Please find a different company! I'm seriously writing this to look out for you…read more Here's the short form, the company's constantly breaching the employment standards act for BC, not only that but they are definitely anything but professional. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There's some major issues within the company they hire without any proper interview nor do they make you sign any forms. They do not pay their workers well and offer no overtime. They also threaten workers with pay deductions. They also fish for reviews constantly. Not only that they will quiet fire employees. Also note they do not provide workers with any formal training or proper handling techniques. Drivers are hired without their drivers abstract being reviewed or even proof of a class 5 license. The company promises unrealistic quotes on work, and will purposefully withhold items until payment is received. If something is broken their first thought is to attempt to hide it as best they can to avoid giving you a discount or resolving the matter properly. Also note if you do find damage to your property the manager will actively make it difficult for you and try to evade your questions and a proper discount. Allegedly within their contracts they say that you must write a good review (despite if they did a terrible job) of the company or they will attempt to charge you. The workers themselves are none the wiser so it's not worth taking your frustrations out of them most of the time they'll get reprimanded if the customer is difficult. Again PLEASE do find a different company and if you must use this one I urge you to be very skeptical and read everything of the contract.

I contacted cody for a moving quote earlier this month, and I noticed how he sounded like he was on…read moremedication that made his thinking really unclear and slow as he sounded very out of it, and as well he kept speaking over top of me and asking me to repeat myself. after he took all of my content and location information he said " i am not in the office now I will have to send you a quote tomorrow morning. " by 11am the next morning I received no quote, so I called cody again and he sounded like he was sleeping or like he was doped up and drugs. he said he will email me the quote by 2 pm that day. 2 pm went by and I did not receive a quote from him so I texted him at 4 pm. Nothing So I went to a concert that night, and came home at 11:30 am and there was no quote from cody. So I texted him with an appropriate piece of my mind, and explained to him how he made himself look blatantly unreliable and that I would never hire him or his father's company nor would I recommend papas moving to a friend or to anyone. cody was ridiculously unprofessional. I highly do NOT recommend relying on or hiring pappas moving.

FYI, Jacob and Alonso were amazing!…read more Where do I begin...I paid for a move into one of their lockers for a month. Then they were to bring my belongings to my new place Jan. 2022. They arrived late after letting me know to be there at 10am because 'the guys like to start early', they were 1 1/2 hours late because they had to fill up the truck (on my time). They left after dropping off my stuff and I quickly began to realize that I was missing a bunch of boxes and two shelving units, plus one of the shelves to my lovely hutch. I contacted and spoke with Andrew Foster about locating my belongings, he said, 'he was working on it and he'd have the guys look again in my locker'. I received a text from Andrew with a photo of my family's old truck which one of the items I was so upset about having it 'misplaced'...I was thrilled. But they were still trying to locate all my stuff, so they were going to 'tear a wall down in the warehouse to find the rest?! I learned that when they can't fit everything into the locker, they store it in the warehouse and separate it with 'walls', 'you know moving blankets' he said. What? I paid for a locker, why didn't anyone tell me this or at the very least, make a note on my file as to where they put my other belongings? "They forgot" The remainder of my items were found, 'in his office in an alcove' or something! Finally the 2nd load of my belongings were dropped off and left outside under the cover of deck. So I alone had to move all those boxes and two shelving units into my place. (I have arthritis in my back and Fibromyalgia, I am on disability), no offer was made and still no compensation for this trouble and added stress. Once I had pulled all the boxes in the house, I began to go through them. One of the last boxes I went through was one of my bathroom boxes, the minute I opened it, it was very clear that a rodent had eaten through the box and everything was covered in rodent droppings. I moved it outside and emailed Andrew, both myself and my friend and advocate messaged him because at this point I was livid. He blamed me and said I shouldn't have packed food in my bathroom box (of course I didn't). He distracted the conversation with comments like, 'in all my 15 years of business no one has ever made a claim' and 'I have never know our warehouse to have a rodent problem'. Like I must have made all of this up. He was sent photos, my quote stating I paid for a locker as well as 2 moves. He has refused to pay for any of my items ruined in that rat box. That's the only thing I was seeking, that some of my damaged items be replaced. These items were ruined from not being stored in a locker. I can not afford to replace these items, being on disability and not working at the moment. Just a terrible way to conduct business. I understand that mistakes happen, but how you deal with those mistakes, speaks volumes about the business and the integrity of the owner.

We provided moving blankets but they didn't even use them. Andrew, the owner has said he could come to an agreement by sending us an e-transfer of $50. Totally disgusting.

Charged $800.00 over the estimate. Payment was by a credit card that was rarely used. Found out that the card was used by fraud to book rooms in Abbotsford and Coquitlam. It was a two-parter: half my belongings into storage before showing the place, and the rest after selling. The first move went well; the movers were efficient and organized and took good care of my things. They arrived at each of the three drops before I did and handled everything professionally and in a friendly way. One was an owner. The second move was frustrating and upsetting. The movers took a break without communicating to me where they were going but simply disappeared. They left grease marks on my carpet with the cart wheels, showed up at each drop 10 minutes after I did, and broke the legs of my antique desk, a family heirloom, by dragging it across carpet instead of picking it up. Worst, they packed my storage locker with no room to enter or move, and with all the furniture at the front/entrance. If I could move furniture, I would have done the move myself! When I reported my concerns, I received a fairly prompt response. After a conversation with the owner who had been present for the first move, I felt confident things would be resolved. He offered to come to my storage locker with a second mover and reorganize it; to assess the damage to the desk and either repair it himself or recommend someone and cover the cost; and to compensate me for the movers' downtime during the second move. But he has now postponed doing these things two weeks running, and when I asked for a commitment to a date and time, I did not hear back. I spent close to $1800 on a 1BD apt move and whereas I started out prepared to recommend the company, I'm now frustrated and afraid I've been left with problems of someone else's making that I am going to have to pay more to solve. I want the resolution of these issues to be made a priority for Jiffy Move, and to have a committed date and time for that resolution to happen.
