    Noodle Soup with Beef Stew
    John K.

Other than the kimchi being very sweet (not Korean), the food was actually very fantastic! It has the flambé flavor in its stir fries, and the quantity it way too much that you can split it between 2-3 meals. Really enjoyed the flavors, my parents loved it, and we would return again. The staff guy was plenty nice too. Great location near the Creation Museum. Quiet peaceful area.

Was craving how hot warm soup noodles and decided to try this place out! This place is definitely an hidden gem! I got the signature fish noodles soup and the portion was huge! Soup base was rich with a hint of preserved veggie and chili. Fish was tender and fresh too. We also got the fatty beef with egg too. That one was pretty good. The sauce was flavorful mixed in the rice and they use thinly sliced beef too! So even bite is flavorful! Absolutely love this place. Huge portion and ain't too expensive too. One of the best bang for buck!

Service and food were both an A plus!! We tried Five Grains after my nephew requested Chinese food for his birthday dinner. Our servings were huge and you will most likely have leftovers or could share meals. My mom said her egg roll was the best she'd ever had and we also liked the crab rangoon. I got what I believe was the Five Grain Noodle soup with fish fillet and the fish was melt in your mouth perfect. The bowl was as big as my head if not bigger. Will definitely be making a return visit!

Started with a couple appetizers - dumplings were really good but I wish the chicken teriyaki had a little more flavor. Ultimately decided on the chicken and broccoli. Huge portions and very tasty. I appreciated that the carrots were cooked til tender and great balance of chicken and veggies. Service was excellent and attentive.

Found this place on yelp, it's just 15 mins from home, gotta to try it! We walked in on a Friday night around 5:15pm, and we are the first to arrive! No other guest yet! We ordered pig ear and spiced beaf as appetizers, and they are good, though the pig ear could be a little tender, it's pretty hard on my teeth. I had the hot sour fish noodle soup, husband had their. Beef fried rice. To be honest, I'm not impressed by their fried rice, i think i could make a better one. The noodles soup is very tasty, and i can't resist to drink some of the soup, and the next day, i put on more than 2 pounds, i guess it must be too salty or has MSG in it, that's always the reason your body retains water. Overall i like their cold dish. It's so nearby, i may come back for the spiced beef again someday!

Excellent little gem close to CVG, about 10min. We stopped by on a light snowy night and had to drive another hour and half afterwards. The food came out fast! Warm and very flavor noodles and soup, delicious wanton with spicy sauce! It was not a surprise as I read other reviews but it was very sweet. The waiter was very attentive! Highly recommended.

    Flank steak?
    James B.

I ordered takeout with my two kids: two Mala Chicken noodle soup and one Mala Flank Steak noodle soup. When I got home we each took our two containers: one with noodles one with broth and combined them and I noticed mine had no meat. I called and they told me the flank steak would be in the broth container unlike the chicken which is packed in the noodle container. I explained that I had combined both containers into one bowl and there was no meat. They didn't seem to believe me. As I was on the phone my son noticed his chicken soup had steak in it. Apparently they mislabeled what should have been my steak broth as his chicken broth so he had my meat. So he picks it all out and puts it in my bowl but now both of ours taste weird from the mixing. A simple mistake I could forgive but they made no offer to make it right in any way and I'm out $50 for a messed up meal. Secondly I have loved flank steak all my life which is a fairly lean cut of beef. What I received was a disgusting pile of fat and gristle that was more like beef tendon (see picture of what I removed). Maybe my whole meal wasn't what it usually is, but for me I won't be back and the five star reviews that led me to try it must have had a much better experience than me.

It was just okay. I came here from California and it's hard to find traditional dishes here.

I tried this place about 2 years ago when I moved down to the Burlington area. I was not a fan! I…read moredidn't go back until yesterday and only because my husband insisted that he wanted Chinese and the other place we typically go to ran out of white rice. And that place itself is mediocre. So I order. I ordered: 4 egg rolls, sesame chicken with white rice, orange chicken with white rice, Mongolian beef with white rice, a large beef fried rice and chicken lo mein. It was $70. Okay, I go pick it up and I was VERY skeptical. I served everyone and started to taste and OMG. Not sure if they changed the chef or their recipes or what but this was some of the best Chinese food I've had! Told my husband he was right and that THIS is our new spot. Now we have food to last us for days and it's actually amazing! Not one thing missed a beat. I did eat at home but when I walked in and saw the place, it was clean and ready to serve anyone. They also made me feel welcome!

We often order door dash here , and the food is consistently yummy and well portioned…read more We went here yesterday for lunch to find in and was disappointed. The female at the counter was not super friendly , and didn't even acknowledge us when we were leaving ( we were the only customers there). There is a limited lunch menu, shorter than most Chinese restaurants. Each entree comes with a choice of an egg roll, or chicken on a stick. We both chose the latter: basically it was a big chunk of grilled chicken that was yummy. I got vegetables and chicken, a mix of cabbage, carrots, broccoli, bamboo, baby corn and some others served on a bed of white rice (one can select fried rice). Although it was a lunch portion, it appeared small and lacking of enough chicken pieces. Our other entree was chicken Lo mein, which was skimpy on chicken, Lo mein and flavor. Also served on white rice which was odd, because all the Chinese restaurants I've been to don't serve rice either a noodle dish. Also, I feel like the rice tried to give the impression of a larger dish. Bottom line: I usually promote lunch specials over usually more expensive dinner portions, but not here. Plus the issues with taste and contents. Maybe it was an off day....
