My wife and I had done couples therapy previously but found that we didn't get much out of it. And I - very fortuitously - happened to come across Hedy. And - six months later - our experience has been terrific. Hedy has a process and framework that she uses to analyze and probe our relationship and past history which has been extremely different from our prior experience that just seemed more of the standard therapy that we had become accustomed to. While I initially had a little trepidation about the 100-minute sessions, I've found that they're helpful to really delve into certain aspects of our relationship and respective histories that help to provide perspective. I'm someone who is typically pretty rigid and analytical, and she's helped me to see our relationship - and in particular my behavior within it - in an entirely different way. And it's been so eye-opening and refreshing to get this other perspective as I absolutely don't think I would've reached this stage on our own. Is my relationship repaired? No, it's only been six months, and we have a lot of healing to do. But Hedy has helped provide a lot of the building blocks for a healthier relationship.
