Lady "that's okay" The above exchange took place after the lovely gentleman working here was advising me on the herbs and various products they carry. He also saw me taking pictures and there was no opposition from him. I even took pics of products at the cash register in plain view of other members of staff. Maybe the lady didn't appreciate free advertising and the glowing exchange I was gonna give Detoxx Bar because prior to this, I was truly having a wonderful educational experience as I totally dig natural foods, medicine, soaps, oils, teas etc. I gently put my choice at the counter and left the store. I get it, it's her store to run as she sees fit, I just thought they were open to customers and admiration via picture taking and sharing AND cash. The bad taste in my mouth permitted me from digging into my wallet. Besides, she may have seized my phone camera. So let me GetOut! I wonder how others were able to take pictures as I saw some here on yelp. Maybe it's the watch I was wearing, telling too much darn time. See how absurd that sounds, yeah kinda like how I felt. **sighs**. I love supporting my own, and I'm sorry I'm unable to share my original feelings about this place, this my second visit. Two huge stars for the kind gentleman who attended to me on Monday 29th May 2017 around 6:30pm. My apologies if I got you in any type of trouble with the boss. It's unfortunate my big 400 review had to be this. **le sighs** Hurry and see the photos I captured before I was reprimanded and she reports me to yelp for violating her rights/silent policy. Definitely The END....for me.

If you're looking to be ignored when you walk in, not greeted, spoken to rudely, and treated like you're an inconvenience, then this is the place for you. Basic courtesy, professionalism, and customer service seem to be completely absent. The staff consistently came across as unfriendly, dismissive, rude, and unwelcoming, with attitudes that made the entire experience uncomfortable. I guess this is to be expected from a Jamaican establishment. There are two men who work there one with locs and another shorter gentleman as well and a woman who never smiles and face looks unpleasant and mean. Every interaction I've had with them has been unpleasant. They come across as unapproachable, and as if they don't want customers there. It's incredibly off-putting. The only exception was one young woman who seemed polite. If you're lucky enough to be helped by her, your experience may be different. Unfortunately, everyone else I encountered projected such negative energy that it made me question whether I even wanted them preparing my food. A welcoming atmosphere matters, especially at a place serving food and drinks. When employees treat customers with hostility, it doesn't inspire confidence or make people want to return. The last two times I ordered a smoothie, it was so thick and overly sweet that I couldn't even drink it. Both ended up in the trash, which was a complete waste of money. I also ordered a patty that didn't taste fresh and upset my stomach afterward. I can't say for certain why, but it certainly did not taste freshly prepared. Based on both the customer service and the quality of the food, I would not recommend this business. Management seriously needs to reevaluate the customer experience and invest in hiring and training staff who understand the importance of treating customers with basic respect, professionalism, and courtesy. Loyal customers are what keep local businesses alive, and treating people this way is not a recipe for long-term success. Overall, I'd rate this business 2 out of 10.

My brother introduced me to this place because I'm not the one to be the guinea pig to try a Jamaican food spot with high expectations and they won him over and he's picky when it's come to his native foods. He raved about the peanut punch, patty, and price so I had to try it. I've gone a few times over the summer. I have yet to try an actual meal because I don't have the time but will soon. I love the music because it remind me of me of my childhood so I'm usually putting my AirPods on pause to sing a tune while I'm grabbing something to go on my quick visit. I would recommend visiting this location. They have Apple Pay and take cash as well. I love the smoothies, patties, and drinks. I'm usually there a lil too early for food but from the food I've seen if looks really good.

I asked the young lady what she thinks I should get and she recommended the coco crazy smoothie. She let me taste it before pouring it into a cup, in case I wanted any adjustments (which I found to be a really nice touch.) I loved the smoothie it was really good. It wasn't too sweet and you could taste all of the different components. I also got the cold and flu immunity shot. It was so cold and refreshing. It consisted of ginger, lemon, and cayenne. I definitely recommend trying both. You can create your own juices, smoothies, and salads. There are so many different flavors for patties and empanadas. I look forward to coming back and trying more things off of their menu. I would love to see some soups on the menu as well. In New York,…read moreI've mostly had Golden Krust's version, but Florida really set the standard for what jerk chicken should taste like. Unfortunately, my experience at Jojo's didn't meet those expectations. The chicken tasted more like regular barbecue, as if barbecue sauce had simply been added, rather than having the bold, distinctive jerk seasoning I was hoping for. I was told that Jojo's focuses on healthier options, and if that's the case, I can understand their approach. I eat healthy myself, but when I'm craving a specific flavor, I expect that flavor to come through. This just wasn't what I was looking for. I wouldn't say it's good or bad - it just wasn't for me. If I wanted barbecue, I could've easily made that at home.
