My husband and I ordered our food. We needed lettuce wrapped due to my egg allergy. They were very careful with preparing our burgers. I always ask for a lot of pickles on my burger; and Jorden D held my burger up and asked if it was enough pickles and I asked for a little bit more. It's very rare that I get that kind of service. Visited after we were not able to go to a restaurant my husband wanted to go to since they said they had no room (but had empty tables). I am fine with Five Guys. I like that they give you whatever vegetables you want on your burger. I like the fries that aren't over cooked so I took a star off since half of ours were darker brown than I like. . They give you a ton of fries. We probably would have been fine with a regular or small order of fries since one of my kids doesn't eat fries and I don't like fries that are too dark. I have never asked if you can get them not so cooked so maybe I'll have to ask next time. My husband loves their fries and food. read more

First of all, I will previous that we have eaten at several Five Guys around the U.S. they have always been great until today. We stopped in for a burger and my wife and i both looked at each other and wished we would have went with the gut instinct and walked back out the door. The place was dirty, floors, tables, drink area, and restroom. We ordered two burgers and a small fry came out rather quickly and was hot and tasty. That didn't make up for the dirty untidied tables and floors. Never had that problem at any other Five Guys. Should have known better but..... when there is a sign on the door stating Now Hiring. I'm assuming my order is correct but every other time before this I've had a good if not great experience at this location. This time the cashier seemed like I was inconveniencing her with my order. I always tip the crew very well because they are normally at least cordial to me but tips will be few and far between at this point. Not happy after this experience and considering I live about a 1/4 mile from the restaurant it takes a decent bit to put me off to the point of not going there. OK, I'll confess. I go to five guys not for the burgers but for the fries. I go home and make my own burgers. I go into five guys, grab a large fry, and then dash for the door and go home. I cannot think of another place that has french fries worth buying. there isn't a frozen fry that comes out tasty. I've made fries from scratch, they are mediocre at best. And if you're going to eat fries, they better be good. Or it's a waste of time. Cool thing about five guys, is they tell you where the potatoes come from that they are frying that day. First, let me say I love Five Guys. I was coming back from the airport and stopped here for lunch on the way home. I should have kept going. Upon ordering I watched the guy restocking the peanuts sneeze right over them. He put his hand up but we all know that won't block germs traveling that fast. Next I watched him carry a box into the back and who knows what he touched back there. oh yeah, and he sneezed again on the door on his way back. I told the guy at the register I was watching to make sure this guy washed his hands. He came back up and paced a bit and then washed his hands, very quickly. (He needs another hand washing lesson.) Then he donned gloves and proceeded to make the food. I hope he's not the manager but he had a white shirt on. My burger also had pickle on it, which I have never gotten on a burger but I'll chalk that one up to me because it was on my receipt and I should have confirmed after he handed it to me. This particular location offers some very nice outdoor seating for those nice days and when you sit outside you arent way far away from the amenities. I absolutely love this place. It's a simple, no frills, burger and fry joint. Burgers are made just the way you like with all the fixins you need. Fries are always made fresh and plentiful. A regular sized fry is plenty for two people to share. This particular location has never gotten my order wrong, it has always been clean, and the staff is always friendly; even coming out to the seating area to ask how your food is and if you need anything. I've been to this location several times and haven't had a bad experience. The 4 stars as opposed to 5 is simply because of the small dining area. I was not happy with my visit here the only other time I've been to a Five Guys is at the Dulles Airport which was just okay. My meal was over $14 for a cheeseburger a drink and fries and I thought that was outrageous. When I got my meal the fries were as soggy is the lettuce on my sandwich. I ordered ONLINE for pickup. I ordered 4 burgers and 1 large fry. i'm currently in a wheel chair due to foot sugery. The reason for my online order. A family member went to pick up the order. They totally messed up my burger. I ordered a large burger with extra lettuce, extra tomato, onion, pickle, mayo, and mustard. What I got was a plain burger. It had two patties, a slice of cheese on a bun. WRONG! To add insult to injury the bun had mustard stains on it as well as the beef pattie. What kind of restaurant would just wipe the mustard off of a burger that they thought was supposed to be plain. Do they think it could not be tasted. No, they just don't give a big harry rat's bum. So, my burger cost me $8.09 plus tax, time, gas, wear and tear on the auto. Super Expensive! I called and spoke to the Mgr. He was polite. After searching for 15 minutes he finally found my order. I gave him the order number, the amount, and order time. It still took 15 minutes. He offerred to replace the burger if I would come back. Never mind that I can't drive or get into the restaurant. Lets increase the total cost of that already too expensive burger by spending more time, gas, etc. I said no thank you just refund my burger charge plus tax. He said I would have to come back to the restuarant and bring my card. It was an ONLINE ORDER! This burger fiasco just keeps on getting more expensive. He said he could give me a credit for another burger next time I came in. I asked him to email me the credit. He can't email it, but he will make note of the issue and all I have to do is bring in my receipt and explain it to the person taking my order. I explained that would not work. I'm supposed to be the one that has to keep up with everything and rehash it at the order counter? How about if I am stupid enough to order online again? GET ALL THE WAY IN THE ONLINE ORDER USINESS OR GET OUT OF IT! STOP PLACING THE BURDEN OF YOUR SCREW UP ON YOUR CUSTOMER. HERE'S MY SOLUTION. How about I just inform the credit card issuer to dishonor the charge and I'll make note of it.
