The staff was extremely professional and almost invisible(in a good way) during the reception on September 1st at the Portsmouth Elks Club. As expected, the raw bar was top notch, and the tenderloin popovers, cheddar bites, bacon wrapped scallops, and deviled eggs were so tasty I barely had room left for the main course because I couldn't stop taking more! Our entree selections were similarly satisfying with a delicious chicken dish, glazed rainbow baby carrots, and their clam chowder being notable standouts. The sirloin carving station was a real hit, particularly with their fig and wilted arugula accomplishments, and Chef Ned's bright and engaging personality made this event really stand out with a friendly greeting and engaging conversation for all, both young and old. The whole team was exceedingly friendly and engaged, not cool and aloof like some service staff can be. I'd particularly like to give a shout-out to Jen who not only guided us through all of the planning steps leading up to the big day, but also was kind enough to go to the store after her set up was done and pick up more ice for us for our self-furnished beverage station. Many caterers would have treated this as a "not my problem"situation since we weren't paying them to provide beverages, but she went above and beyond to help ensure our event was a success. Upon arrival to their main office, we had an "almost newlyweds" spot reserved right out front. Dish after dish that came out for us to try was so good, it was hard to choose what to not include - we loved it all! TCA was open to our feedback, and customized one of their dishes to exactly what our vision was. They also went off menu, offering pirogies to speak to my polish heritage. A month before the wedding we did a walkthrough with all vendor teams at my venue. Their expertise & professionalism shined. The TCA team asked questions that I never even would have ever thought of, and all the while further strengthening our trust and decision in them. Come wedding day, all we can say is WOW. The food was most spectacular, even better than the tasting! Each piece from the passed bite, to the charcuterie, to the plated dishes and the hand made desserts, they were each a true work of art. It was all beautiful and so tasty. Our guests are still raving about it! The open faced tenderloin gave us a bit of nerves in how it would come out temperature wise - IT WAS PERFECT. Dan and Silvia were amazing to work with, I remember them very fondly, just really really awesome people. Their serving staff was great as well. They worked with our budget and created an amazing array of hors d'oeuvres, dishes, and a pasta bar. I liked that we were able to try the menu well before the wedding. We had a fall wedding and the ingredients they used reflected this which I liked. I just can not say enough how amazing the food was. I remember my friends joking that the food changed their life.
