Some offered slightly cheaper pricing for my older vehicle, but the reviews here stood out to me. When I called regarding my 1999 Infiniti G20, Vic answered the phone, provided me with a quote, and was respectful, patient, and professional throughout the conversation. The reviews about him were accurate. Vic is chill, professional, and easy to talk to. After both my most visits for service, he will definitely be my go-to person moving forward. Why My Most Recent Visit Stood Out On May 16th around 12:20 PM, I attempted to pay my vehicle registration at AAA in Alhambra and realized I needed a smog test first. I called Vic around 12:30 PM, fully expecting to schedule something later in the week since he closes at 1 PM. He asked where I was, and since I was about 2 miles away, we both agreed it would probably take 15-20 minutes to get there, leaving only around 10-15 minutes before closing. Despite that, he respectfully told me to come down because he could still get it done. When I arrived, both Vic and his colleague assisted me and another customer at the same time while still keeping everything organized and professional. He completed the smog test quickly and efficiently, and the pricing was fair. Honestly, he saved me from having to take another day to handle the smog test which would take time and gas, and that level of customer service really stood out. Shop & Waiting Area Compared to many smog stations, the overall property is shared with several neighboring shops. However, Vic's specific area had enough clearance and space for vehicles to park, wait, and get tested comfortably without worrying about maneuvering through tight spots or risking scratches on other vehicles. The lounge area itself is small, but it's indoors and cool, which is especially appreciated with summer approaching. I also liked that the pricing was clearly posted and broken down by vehicle year/type, making everything straightforward and transparent. Extra Touches One thing that genuinely surprised me was that he polishes customers' headlights after the service. Whether or not it completely restores them, it's still a thoughtful and unique extra touch that most places do not offer. Final Thoughts Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for honest, efficient, and professional smog check service. Vic and his team made both experiences stress-free, and great customer service like that is hard to find nowadays.

They ordered the parts the same day and had my car fixed within about 5 hours, replacing all four brake pads and all four rotors for around $1100. This seemed reasonable compared to the BMW dealership quote of $800 for just the rear brake pads alone. Dennis also did a thorough inspection, pointed out a few future issues to keep an eye on, and told me he'd keep everything noted in my file for when I'm ready to tackle those repairs. Durango starts making an engine noise about a month later. The noise became really obvious after some months. Take it in because I googled it had something to do with the oil. Took it to another mechanic because I didn't trust this place anymore. New mechanic said the oil was really burned bad and hadn't been serviced. Turns out Montebello Lube and Tube didn't change the oil at all! Beware of this place. The employees might assume you're someone else or have problems with someone associated with you and take it out on your car. My car needed more and more repairs after that. The engine noise never went away. Ended up having to sell it for $7,000 because the repairs wouldn't stop. I blame the shady employees. To the owner; you have to supervise and go over the work they do. Should've sued. 2015 Silver Dodge SXT Ernesto Verduzco. Look up the invoice and do yourself a favor and fire whoever serviced it. Around April, March this year.

They all make you feel that you're part of the family. They offered me coffee and cold water while I waited for my car to be done. One thing to remember, they are experts in mufflers, exhaust systems, and not any other type of work. But it never hurts to ask if they can do it for you!
