Sargan is trustworthy, knowledgable and affordable! My car was shaking when ever I drove on the freeway and my AC made my car shake even when stopped. I took my car to 2 other places before I decided that I would go with 5 Star Auto Clinic. The first place told me one thing, the 2nd place told me a completely different/unrelated thing. When Sargan checked out my car, without me telling him about the other inspections, he found both issues that were previously brought to my attention from the other repair shops. This assured me that he was detailed in his inspection. He told me what I could wait to do in the future and what I should do immediately. He quoted me a price less than the other two repair shops. When I got my car back, I wanted to twirl around and sing with joy! I don't remember the last time my car was so quiet and didn't sound like a diesel truck, especially when the AC was on. Most importantly, I feel safe driving my car again! Sargan is a good guy.

Rude! I'm amazed at the high rating considering the bad attitude and the outrageous prices they charge for services!

5 stars is a very generous name for a place that treats you like they do here. I would avoid this place and find a different mechanic.

After getting rejected for hours by different tow companies, I got the chance to speak with Luz. She helped us figure out where to go, recommended an auto repair shop that she trusted and made sure we were safe. She kept in contact even after she was off for the night to make sure we were picked up and safe. I cannot thank Luz enough and everything she did for us! Driver Mark came and picked us up and made sure we were comfortable and was very nice. Helped us park our car after being dropped off and showed us the nearest hotels we could stay at and offered to drive us there. I have never experienced such great costumer service and would give these guys more stars if I could. Thank you Luz and Mark!

Then briefly back on the road, my car's temperature gauge rocketed to red in less than 2 minutes as soon as we merged onto I-5 N, leaving us stranded- again. Despite a surge in road rescues because of the 106-degree temperature outside (probably 120 degrees in the car), Golden State responded as quickly as possible and towed us back- free of charge- 18 miles to a AAA diagnostic center despite my bare-bones AAA membership only giving us a 5-mile towing limit. Golden State towed us twice at that distance, no out-of-pocket. Polite, responsive and very helpful especially since I was trying to comfort my sobbing, overheated and very stressed little boy, I give Golden State Towing a huge thank you for their service. And to the SCORES and SCORES of truckers in their 18-wheelers whizzing past us and even slowing in traffic while my sobbing little boy and I stood on the shoulder because it was TOO HOT to be in the car as the thermometer spiked despite the danger of exiting our car next to that fast-moving freeway: HOW could you, in all conscience? I hope some of you long-liners are reading this and feel an appropriate level of shame for leaving a desperate mother and crying little boy on the side of the freeway. A Good Samaritan driver eventually pulled over and we stayed in his air-conditioned car for 45 minutes until our tow arrived. Blessings to him.

I explained this issue over the phone, and again when I arrived. The shop said my front brakes and rotors were worn, so I had both replaced. I assumed this was the reason for the noise. The staff were friendly, helpful, and the price seemed fair. However, after the replacement, the same noise was still there - which was the main reason I came in to begin with. My front brakes would need replacing eventually, but I went in mainly to diagnose the noise. They offered to check the front brakes again for free. They put my car on the lift to listen for brake noise. While I could clearly hear the high-pitched noise each time when braking, the owner said he was unable to hear it. This confused me, because my wife and child can hear the noise every time we leave the driveway. When they backed my car out, we all could hear the high-pitched noise from the rear brakes (not the front brakes). It felt like my main concern wasn't fully addressed during my first visit. I felt like I was first sold a repair (new brakes) before having my actual concerns addressed (noise). Now I'm doubting whether I also needed to replace my water pump that day - which they said was leaking when I first visited to get the brake noise checked. I paid to replace that too, but was it actually necessary, or an upsell? They said they'd take off the rear wheels for $80 to check for debris and clean them, but at this point I'm not confident they would be able to diagnose my issue anymore. I don't want to spend any more money at this shop to check something that should have been checked when I asked on my first visit. To reiterate, all of the staff were friendly and I was treated respectfully and honestly - just to be clear for anyone reading to the end. But I will be looking elsewhere for a shop that listens to customers' concerns before charging for work. UPDATE: After reading the owner's response, I feel shocked. Again, I originally came in only to diagnose a noise - not specifically to replace brakes or rotors (or a water pump). I was happy to pay for new ones in order to solve my issue - the noise. I clearly communicated I was trying to solve the noise both times. I don't appreciate being told it's my fault for not pointing out exactly which wheels the noise was coming from. I'm downgrading this from a 3-star to a 1-star review due to this response. UPDATE 2: No, I was not shown any of my old or new parts before or after replacement - I sat in the waiting room while the work was being done; during the second visit, I was only shown my own car on the lift while trying to diagnose the sound, without any parts removed. But I'm not sure what that has to do with my review. My original noise concern was not resolved, and they didn't seem able to diagnose my issue. The owner's replies to my review sound very unprofessional and accusatory (do you reply like this to every review that's not 5 stars?) and I won't be replying here anymore.
