Since my comments in 2017, she successfully built out the extra space and it's fantastic! For years now, although the salon is typically busy, it does not feel cramped, or overly packed. The staff are constantly busy, be is sweeping, greeting, cutting/coloring/styling, doing consultations, helping each other! The young ladies working the reception area are always so friendly, smiling, and helpful, and they stay busy as well: sweeping, laundering towels, taking out trash, etc. They have great attitudes and are always "on the move" staying busy. I feel like they are contrary to young workers these days as they do a really commendable job! In terms of businesses near Fringe since 2017, things have changed. The Bar [adjacent to the south] is now Pizzelle's Confections. Pints and Pixels is now adjacent to the north. Parlor Doughnuts replace the original space where Rock 'N Roll Sushi was and Rock 'N' Roll Sushi moved to a larger space next door. I mention all this because an appointment at Fringe is surrounded by fun dining/bar/entertainment options within walking distance that makes your appointment more of a destination for an afternoon or evening! Sandy may be eliminating the cute boutique, if I recall correctly, and I don't know if they still offer a punch card for salon product purchases. Do try Fringe! Sandy is a professional, well-respected salon owner and stylist!

Amanda answered the phone. I asked if anyone had any availability for a haircut today. She said she would look. Then asked if I had ever been there before, I stated that I had not. Got a real quick NO! No offer of when they might have availability. Just simply no. I guess they do not need any new business. Well I can promise I will not ever consider Terrame Salon ever in the future! No customer service at all.

This was in the hopes of having my new regular spot for services, but let's just say I don't wanna go back here. This is not my first spa experience, so I was a bit put off by the service through the day. I arrived and there's no clear signage on where to go, eventually someone told me to go check in upstairs, and a girl took me around to ask if I wanted a robe, since it was a full day thing I thought that was assumed. Anyway, after changing I was to put my belongings in a locker, but they were all missing keys, the girl was confused and told me to just put my stuff wherever, which was not a way to begin a relaxing day. Also, nobody I saw working up to that moment was wearing a mask, which just added to my anxiety. The massage therapist was first, and she was great (Sydney), and also wore a mask the whole time, she's the reason I gave 2 stars and not 1, I would see her again at a different location. Meanwhile, the person who did my facial could not bother to wear a mask and didn't even give me any feedback during my service. And the lady who did my pedicure didn't even want to talk to me and decided to chat with the next chair over instead. Oh, and after the massage I noticed they had brought keys for the lockers for new clients who came over but didn't say anything to me, so I took it upon myself to move my stuff to a locker with a key at that point. Management seemed nice and sent me home with a box of chocolates and a candle, but the services were not up to par, and the lack of masking was a complete turn off. So I'm still trying to find a spa in the area.

If you are looking for a professional who is skilled in his trade, Mason is your man. He is very busy and booked out for months but it is possible to get an appointment. Wow, my previous review was a while ago and it's time for an update! Now, I cannot recall a…read moretime/year that was "pre-Mason," and that's a good thing!! He has been my stylist [I'm told "hairdresser" is a dated term] for more than 14 years. I recommend him any chance I get and one of my sorority sister's goes to Mason and has also brought him several clients! Yay! The only thing, from a client perspective is, it's a little more [but only slightly so] difficult to get an appointment - what I mean is, some occasions I'll have to wait a week longer than normal for my next appointment, likely due to the times of day I prefer. Back to Mason, not only is he an absolute genius at what he does, he is an incredible human being. Mason broke the bar of excellence in ensuring to be timely, ensuring *you* are his sole focus, including your comfort [beverages, food delivery from nearby sushi place, charging your cell phone, booking your next appointment via Vagaro, thoroughly explaining and selecting new products for you, etc.] He helped set a pair of hair shears I recently bought for me to use to trim my elderly Mom's hair myself at her memory care, and he even offered to do it himself on his off day [*who* does that?!?!] Mason is thoughtful, thorough, accessible, responsive, attentive, confident, skilled, calm, funny as all get out, a great conversationalist, helpful, and kind. I trust him explicitly with my hair, which really suffered during C-19 due to me having to use boxed hair color at home for so long - UGH!! When he asks, "What are we going to do with your hair today?" I always happily say, "Whatever you want to do, Mason, you're the pro!" And I am absolutely never ever disappointed. On to the salon, Fringe: Fringe is absolutely spotless with extremely hard-working, friendly, fun-loving yet professional people who constantly and seamlessly sweep, remove trash, wash towels, handle clients all while beautifying clients. Since my write-up of 2015, the owner was able to secure the adjacent space [Yay to the added space], and the clothing [t-shirts; dresses; jeans and sweaters] items are no longer for sale; however, they still offer accessories, candles, hair products, drinkware, jewelry, eyewear and additional retail products. I miss browsing the clothing while processing but that made space for additional stylists, a wonderful bonus for Fringe [and clients]. Fringe, primarily because of Mason, truly is my "happy place," and oftentimes my sorority sister/s come "along for the ride" to my appointments, because everyone loves time with Mason, and following an appointment we can enjoy a meal at Campus 805 or nearby Stovehouse. Thank you, Mason!
