Cowboys in Eminence, KY…read more My husband and I have been buying our gas here for 12 years. The owners and the owner's family are generally very nice. At 7:25PM. On 10/25/2022 I went there to gas up. There was no sign hung anywhere and no indication whatsoever ever that the gas pumps were not working. We pulled up to a pump and put my debit card in. The pump had no response at all. So we backed up to the pump behind us to get our gas at that pump. Same thing no response at all. But I got a notice on my phone that they had taken every single penny out of my account, leaving me at zero dollars. I went inside to get help. The girl working was someone I had never seen before and she was rude as hell. She was very rude about how she talked to me. She had a snotty tone of voice like she was just annoyed with customers interrupting whatever she was doing on her phone, she said,"none of our pumps are working" and she was pretty crass about the way she said it. I said," well your pumps still took every penny out of my account." She said," well that's not my problem, your money is on hold and it will take 15 to 24 hours for it to go back on your account." I said," how do they put over $130 hold on a person's card for $20 worth of gas?" "Also I don't have 15 to 24 hours." "I need to go home now and there isn't enough gas in my car to get me home." "Now on top of that I have zero dollars in my account because of an extremely large hold put on my card for a small amount of gas." I said," it would be courteous if you would hang a sign telling your customers that the pumps aren't working." She said," I'm not allowed to." I said," who won't allow you to?" She said," the owners." The whole time she is being rude. I said," tell the owner that this is a poor business practice. She said get out of the store now. Just leave, you aren't welcome here. Do they always allow the employees to talk to their customers like that? No wonder they only have a 2 Star rating. I had to get my daughter to let me borrow money until they put my money back on my card. Just so I could go home. I will not be doing business there ever again. Unless the owners do something about that sad business practice, taking way too much money on hold for a small gas purchase and rude employees who know nothing at all about customer service. I taught classes on customer service to hotel managers for a couple of years and this girl would definitely never have passed a class. Let me educate you on how to handle this type of situation. I know how to do it because, as a manager of a hotel, I had to do it many times. First you call your credit card vender. You explain to them the situation and request they release the customer's money back to them so that the customer can have the money they need to get home. Your vender is going to charge your business a couple of dollars to do this, but is it really worth it to lose thousands of dollars in sales simply because you don't want to eat it on a lousy $3 transaction fee? If you think it is, then that might be why you only have a two rating.

This was a convenient location to fuel up, grab lunch, purchase snacks, and use the restroom…read more After filling our gas tank, we went inside for food. I wanted Subway, the slightly healthier option, and my husband chose McDonald's. While he used the app to place his order, I stood at the counter to order my sub. There was a young lady there who greeted us with a smile and overheard me asking my husband what day of the week it was. She immediately knew I was checking to see what "The Meal Deal of the Day" was. It was the Hot Honey Pepperoni. She went to the back to let the Sandwich Artists know that they had a customer. The two young men emerged from the back with a lack of enthusiasm but came over to glove-up and help me. I asked for the Turkey Titan on wheat. They were out of wheat bread, so I chose the Herb & Cheese bread and asked for the rounded end to be cut off. He repeated my request slowly in the form of a question, so I explained what I meant. He must have never received that request before. I also asked for mayo on the bread, rather than on the meat, which is what they usually do. Lastly I requested that my 6" sub be cut in half. He completed my sub and slid it into a bag with no napkins, so I retrieved some myself. Then we moved into the convenience store area and grabbed some 2/$3 small cans of Pringles, a couple bottles of Calypso fruit drinks, and I couldn't resist the overpriced gas station Tornado (Southwest Chicken & Cheese). It was $2.99. Had I known that, I would not have purchased it. After using the restroom, my husband and I went over to McDonald's to pick up his order. The timing was perfect. As soon as we walked up, they handed him the order.
