    My partner and I brought in two rings to be resized. We were told it would take about three weeks…read moreand that we'd be contacted when everything was ready. We never received a call, so I called on February 28, the day we planned to pick them up. I was then told the job wasn't finished because of the engraving inside my partner's ring--even though he had clearly said from the beginning that it was fine if the engraving disappeared during resizing. After we repeated that it was fine, we were suddenly told to come in within a few hours. The other ring was mine, and it still didn't fit properly. That day, my partner asked for a very small adjustment--between a size 5 and 5.5 (around 5.25)--because 5.5 was loose and 5 was too tight. The tall female staff member said finger size can change with the weather. I understand that, but I was genuinely worried it could slip off when washing my hands. She told us to come back on Wednesday. When I returned on Wednesday, it honestly didn't feel resized. When I asked about it, the male staff member sighed and told me to "wear it for a week and come back if it still feels loose." He also said he could resize it down by a quarter size and wouldn't charge me for it. That left me even more confused and frustrated--if it could be adjusted that quickly, I don't understand why I was told to wait until Wednesday in the first place. Overall, the communication was poor and the service felt dismissive.

My first experience with the shop, I was gifted a custom necklace by my fiancé, made by the owner, Michael, over a year ago. Michael's attention to detail and craftsmanship is incredible. He was given free rein to design the necklace, using "hummingbird" as the inspiration. His vision, personal touches, and artistic vision made the piece truly stunning. Not only did Michael revive my engagement ring back to brand new sparkle, I was obsessed with these adorable skull pearl earrings (I found out also made by Michael). The whole team at Squirrel City Jewelers are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work. If you're looking for unique, personalised, high quality jewelry- that highlights independent artisans Squirrel City Jewellery is the spot. They offer a unique range of handcrafted one of a kind pieces, inspiring for any style. I will wait until I travel back to Kent to have any jewellery repair or add to my unique collection. In my experience, this store operates like a typical high-volume, rigid "no-haggle" operation, where that policy seems to be used as a shield to avoid meeting even the most basic customer expectations. What stood out immediately was the lack of disclosure and the unwillingness to address obvious issues. The Ridgeline I test-drove had a broken center console lid. Something that should have been caught during inspection or reconditioning. This was never mentioned upfront. When I asked about it, I was told it was being sold strictly "as is" and would not be repaired. I was later told Honda might fix it under warranty, but the dealership still refused to have it taken in before the sale. I was expected to purchase the truck first and handle the repair myself. I also looked at a Tacoma on their lot and immediately noticed molding sticking out along the body. Again, no disclosure. These are issues visible within seconds, yet they were only addressed after I pointed them out. When I spoke with the sales manager about pricing, the experience was equally rigid. There was no willingness to discuss the out-the-door number in a meaningful way, even with visible defects present. The store also attempted to include a $600 "clear-coat finish" add-on that I did not want, and removing it required additional back-and-forth that shouldn't have been necessary. To be clear, my salesperson was polite and not the problem. The issue is the dealership's overall approach: lack of transparency, refusal to address basic repairs, an inflexible pricing structure, and add-ons that don't add value for the buyer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. Customers deserve open communication, proper vehicle inspection, and a fair pricing process, none of which matched what I encountered here.

Instead of addressing the serious brake problem, the dealership focused on a minor issue with the tail lights and seemed willing to repair that while ignoring the much more important safety concern. Brakes are one of the most critical safety components on any vehicle. The fact that this was not taken seriously raised major red flags for me. Customer safety should always come first, and it did not feel like that was the priority here. Because of this experience, I chose not to purchase the vehicle and have since blacklisted this dealership. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering buying a car here carefully inspect the vehicle and make sure any real safety issues are properly addressed.

    Buckeye Sports Center - Shame on you!!!…read more Saturday of last week I went to Buckeye Sports Center to pickup my skis that were being tuned and to pickup another set of older skis that I attempted to sell at their annual ski swap. My older skis did not sell and I needed to pick them up. I was late picking up my skis as a result of my Father's illness, death and funeral. Buckeye Sports Center informed me that because I was late picking up my skis from the ski swap that I was not entitled to the return of my skis or the 200 dollars that I was attempting to sell them for (for which I was to receive store credit). Please note that Buckeye Sports still had plenty of other skis in back remaining to be picked up, they just for a very odd reason did not have my skis. I gave my return ticket to the store clerk and he stated that their records indicated that someone had already picked up my skis. My response was, "well clearly you gave my skis to the wrong person." The clerk responded, "how do we know that" - implying that I was lying to him. Please note that I have been a customer of Buckeye Sports for several decades and as recently had 4 pairs of skis tuned by them. I asked the clerk to review the situation with the owner of Buckeye Sports who was in back and he did. The owner did not have the respect, nor the character, to speak directly with me and instructed the clerk to tell me that there was nothing ownership was willing to do. Thereby callously disregarding why I was late picking up the skis and completely ignoring the fact that the reason why the skis were not there was because his employees made a mistake and gave my skis to another customer who had similar skis. Mistakes happen, but there is no excuse for Buckeye Sports' poor treatment of me as their customer and unwillingness to correct the mistake that was made by their staff member. Needless to say, I will never shop at Buckeye Sports. Their actions yesterday demonstrate bad business practices and even worse business ethics.

They did an excellent job educating me about my new boat as this is my first boat after purchasing a Hobie Pro Angler from them years ago. They put a lot of time, attention, and detail into prepping my boat so it would be water ready. They worked with me to get all the features on the boat that met my needs. VIP Treatment with the boat pickup as they were flexible with scheduling, had a congratulations sign, everyone walking on the boat took their shoes off, they consistently offered drinks/restroom, their service guys came out to answer technical questions, and they highlighted critically important parts of the manual so I may quickly revisit for review as a lot of information was covered during pick up. They don't just want to sell you, but they want to make sure you are set up for success, you are safe, and you have an all around great experience on the water and with Buckeye. Customer oriented all around. Would recommend anyone give Buckeye the first stop before looking elsewhere.
