANDY front basket, and a rear rack for added finds during your cruises. Price was right, and Mohammed set me up with "perfekt" adjustment of the seat and allowed me to test drive my ride to check brakes & the 3-speed gear change before leaving his shop to get around town. Plus, he has great English. Super nice guy! PS...if you ask, I'll bet he can outfit you a REAR VIEW MIRROR...no one else renting does and it's REALLY good for heads-up on the inevitable very fast rider(s) passing you on the left of sometimes rather narrow bike lane.
