I'll start by advocating that Village Whiskey lives up to its title of having the best burger in…read morePhilly. I visited for lunch during Restaurant Week, which I enjoyed because of its close proximity to the corporate hub in Center City where I work and for its solid menu. I was seated quickly at a high-top for my noon reservation. The restaurant is much larger inside than it looks, split in half with the left providing an upscale bar aesthetic while the right presents a quieter, modern lounge feel. (It seemed like service staff was directing those with previously-booked OpenTable RSVPs to the lounge side.) Service was great, as my waitress continuously checked in during my meal even as more customers arrived throughout the lunch period. I appreciated being offered to add fries on my burger order, as Village Whiskey didn't have it automatically added on the RW menu. The only drawback was she forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, but it came out medium rare which is the way I eat it regardless. I trust that's how they default, which is a good sign. The Food Breakdown: Deviled Eggs (4/5) - Classic, solid, and a good starter. I honestly selected it since the other appetizer options didn't really appeal to me, but nothing spectacular or negative about it. Four comes with each order. All-American Burger (5/5) - Fantastic. I'm not a pickle enjoyer, but the acidity just blended into each juicy bite. The jam had a slight kick, and you can taste the fattiness within the double Wagyu smash patties. High-quality all around and a solid portion size. Duck Fat Fries (4/5) - They were well-seasoned, and each order comes with a small side of ketchup. Granted I didn't ask, but I almost wish they offered a spicy mayo instead because it would complement the crunchiness better. Overall, the food quality and taste were superb. My only caveat was the price, knowing that $35 after tax and gratuity for lunch (without an additional drink) is costly. I wouldn't be able to come everyday, but it certainly has my vote for sharing with others the destination that has an immaculate burger.

Then, after we waited again for them to take our card, they finally come again took our bill and card, and wait again.... then next they come back a bill with a different amount with no explanation why. We were very disappointed . At this point, we just wanted to leave because of all the waiting. Food is alright not worth with all this bad service. The bathroom is clean. NOT RECOMMENDED with the poor service and confusing bill..

The restaurant has 2 levels and there is an elevator to the second floor. We were seated at a window which was quite nice. We were able to watch the city streets and architecture while enjoying our meal. The service was top notch, they were incredibly fast and attentive. All of the food was fantastic. If I lived around the area this would be a staple for a nice night out!

It's situated right near rittenhouse square so it's a bustling and great area. The spring festival was happening is it was PACKED! We were seated by a window and immediately given water. We ordered some lattes that took quite a while to arrive - we learned they have one coffee machine so things were backed up! Our serve apologized profusely and they gave us a sweet treat on the house at the end of our meal. I ordered the frittata which was delicious and my husband to the omelette . We also got the drop biscuits with strawberry rhubarb jam and omg am good! Our brunch was great and the interior was modern but felt homey and we had the best service and the manager also came to see things were going. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back next time I'm in town!

Multiple TV's, a good variety of draft and canned beverages, and good food choices. The soup special for the day was split pea with ham. Talk about a little childhood nostalgia, Hit the spot! I'm not sure how accountable this review will be, as I did take out not stayed. They were having happy hour but it didn't count for me as I was take out I guess. I got the mozzarella sticks were bomb with the sauce and I got the creamy Mac and cheese. I was excited for the Mac and cheese because I had one last night that was amazing from somewhere else. I got back to my hotel my second but I found a hair. Like a fatty I threw it to the side and kept eating it anyways. Unlike a true fatty, I didn't finish it. So unholy for a Mac and cheese lover like myself... but it was too acidic for me. I couldn't keep eating it. So I'm basing this review solely on the food. The service seemed ok? They seemed nice, but can't judge that as I did take out.

I honestly can't say enough good things about Cleavers…read more I accidentally left my bag here--with everything in it, including my ID--and we had a flight out the next day. I didn't even realize it right away, but somehow the team tracked me down at my hotel (!!). I was able to come back a couple hours later and everything was exactly as I left it. A huge thank you to Zktlko (I hope I'm spelling that right) who went out of his way to make sure I got it back. That level of care is rare and meant so much in a stressful moment. And on top of that--the food is incredible. We had the hoagies, and they were hands down the best cheesesteaks we tried in the city. Amazing people, amazing food. Grateful we stopped here.

I ended up coming back here twice because the food was just so good! It was a chilly evening both nights. When I walked inside the restaurant, the team had greeted me and asked if it was my first time, which it was! You could order at the Kiosks inside the restaurant, or at the front register. There wasn't anyone ahead of me so I ended up looking over the menu first before ordering. Cleavers offers cheesesteaks, beef, chicken, or veggie. You can also get it in a roll, wrap or bowl. Some of their sandwiches include the following Papa's Favorite Steak The Cleaver Effin Hot Steak Zinger Steak Chicken Cheesesteak Hoagie BBQ Chicken Chicken Parm and so much more! If you're looking for alternatives to the sandwiches, Cleavers does offer salads, Fries, egg rolls, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, desserts and other options! I ended up getting the Cheesesteak Hoagie both nights, but tried different cheeses out. The first night I had the cheese whiz and the second evening I had the Cooper American cheese. I only had the steak and cheese on the seeded roll. I didn't wait long for my to go order, about 10 minutes. The walk back to the hotel was about 5 minutes, but the team at Cleavers wrapped my cheesesteak perfectly! It was still warm by the time I got back to the hotel. There is seating inside the restaurant though on the second level! Cleavers has my favorite cheesesteak. I enjoyed both the cheese whiz and the Cooper American cheese. The steak used was juicy and tender. The sandwich was huge! The Philly cheesesteak restaurants I go to in Vegas don't have seeded rolls, and you can tell the difference! The flavor was just so amazing! If you're local to Philly and craving cheesesteaks, I highly recommend going to Cleavers! The team members are great at the restaurant and the cheesesteaks were amazing!
