David does not bring his bike shorts to the bike riding capital of the world! How silly ridiculous is that? It's like intentionally leaving the tickets home for a concert. Guess what? Those street bikes they rent you at the hotel and shared street rentals will rip up your Butt in no time at all. I was in pain!! I could not ride the next day--it was ugly like never before. I can't even describe here what was going on. I had to find some shorts ASAP to keep this trip going. So I Googled padded bike shorts and this store came up. It was not too far from the city center so I cycled my hurting sorry ass over here to see if they had the shorts advertised ($400 DKK, $60 US). I enter the store and tell the man my story of how I left the USA without bike shorts to ride bikes all over Copenhagen and my butt is killing me after just one day! I need help! He goes right to the shelf where the shorts are and says I don't see it here anymore the sale may have sold it out. He says let me check the back. He thankfully finds my size in the back in an unopened box and they don't have a try on room so he takes me in a cluttered business office to try them on and closes the door. I sat down on a desk chair to take my shoes off. I wore them out of the store, he had to cut the tag off the back part while I had them on, and it saved my Butt (and me) the rest of the trip. The pad was so thick in these shorts they even helped sitting on the hard chair in the Hop on and Off tour buses, Canal Cruise, and the Metro seats. I chatted for a while with the very knowledgeable salesman/technician who had many years in the bike business and he directed me on the Bike route to Tivoli--my next stop. Life was a lot easier now. While waiting you can have something hot to drink or cool water, and use they free WiFi. Beside quality bikes they sell all kinds of equipment for bikes and bikers. It is also possible to borrow tools, if you are up to the repair on your own. They hang just outside the repair shop by the door.

We agreed they will call if they find something else they consider it should be also fixed. 3 days later I got the notification by SMS the bike was ready, but to my surprise they had changed some extra things and wanted to charged me 570 DKK! That sounds for me very unprofessional, reaching the level of almost scam! I said I won´t paid for that extras we did agreed a calling me if case it was something more. We paid 110 dkk and 80 dkk for the luxury and meshed gear bikes since those were the only available for us. Had a great time riding around town would come again!

I did not know how much the crank bracket would cost but I thought it was really expensive, given that my bike is already 9 years old. After some hesitation, as to whether I should get my bike repaired or threw it, I decided to get it repaired (as I loved it). After about 3h, I got a sms saying my bike was ready for pickup. I came back and picked up and the shop owner offered to take 500kr instead of his earlier asking of 600kr. I thanked him for this, though I was not sure if my repaired cost was high or low.

He always puts out the bikes on the days he is open, and is very good at turning around bikes quickly. I have been there 3 times, and he is always very kind and eager to help.
