The prices are moderate and not the cheapest but you do get what you are paying for. Crazy you would think... But there's method in his madness! They serve some of the best fish and chips in the whole of South Wales, and so are worth all of the effort that we make! They do other food, (burgers, pizza and kebabs etc.), but I can't vouch for these as I have only ever bought the fabled fish and chips! They don't deliver, which never used to be an issue. But, ever since the council implemented the one way system, the business has been adversely affected. Trade is down, especially during the day according to Tariq, the extremely friendly manager. Luckily Clifton Fish Bar has been going for about twenty years and has earned itself a great reputation, and so it will definitely be one of the many fast food outlets on this street that will survive come what may!

This is actually probably the nearest fish and chip shop to where I live, however due to the excellence that Five Star (Station Road) and the good reputation of Top Gun, until recently I'd never even been to Victoria Fish Bar. The food in my opinion is pretty average, in particular I really wasn't that keen on the fish. The staff on the other hand were incredibly friendly and chatty and I almost come back purely due to them. What is special about this place though, is that it's one of the only Fish and Chip shops which is open on a Sunday. So whilst from Monday to Saturday I'd recommend going somewhere else, if you find yourself on a Sunday with a desperate craving for Fish and Chips, you know just where to go.
