Everything and anything is curable with acupuncture. I have seen amazing results within six quick…read moremonths with not only the initial reason for visiting Susanna Carleton of Acupuncture Works, but all together overall body health. Laryngitis last summer caused me to get some major throat damage that doctors told me was only curable with surgery, not talking (obviously this made me laugh), or a vocal coach. I decided to try acupuncture. When I started with Susanna I had the intentions of both improving my throat health as well as improving my overall body health, and I can honestly say, that these past six months have been some of the best months of my life. It has been an amazing experience to help heal my body through a health practice that has been around longer then western medicine. This is probably one of my more serious postings, and I am not sure why... I just feel so emotionally connected to acupuncture that I want to reiterate the incredible health benefits. Strategy: Susanna offers a sliding scale and you can use your flexible health plan for acupuncture... Which in the long run means that you can get the services tax-free if you sign up for the program through your work. Strategy: Susanna's office is based out of her home on The Hill in Boulder, so if you are not comfortable with that then another acupuncturist might be a better option. * Star uno is for an awesome and experienced (15 years) acupuncturist ** Our star number two is awarded to Susanna for her vast knowledge in Chinese herbs and her huge and beautiful selection of raw herb pharmacy *** Mista star three is for an affordable sliding scale and appointment flexibility **** Meet star four, he is here because Susanna always makes sure you are comfortable and warm... Especially on those cold Colorado winters! ***** Our last star is for Susana's strong knowledge in nutrition. She convinced me to start eating red meat again, and now I can't get enough!

I'm so grateful to have her as a consistent support for both acute and chronic physical and emotional discomforts. Having worked with some tricky health issues, I've seen countless healing practitioners over the years and I have found Susannah to be one of the most gifted. In a town saturated with acupuncturists, she stands out because of her expertise and mindful way. I've also brought my teenage son to help facilitate healing of a broken bone and he was able to just chill and listed to music as he healed.

I am so grateful that Monica has her acupuncture practice here in Boulder. Many years ago....20+…read moreyears actually, I discovered that acupuncture was something that could relieve my severe chronic pain. I have been to several acupuncturists in the Boulder area over the years--all were good--however Monica is beyond excellent. She focuses at the beginning of each session on determining exactly what the patient needs--her diagnosis is detail-oriented and flawless, because she is a keen observer and actually listens to her patients. Once the needles are in, she leaves the patient to relax in a peaceful room comfortably listening to relaxing music. When necessary, she utilizes other things such as moxa, Chinese Herbs, and other effective treatments. It is such a gift to have an acupuncturist who really cares!

I was referred to Monica at Boulder Family Acupuncture, and I am so glad I overcame my apprehension and made an appointment with her. First, it's not scary at all. Second, Monica is fantastic, thorough and knowledgeable. Finally, there truly is a cumulative effect with acupuncture. I find myself looking at things differently...in a good way. I'm glad I found my way to acupuncture and Monica. I highly recommend her.

His deep wisdom coupled with the herbs he combines for your particular needs is unparalleled. He has over 50 years of experience and now that I know him I can't imagine going to anyone else. So many people want to become acupuncturists and herbalists these days, and are so quick to think they are experts without putting in the time it takes to become a master. Pao truly is a master, and has the humility that comes from understanding the truly unfathomable depths of acupuncture and herbalism. My words cannot properly convey the level of wisdom he has. Chinese Tonic herbalism is over 5,000 years old and has been used by billions of people. As an example, this last winter in 2018, my son was ill for over 2 months. I took him to a local western doctor here in Boulder and there was nothing they could do. They told me to start eliminating items from the house that he may be allergic to. It was literally pointless to go there. The only medicine they have is was some type of nasal spray to moisten his sinuses. The very next day I took him to see Pao. First let me say, Pao knows how to work with kids. My son who normally won't let you fuss with him, immediately accepted Pao, which amazed me. Pao felt his neck and back and found tiny swollen lymph nodes. He started gently massaging those areas and told me to do the same at home. He then tailored an herbal blend and provided 3 bags that could each be used 3 times to make a tea, and he provided clear instructions how to do so. At home I made the tea for my son and had him drink it every night. After 2-3 days he was better and I continued to have him drink the tea for 2 weeks. He recovered 100% from the illness and hasn't gotten sick since. Moreover this tea is not just to get you better, it moves you to health beyond danger, strengthening your immune system. Subsequently I visited him another time for a check up and got 3 more bags of herbs so Incan continue to strengthen his immune system and guard his 3 treasures (his jing, chi and shen meaning his body, energy and spirit). Pao has also provided me with miracles for my own health and he is the first person I go see for health maintenance and recovery. The Ruseto Center, Pao and his wife are a true blessing from heaven and I can't thank them enough!
